If the region lags behind, India lags behind,” he said He said the NEC can be an effective instrument to bring coherence to these dreams, strategize, plan, catalyze and coordinate the implementation in conjunction with the State governments. “This is the right time to revisit the approaches of NEC as it braces up to meet the challenges of the winds of change that need to be harnessed in the interest of the North Eastern region and its people,” Naidu said, adding that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a path of reform in all spheres with a view to improve performance and productivity. Downdetector confirmed that there were issues on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook platforms. In a tweet, Facebook said: “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.” While there are no indications the outage is connected, Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen stepped out of the shadows on Sunday night in an interview with CBS News “60 Minutes”, shedding light on the dark, murky, troubled world surrounding the Bay Area social media giant. Haugen said she’ll testify to congress that Facebook has deceived regulators and the public about its monitoring of hate speech and misinformation.
Seize 48.14 kg gold bars worth over `22 crore Correspondent
KOHIMA, OCT 4 (NPN): In the single biggest seizure of smuggled bullion in the State, personnel of Narcotics Cell of Nagaland Police manning the interState narcotics checkpoint at Khuzama here recovered gold bars weighing 48.14 kg worth over Rs 22.7 crore (Rs 22,78,56,620) from a vehicle on Sunday. Announcing this at a press conference at PHQ here on Monday, additional director general of police (L&O) Sandeep Thamgadge said the police personnel stopped an XUV-300 (MN0IAS1325) at Khuzama inter-State narcotics checkpoint on the KohimaImphal national highway and thoroughly searched it, resulting in recovery of the smuggled gold.

DIMAPUR, OCT 4 (NPN): Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has recommended the upgradation of Tseminyu sub-division to that of Tseminyu district to the state government for consideration. According to an official bulletin, the decision was made at monthly DPDB meeting held in the conference hall of DPDB Kohima on October 4, 2021 under the chairmanship of DPDB chairman and advisor for technical education and election, Medo Yhokha. DIMAPUR, OCT 4 (NPN): Various tribal bodies including Dimapur Tribal Hoho Forum (DTHF) have extended support to the state government’s decision to shift the Dimapur DC office to new DC office complex, Chumukedima. DoSE, NagaEd sign MoU to develop digital education DIMAPUR, OCT 4 (NPN): Department of School Education (DoSE) and NagaEd, a leading digital education provider, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a digital delivery model for schools across the State. The MoU was signed by School Education principal director Shanavas C and NagaEd cofounder Shiroi Lily Shaiza. According to the MoU, both parties will develop strategies to effectively provide digital education services to students, teachers,

partment in order to develop the Digital Delivery Model of the State. Speaking on the partnership, Shanavas said NagaEd and the department had been collaborating since last year. During the pandemic, the department was on the lookout for programmes that could provide continuous learning to students due to the lockdown. “Gradually, we started producing and uploading educational videos for all classes through our YouTube and Facebook pages. In the
process, NagaEd and the department worked together to develop a software solution where they were able to channelise all videos and resources to a school-specific approach wherein they could directly connect with the students and monitor their learning...,” he remarked.
