ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN TEACHERS’ EDUCATION (B.Ed.,)
KSR COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (Batch: 2019 – 2021) INTRODUCTION : In teachers’ education course for graduates, B.Ed., (Bachelor of Education), Environmental Education is an optional subject which has 35 marks for theory and 15 marks for Tasks and Assignments (T & A). Totally, this subject has 50 marks in the second year of B.Ed., It is the common subject for all the majors. This is evaluated by Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) process. Professors who teach environmental education may have extended knowledge in biology or geography. Tamil Nadu Teachers’ Education University (TNTEU) has showed its primary focus on Environmental
Education (EE). The college which has picturized above is “KSR College of Education” located in Tiruchengode, Namakkal district, that is affiliated to TNTEU. ENVIRONMENTAL THEORY
EDUCATION
AS
Theoretically, Environmental Education (EE) is defined as the learning process that makes students to explore the environment for identifying environmental issues and come up with possible solutions. The ultimate aim of environmental education is saving endangered flora and fauna to achieve Sustainable Development Goals

(SDGs). The components of environmental education are environmental awareness, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and participation. The theory paper of environmental education in B.Ed., curriculum consists of five units: 1. Introduction to Environmental Education, 2. Natural Resources - Problems and Solutions, 3. International Efforts for Environmental Protection, 4. Management and Protection of Environment, 5. Environmental Education in School Curriculum. ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION TASKS AND ASSIGNMENTS
TREE SAPPLINGS DISTRIBUTION
AS
In B.Ed., course, the university’s guidelines are heading towards the applications of theories in environmental education. Educationalists give prominence to various field works and field trips for promoting environmental education rather than merely conducting seminars and conferences. They make students to contribute for pragmatism more than cognitivism. Teacher-trainees are actively participating in Eco Clubs, Environmental Awareness Campaigns, and Tree Plantation Programmes. On the 150th birthday anniversary of Gandhiji (October 1, 2019), KSR College of Education (ksredu) had conducted “Water Management Awareness Programme (WMAP)” to educate teacher-trainees about the water supply and conservation processes. The management provided 100 saplings for students to make a nature friendly atmosphere. As per the guidelines of central government, TNTEU conducted “Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) - Greenery” for National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers in all affiliated colleges on the special day (July 30, 2020).

TAGORE’S EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY SWCHHTA ACTION PLAN – KSREDU (TNTEU) CONCLUSION :
“Trees are Earth’s endless effort to speak to The listening heaven.” Rabindranath Tagore To conclude this essay, environmental education plays a major in B.Ed., course as well as our every day life. Human beings need to work hand in hand for reducing the environmental pollutions in all over the world. They must contribute in environmental protection activities with mutual respect and team skills. Environmental Education (EE) is an important subject from primary schools to teachers’ education for teaching students about their roles in the society to preserve the natural aspects of mother Earth.

Air Pollution Environment is important in our life. Air pollution is a major environmental health hazard affecting global health. WHO studies show that air pollution is the cause of 4.2 million deaths per year due to lung cancer, stroke, chronic respiratory diseases and heart diseases. 3.8 million deaths are due to indoor air pollution caused by smoke from fuels and stoves. Air pollution, manmade or natural, can trigger attacks or make existing symptoms worse in Asthma patients. Allergens 1.Outdoor allergens eg. Pollens from trees, grass weeds, pesticides, moulds, tobacco smoke, chemical irritants in workplace, air pollution, traffic related exhaust. 2.Indoor allergens eg. House dust mites on bed, carpet, sofa etc, moulds, pets, Second hand smoke (getting into lungs by sitting near a person who smokes),. People at risk: -Older people with Asthma and other diseases like heart disease, COPD etc -Children and young adults with Asthma -Pregnant women. -People with severe Asthma or Asthma that is difficult to control. -People with Hay Fever. Protection -Know what your risk is for Asthma. -Know how much sensitive you are to air pollution.
-Know when air pollution is high in your area and reduce your exposure accordingly. AQI gives you accurate information. -Listen to your body. If you get symptoms of Asthma when air is polluted, stop your activity or find another less intense activity. -If you are active outdoors and the air is polluted, change your activities eg. Go for a walk instead of jogging. Spend less time on activity eg. Jog for 20mts instead of 30mts. -Plan your exercises when and where pollution levels are lower. eg. In summer, plan your activities and exercises for morning. Keep away from busy roads or industrial areas. On hot and smoggy days, exercise indoors. -Keep your quick relief medicines (like Inhalers or Rotahalers for Asthma) on hand when you are active outdoors -Consult your doctor about use of medicines before starting any new exercises or activities outdoor. -If you get symptoms during certain types of activities or exercises consult doctor and take medicines. -If you are having cough, wheeze or tightness of chest, or finding it difficult to breathe, walk or talk, urgent consultation with doctor and treatment in hospital may be required. Let us plant more trees to make environment pollution free and save our Mother Earth. Let us colour our world Green! Let us breathe safe air!

