The committee also drew attention of PWD (R&B) to construction of a culvert between Niuland and Hovekhu village and repairing of Hanging bridge over Dikhu river at Naginimora division, both of which were beyond the fund provision of Foothills Road. Release of running bills to the contractors based on progress report was also discussed and the department assured of sorting it out with higher authorities for an
early resolution of the issue. The committee appreciated the efforts of engineer-in-chief and chief engineer of PWD (R&B) and the respective contractors, including the one involved in construction of Doyang bridge, for their commitment in making the Foothill Road pliable at the earliest as the people were eagerly awaiting its completion since 2013.
