Putin, Biden has ramped up his rhetoric against Putin over the last 10 days. Last week, Biden for the first time called Putin a “war criminal” and then later referred to him as a “murderous dictator, a pure thug who is waging an immoral war against the people of Ukraine”. He has also called the Russian invasion of Ukraine “inhumane”, CNN reported. Biden’s new insults further narrow the window of opportunity for improving Russian-American relations. This was stated by the press secretary of Putin, Dmitry Peskov, RT reported. “Of course, such personal insults narrow the window of opportunity for our bilateral relations under the current administration of the US. We must be aware of this,” he was quoted as saying. Peskov noted that the leader of the state must remain sober.

The area is purely within Manipur territory, he claimed and pointed out that it was clearly seen in the internationally recognized satellite map. He claimed that as per internationally recognized boundary map, three/four of the entire area of Dzuko valley belonged to Manipur and the remaining part was in Nagaland. However, due to bad road connectivity, tourists from the state also used roads from Nagaland side to reach Dzuko valley, he said. “It is because of this, some section of people from Nagaland took the opportu-
nity to claim that the entire Dzuko valley belongs to Nagaland,” he said. He also said that the claim of the entire Dzuko Valley was not by the Nagaland government but by some organizations. Stating that the police structure being constructed by at Kezoltsa area was meant for swift response to disasters like wildfire and for security of tourists visiting the valley, he said the state government was also planning to deploy State Disaster Response Force, National Disaster Response Force including fire brigade there. Opposition Congress member K Ranjit Singh who brought up the issue suggested setting up of an interstate boundary commission where both the states could resolve the long pending inter-state boundary dispute. LEH, NWHD condemn Ghy airport incident ‘Ring bells, drums on Mar 31’: Cong Akato-led NSCN refutes WC’s allegations DIMAPUR, MAR 26 (NPN): Lotha Eloe Hoho (LEH), the apex women body of the Lotha Naga tribe, has unequivocally condemned the “barbaric ordeal” meted out to one of its elderly bonafide member Mrs. Mhalo Kikon and her young granddaughter by CISF personnel at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati during a security check on March 24, 2022. In a condemnation note, by LEH president R. Zuchobeni Ezong and general secretary Loseno Ovung also appealed to both the chief ministers of Assam and Nagaland to
“immediately initiate appropriate action against the perpetrators of such heinous crimes against humanity.” LEH further said it was “sheer inhumanity to force an octogenarian on a wheelchair with a hip implant to remove her clothes including her undergarments and diaper.” It added that this amounted to not only physical and mental harassment but was also a violation of an individual’s right to dignity guaranteed by the Constitution of India.” LEH also urged all right-thinking citizens to condemn such inhuman and barbaric ordeal meted out to a senior citizen.

protest against fuel price hike
NEW DELHI, MAR 26 (AGENCIES): Announcing a nationwide protest on March 31, the Congress Saturday attacked the Centre over the hike in petrol and diesel prices and said that the “shameless fleecing” of the public must stop. “On 31st March at 11 am, people will protest outside their homes and public places with garlanded gas cylinders and beat of drumsbells, other instruments to draw the attention of the deaf BJP government against the insurmountable increase in prices of gas, petrol, and diesel,” Congress spokes-
person Randeep Surjewala said. The party’s campaign appeared to draw inspiration from the one that BJP conducted during the nationwide Covid lockdown. Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed said: “Fuel prices were kept constant for 4 months before elections and now hiked four times in just a week. This shameless fleecing of the public must stop!” she tweeted. Congress accused the BJP government of earning Rs. 26 lakh crore in eight years by increasing excise duty on petrol and diesel.
DIMAPUR, MAR 26 (NPN): Refuting the allegations by WC, NNPGs, Akato-led NSCN/GPRN through its MIP said it was constrained to clarify “against some irresponsible statements surprisingly emanating from some matured and responsible organisation like the WC/NNPGs, lest some good folks be misled by incongruous lies and misconstrue it as true.” MIP said that the NSCN, as a responsible people’s government, has no desires to hold any grudge for the simple fact that they know “all too well as to who composes and who writes on behalf of the NNPG.”
MIP once again reminded all concerned that the split within the NSCN (R) was never because of power tussles, or positions or for monetary benefit. It pointed out that the crack in the NSCN (R) first occurred after the NSCN, through its MIP, on May 25, 2021 issued a “clarion call” to all NSCN (R) members to refrain from collecting taxes, since everyone was still struggling and limping back to its feet, because of the lockdown. However, without paying heed to the call, it said that some “brothers and comrades” rather chose to do otherwise, and for which
led to rifts within party and eventually led to a split. Secondly, it said that the claims of WC that “they reserve the right to levy taxes and seek donations does appear paradoxical and confusing, hence we entreat the intellect of the WC to kindly do pray enlighten us as in “which part, or section or article or clause etc of the CFGR does it issue authorization to collect taxes?” Besides, the MIP said that they also leave it to the wisdom and intelligence of the esteemed and benign CF’s office and CF mechanism to ponder upon.