Nature’s Revenge Man is the most intelligent creature out of all the living beings on the universe. Man learnt to use natural resources by his wit. Nature has given man everything. But what did man give to nature – pollution, exploitation of natural wealth, destruction of wildlife. Man did not stop in any way to exploit nature then nature showed such an orgy in 2019 that the movement of mankind all over the world stopped. Such an infectious disease spread from which human beings imprisoned themselves inside the house to avoid themselves. Today man is standing at the crossroads where he is feeling pity on the pathetic condition of nature, which is the result of wrong deeds done by him with it. Perhaps the human has forgotten, no matter how big the child becomes, he needs the mother's ‘’AANCHAL’’ in every situation. But man has made so many holes in it with his negative actions that is no longer able to protect him from any poisonous water and poisonous air. Since 2019 till today, human being is spending the life in this confusion that what is happening after all. Like he doesn't know because of whom this is happening. The way nature has been exploited in the last so many years, it is a result of that, perhaps
that is why Mother Nature has taken this step to try to sew her torn AANCHAL again. By this nature took advantage of the opportunity and decided to heal the wounds on her chest. Then the wind, the animals and the birds, the trees and the plants, all looked free and happy. They started roaming here and there with pride. Only the human remained sitting inside his house holding hands. Even after suffering so much, nature, like a mother, leaves her children with only one reprimand that if she wants, she can still improve. Man should take a lesson from the fact that this earth does not belong to him alone. By making good use of the gifts given by nature and by controlling our greed and selfishness, by following the rule of 'live and let live', this earth can be green and beautiful again.

Environmental Responsibility Earth is a beautiful living planet in the Universe and the common habitat of more than 7 billion human population and millions of species of biodiversity. Our Earth provides us with food, shelter and most of our requirements. Despite unavoidable free services provided by the earth to humans, we are not able to pay off her kindness to us. Rather we humans are being cruel to our Earth with our selfish activities. Mahatma Gandhi said, “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.” Every day we produce tons of degradable and non-degradable waste, and throw it anywhere recklessly. Smoke and harmful gases from our homes, vehicles and industries are suffocating her. We are disposing of dirty sewage, drainage and even chemicals recklessly, although we know that more than 7 billion humans, along with all plants and animals in this world, rely on water for their lives. If we aren’t concentrating on saving those water resources, then in near future water may be as expensive as PETROL or one-day people may die due to thirst. Despite huge noise by our jumbo population itself, we
use loudspeakers for our entertainment & industries, airplanes or other noisy vehicles for our luxury. We destroy forests for agriculture & settlement. We build huge build Saving Environment would certainly protect the animals. Extinction of many species will not take place due to saving Environment. Many endangered species would also increase in population. The water level would rise. Damage to Environment has severely reduced the level of groundwater. Furthermore, there is a scarcity of clean drinking water around the World. Due to this, many people fell ill and die. Saving Environment would certainly avoid such problems. Thus, for the sustainability of our planet, I promise to fulfil my responsibilities towards Mother Nature as a global citizen so as to protect my living planet from deterioration & to handover clean & green planet to our future generations. Maybe our single efforts may seem small but if thousands of youths can unite together towards nature conservation then one day our efforts will be a drastic step to protect our motherland Earth from destruction.

Environmental Responsibility World Environment Day 2021: World Environment Day is one of the biggest annual events organised by the United Nations (UN) to generate awareness about the significance of nature. The United Nations Assembly established World Environment Day in 1972, which was the first day of the Stockholm Conference on the human environment. World Environment Day is observed on June 5 every year to remind people about the importance of nature. The day is celebrated across the world to inform people that nature should not be taken for granted and must be respected for its values. This day is observing across the world to respect and acknowledge everything that the environment has given mankind and to take the pledge that to protect it. History of World Environment Day The program began in 1972 to spread awareness about the degrading environmental conditions and the unstable ecological footprints. In 1974, the theme of World Environment Day was 'Only One Earth'. Since then, various host countries have been celebrating it. World Environment Day was first observed in 1974 in the United States.
Ecosystem loss is depriving the world of carbon sinks, like forests and peatlands, at a time humanity can least afford it. Global greenhouse gas emissions have grown for three consecutive years and the planet is one pace for potentially catastrophic climate change. The emergence of COVID-19 has also shown just how disastrous the consequences of ecosystem loss can be. By shrinking the area of natural habitat for animals, we have created ideal conditions for pathogens – including coronaviruses – to spread. With this big and challenging picture, this Year World Environment Day is focus in the ecosystem restoration and its theme is “Reimagine, Recreate, Restore.” Ecosystem restoration means preventing, halting and reversing this damage – to go from exploiting nature to healing it. This World Environment Day will kick off the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), a global mission to revive billions of hectares, from forests to farmlands, from the top of mountains to the depth of the sea. Only with healthy ecosystems can we enhance people’s livelihoods, counteract climate change and stop the collapse of biodiversity.

JULY 2021 - 017
As human beings evolved, the tendency towards irresponsible consumption of natural resources increased. The desire for materialistic pleasure damaged the environment . The blind race for development and industrialization created challenges such as climate change and global warming. Environmental protection holds the key to the survival of human civilisation. Our collective and individual efforts to protect the environment should not be impervious to ancient wisdom. Forests are the lungs of our land ,purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people. Covid has told the significance of oxygen for which people have paid thousands of rupees for a single day. So think how much we have idebted to the nature, which is immeasurable if we will try to calculate from womb to tomb.
The second wave of the pandemic has made us realise how important oxygen is and how it can make a difference between life and death. So even with all mentioned efforts ,We cannot turn back time. But we can grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets and clean up rivers and coasts. We are the generation that can make peace with nature. Let’s get active, not anxious. Let’s be bold, not timid World Environment Day will keep reminding us of the wrong we did to our environment and the right we need to do to correct it all. Let us give our coming generations a healthier and happier environment to have a beautiful life…

Environmental Responsibility Environment is not just the area surrounding us, but also the thoughts that lead us to look at it in a respectful way and motivate us to protect is. To keep one's surrounding clean, one should be clean first and then steps should be taken to ensure cleanliness of the environment around. Children need to be taught the importance of protecting the environment and the consequences if not done so. This will motivate them to be environment friendly from an early age. Adults have a huge influence on children and so their behaviour towards environment has to be all the more responsible and friendly, so the children will ...
follow in our footsteps. Nature should be regarded as the supreme force and it should be handed over to the next generation in a safe and healthy manner. The fate and welfare of the upcoming generations are in our hands, and it is our responsibility to protect it. for us and next generations. Environment also means animals and nature around us, and it is equally important to protect them just as we protect human beings. One should help cattle and feed them as and when required, because taking care of cattle in an important part of environment responsibility.

Mother Earth When first the good lord created me, I was a sight for sore eyes you see. Clear blue sky and greenery all around, Chirping birds was the only sound. My waters were clean and crystal clear, All lived in peace without any fear. My paths were litter free, Surrounded by lush green trees. I was so proud of my mountains, And all my regular seasons. Nothing interfered with my beauty, Until gradually man forgot his duty. His desire for wants are not just his needs, His demand for luxuries is now his greed. In his mad rush of fulfillment, He has destroyed the environment. Now my skies are forever covered in smoke, Man is breathing impurities, only to choke. Honking vehicles is all that can be heard, Where are my cute little chirping birds? My fishes have become breathless, Water debris is killing them senseless.
There's scarcely any flora and fauna left, Man has robbed me & I convict him of this theft. All my cycles and seasons have gone haywire, I'm fed-up of satisfying man's never ending desires. Oh lord! When will his thirst quench? When will he relieve me of his twisted wrench? Man O man! listen to me carefully, I'm pleading with you humbly, Mend your ways or only you will suffer, Global warming is about to become rougher. Your babies will be born with diseases, Understand before all my help seizes. Mother Earth may come to an end before you, I've given you immense… Now it's your turn to pay the due.

Letter from Mother Earth To my dear Sons and Daughters, I hope you all are in the pink of your health and for those who are presently facing any difficulty, I assure you that soon there will be smooth sailing! Well, I am writing this letter to you my child just to say that I have always been selflessly looking after your needs, providing you everything in abundance but definitely I can't afford to fulfill your greed. Mr. Sunshine has been looking after you since time immemorial making your days shine bright, hope you have felt the mumer of the gentle breeze that has been blowing since ages, talked to the eternal rivers and mountains created just for you to heal your soul, talked to the trees and flowers and have known the ultimate joy and listened to the chirping birds and animals that have so many things to say to you. If not, then seriously you have missed the most precious gifts that I have for you. My laps are where every Creature of the divine is blessed with sheer acceptance and love because as a mother that's my responsibility. I just want to remind you that, "My children, your Mother is healing and in this process she needs your support and your Positive affirmations to once again love you and provide for your needs with full zest and zeal." I am sure you are going to help me heal so that everything heals because life starts from the Mother. Happy Mother breeds Happy Family. Stay Safe and Healthy. Blessings for you all my children. Sonia Achantani Career Counsellor - Kutch, Gujarat
Love Your Environment Today humans are disgusted with the surroundings & conditions they have to live in without realizing that they themselves are responsible for it. Everybody very enthusiastically celebrates World Environment Day but it lasts for that only one specific day of the year because for the other 364 days they use and exploit the Environmental Resources as per their needs and wants. Environmental Responsibility can be defined as a responsibility which teaches us to use our natural resources in an amicable way, prevent from polluting our soil, water & air. Well there are four different categories of environmental responsibility and they are : an Individual, the Society we live in, the Industries/factories & the Governing body as we all are equally committed and responsible towards the circumstances and conditions we create for ourselves. Our responsibility does not finish by making laws alone, we need to see how the laws are implemented and followed. We need to follow the laws and stick to the rules first and also create an awareness for the same if someone is breaking the law or not following the rules then we should be strong enough to oppose him/her and stop them from doing wrong or harming the ...
environment. We all need growth and development for which we come up with new factories and industries , sky scrapping buildings, villas, office and shopping complexes, etc.etc…the list can go on and for that we started cutting down forests without giving a second thought that this could harm nature and spoil our environment. Today we have tall buildings to live in but no fresh air to breathe because we cut down the trees that give us oxygen. We have well established industries as a good source of earning but no good quality of water to drink as the chemical waste from those industries have polluted the water by mixing in it. Our children are deprived of seasonal and fresh fruits and veggies as there is very less agricultural land left with farmers because the land is used for business & residence infrastructure. The conclusion lies in the saying “ You Reap What You Sow “ which means we get back what we give, so friends lets pledge today that we will always respect nature and be thankful so that we get the same back from it.

Do we own our environment? What about our responsibility? ties towards them, then what about our responsibilities towards our environment? Why we neglect this responsibility? Focusing on three questions will help us to fulfil our environmental responsibilities: What? Why? How? WHAT is environmental responsibility- It’s our duty to protect and improve our environment. Environmentally responsible individual/business/community/Government will always assess their environmental sustainability and applies this knowledge to their decision making.
My thought while creating this art was that how natural resources are distributed among or OWNED by different sections of society. Some have over access to it and hence enjoying it like an ice-cream whereas others are completely deprived of it. Those who are enjoying it- will they be able to relish it forever the way these resources are consumed? NO, it will vanish one day as it melts away! We all love, save and protect our children and take full care of our responsibili
WHY to be environmentally responsibleWe cannot continue to use our world without regard to its sustainability. There is an urgent need to take environmental responsibility very seriously within every type of business and sustain our environment for future generations. Environmental Responsibility is the pillar to development guiding us to manage the use of natural resources in the most effective and efficient manner in order to reduce environmental impacts and financial costs. Let’s Save Our Environment When I was writing this based on the theme—Environmental Responsibility, I was wondering what is the best way to raise awareness about the environment and create eco-friendly citizens? The best earth-friendly practices require the cooperation of everyone in the household. So, how do parents get kids to reduce, reuse, and recycle and embrace the other basics of environmental responsibility? There are plenty of little things we can do daily to help preserve our planet. The best is to begin from home by being good role models to our own kids. Everyday, the whole family can opt for basic environmental responsibility by doing small actions. Teaching your child to sort waste, avoid wastage of food, respect the environment, not throwing waste on the ground, turning off the light when you leave a room and close the water tap when washing your teeth can go a long way in inculcating environmental responsibility in kids. Remind kids to power down computers, turn off the TV when nobody's watching, and resist lingering in front of the refrigerator with the door open. Buy rechargeable batteries for your kids' electronics and toys and teach them how to care for and recharge them. This reduces garbage and keeps toxic metals, like mercury, out of landfills.
Ask kids to gather toys, books, clothes, and other goods that they no longer use or want for donation to local charities. These tips are just some ways to get your family to become more earth-friendly. Once you get everyone on board with conservation, challenge your kids to come up with new and interesting ways of going green. As part of sustainability education, my kids were introduced to the concept of sorting and recycling at school. We reinforced it at home by sorting waste according to category like food, paper, glass and plastic. This sorting made our kids aware of how much waste we produce. A Kinder-egg on a Friday produces plastic. When children are aware of sorting and recycling, they notice all the plastic packaging that follows getting a new toy. They think and question it. Using plastic bottles, toilet paper rolls, egg trays and old clothes we did some craft activities. Living in Dubai, discovering nature becomes a challenge. You can plan family vacations that focus on the great outdoors. Making a day-trip to the nearest mountain can be a perfect place to learn about the amazing mother nature. Fishing and hiking are the ideal opportunity to introduce your child to the nature and circle of life. You can use the opportunity to explain how nature works.

Shorter trips might include a day at the park. Even a visit to the beach can offer plenty of opportunities for you to point out and discuss the plants and animals you see and why it's important to protect their habitats. Gardening is a great way to introduce young children to nature in a meaningful and rewarding way. You can build a small garden station together. Your child will probably be very happy to sow seeds, water them and then reap the fruits and vegetables. See the results of their work. Engaging your kids in this way will get them
to start thinking about how their individual efforts affect the world they live in, and how little changes can — and will — make a difference. As with most good habits, the best way to teach them is to be a good role model yourself. By showing that you care about and respect the environment, your kids will do the same. It’s good to teach children that their actions have consequences. Encourage them to ask questions. There is no age limit on when you can learn about environmental responsibility. Environmental Responsibility "The reason we should be the first to save our nature is to save our life." Since 2020, we have been suffering from Covid 19. The cause of this pandemic is just we forgot all the duties we should be doing for our nature. "AS YOU SOW, SO SHALL YOU REAP" We all have the power to give back to nature for what all it has given us. Nothing in the nature lives for itself. Rivers don't drink their own water, trees don't eat their own fruit, sun doesn't give heat for itself, flowers don't spread fragrance for themselves. "Living for others is the rule of nature." If our nature has given these much things to us, why can't we return something to it by not cutting trees and planting more and more trees. Clearing of forests for urbanization and wood use, may not only affect our environment but can also put our lives in danger, as trees are the only source of oxygen. Our duties and responsibilities for the nature and environment must include- Taking steps to prevent pollution from the different processes involved in our industrial operations. To carry out environmental protection programs. Avoid trade and purchase of illegally extracted timber. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. Implement the 3 R's -
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Converse water using following methods- Conserve rain water by installing underground tube wells. Prefer not to use showers for bathing. Check faucets for leaks. Turn off the faucets while washing hands. Reuse water used for cooking. In order to conserve our nature, we can also use reusable bags and avoid plastic bags. Bike more, drive less so as to reduce pollution. Save electricity by using long lasting light bulbs. Never send chemicals into our waterways. "ENVIRONMENT isn't asking us to conserve her for her, but for our future generations." "Be the first to save the nature, take an initiative to save the environment, you would see the others doing the same." "Don't just say, 'I am not enough to save the nature' because you are the only one saving the nature." "IT IS OUR DUTY TO SAVE ENVIRONMENT'S BEAUTY." "The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it." "I AM DOING MY DUTY TO SAVE OUR NATURE, ARE YOU DOING?" "THAT'S ALL" "THANK YOU"

Environmental responsibility starts here My child Sathya, she is an angel because she is a gifted child to me. She was suffering from genetical disorder (mitochondrial disorder ). I like to share an incident with you and then come to a conclusion. It was a marriage party and I attended it with my family. After dinner feast we had a chat sitting around in chairs, eating ice creams. Kids wear all running to collect ice creams. Her father brought her two cups of ice cream but she took only one and started to eat. We were all busy talking about long stories that was left behind. I always keep an eye on my daughter as she was little stammering while walking. My cousin put her icecream cup below the chair and she started to join us in the stories. Sathya finished her cup of ice cream and got up slowly and started to search for the dustbin. One of my old aunty said, " put the cup down ,later they will clean it". But she denied she found the site of the dustbin and she started to collect the cups that were scattered nearby. Started to walk towards the dustbin . I accompany her, she said, "ma it's very ugly to see the cups around us I think that aunty and granny have knee pain so let me put it in the dustbin". I felt proud about my daughter.
A good behaviour that turns to be a habit from the childhood will give an effective result. It may be a simple thing to see but when all our habits reduce pollution it's good. Collection of small dots will form a line . We are celebrating environmental day, we keep reinforcing "save nature" slogan in our syllabus for all classes. We share messages, we post messages .We do all this but a small thing is missing in our society. From the very childhood it's important to inculcate good behaviour has a habit then slowly the society itself will turn to be a perfect society with environmental responsibility.

Environmental responsibility - A burning issue We, the human being are the part of nature and nature is our mother, so the responsibility and caring towards our mother nature needs no mention or explanation. If we neglect or do ill treatment to our nature means we are inviting self-destruction and catastrophe. Till death every day we live our life only with the dependency of our nature. As we, the human being, have started to live with comfortability, we have ignored natural properties and their need of presence. As a result, we have started destruction of natural properties and wealth to make those wealth as personal wealth. Our lives are deeply interlinked with nature, day to day we are forgetting this. Day to day we, the human being have disrespected our nature and natural resources to create our lavish life. Ancient people and our fore fathers have utilized the natural resources to live a simple, hazardless life. Being as an educator and international teacher I have travelled many countries, I have seen various type of life styles and natural environmental responsibilities, the people are following whatever class they belongs to or their capabilities. Each and every one will have to follow that “We are for the nature, of the nature, by the nature”. In this regard I must say that environmen-
tal responsibilities will have to follow by four segment of our society and those are (i) As a Community, (ii) As an Individual, (iii) As Industry and (iv) As a Government. Each and every one will have to take the responsibilities to protect our nature otherwise it will have a great impact to each and every one of us. We will have to consider the choices we make each day: how you travel, the food we consume, the products we use
Area Cleaning program at Cambodia (i) As a community : we will have to respect the environment, making rational use of natural resources and taking steps to prevent pollution from the different processes involved in our industrial operations. very serious about our commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and protecting our environment. We are responsible for various type of calamities. We have to continually invest in the latest technology and processes to help reduce, not only our personal carbon footprint, but the carbon footprint of our country. We have to reduce our dependency on imported fossil fuels for energy purposes. As a farmer, they use different types of chemical fertilizer products to increase the volume of vegetables & fruits on cropping which is not only poisonous for our health but also its soil & water pollution too.
River bank made by Concrete for protecting water polution (ii) As an Individual: Each and every one will have to take various steps as a responsibility to respect the environment, to protect our environment. What you may feel to be small steps can have a considerable impact on your carbon footprint. Actions such as showering rather than bathing, putting lids on pots and reducing hob heat, drying clothes outdoors rather than in a tumble dryer, and turning appliances off rather than placing them on standby are just some of the ways in which you can play your part. Not only that but also as an individual each one of us shoulder following simple things to help and protect the earth: (a) Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources and landfill space.
(b) Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. You can get involved in protecting your watershed, too. (c) Educate. When you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources. (d) Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean. (e) Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag. (f) Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch off when you leave the room! (g) Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change. (h) Don't send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office. Under international norm, every person has the right to live in an ecologically sound environment adequate for their health, well-being, dignity, culture and fulfilment. Therefore, it is incumbent on everyone to promote, preserve and protect environment against any kind of degradation

Now-a-days maximum industry releases all harmful chemical gases and liquids to our nature which is the main reason for Global warming, Green gas evaporation, Natural calamities, Water pollution, Air pollution, Sound Pollution etc. ;Corporate Environmental responsibility is about managing the use of natural resources in the most effective and efficient manner in order to reduce environmental impacts through energy efficiency and financial costs (savings).

Government will have to look after for some common responsibilities which describes the shared obligations of two or more states towards the protection of a particular environmental resources. Government should have to be very strict to follow the guidelines of environment policy and must include a wide range of course curriculum in the education system to educate each and every child for the awareness of environmental responsibilities in a very strict manner then only a nation can educate themselves and start protection of our mother nature.

The Role of Students in Environmental Protection: We call the environment the living and inanimate objects around us. The environment plays a major role in a person's health. But now we have to understand that due to many scientific changes only the greatest harm to nature is not only to nature but also to us. Environmental pollution patterns and their effects: Air pollution Water pollution Soil pollution Noise, light pollution, food pollution
We stand in the doorway of the hospital polluting ourselves with everything we need for our daily lives. People of that time polluted the environment but also followed ways to fix it, worshiped nature as a god but we never cared about it. "We are the first generation to realize the effects of climate change and the last generation to correct it," said Jay Insley. Yes, if we do not protect nature now, our descendants will not get its benefits. They will have to go to other planets as they do in Hollywood movies. One thing we all know about Delhi air pollution is that there are reports that breathing polluted air is equivalent to smoking. That condition is enough for some time to come to the towns where we live.

The smoke coming from the vehicles threatens us like a monster. We aspire to a life of luxury, lose nature and live artificially. In big cities like Chennai, look for celery for morning work. Like an ant, a two-wheeler is everywhere on the road. Cars are the only ones that use it. Alternatively, you can use the bus and train twice a week, even if you can't do it every day. Humans who add material to future generations should count on leaving a little clean air. Instead of adding gold and material to their offspring, they can add a little clean air, good water, and nature. June 5 is observed as World Environment Day, a day when awareness ceremonies for human beings are held in schools, and couples should observe it daily, not just one day. Educational institutions now offer a number of courses such as environmental protection methods, education, and environmental management. It is good for the country if students grow up with an interest in the environment from an early age.
Some simple tips to protect the environment: Instead of building a house entirely of concrete, you can set up a small garden at the back of the house and grow plants! Household waste can be separated into compostable and non-compostable waste! Avoid own vehicles as much as possible and use public transportation. Using a bicycle is even more special! You can take the bag with you when you go to the shops. Go there and avoid buying and using plastic bags!
The role of students in environmental protection: The environment is an important part of life for you, me, and other living beings. Land, water, air, space, fire, food cycle, wildlife, agriculture, and seasons are intertwined in the web-like environment. Even if any of these are cut in a small space, it is for us. It can cause great harm to our own and non-living organisms.
You can use both sides of a sheet of paper when printing out on a computer. Thus reducing the use of paper! You can form small groups in school, college, office and conduct environmental awareness programs! Mother Nature gives her mother's secreted milk as rain water but we give her poison and forget that it will join us again. Let nature live and we will live.

Environmental Responsibility And Protection Paryavaran par karo vichaar , baccho par yeh sistachaar Aao haath badhao, Bhimbirsa Immense foundation ka saath Nibhao: Why it is important: as it is self-explanatory and recently we have seen in pandemic COVID-19 phase two, lakes od people have lost their lives due to shortage of oxygen and doctors and science has failed to keep the people survive despite claiming to have all facilities in the hospital, which is a latest example infront of us... Surprisingly I am not hesitating to mention here, while Visiting rural areas during the pandemic for the awareness to poor public about Covid,it is surprised to note and see that the people's who are residing In forests /jungle areas are having more immunity than the persons are residing in urban areas despite having no facilities except an factor of clean environment where they are living... Why it's important: (i) it is important for healthy living and existence of life on the plane of earth. (ii) Earth is having different living spices (inside or outside) in addition to people and animals and we all are dependent on the environment for food, Air and Water. What needs for protection: As we all are aware that India is a developing country,
Where every such type of factors which may be harmful may require to reconsider by the Government of India and improve to stop damage environment...hence in my opinion with immediate steps following steps are required ... ....(1) GOI should make a such policy (applicable in all the states envariabally) ,while allocating the plots for industry to follow the guidelines and only after fulfilling the terms of environment, they may be allowed to start manufacturing and import- export and the ratio of establishment of factory and other immunities like plantation, park and roads ,or waterpreservation tank must required to collect and use rain water ... (2) While allowing tenders for Mega structure/Roads it should be a condition to replant the double trees either by the Government himself or by the persons/company whome the work is allocated, otherwise or if it is not completed the money should be deducted directly and may assign the work through outsourced or some reputed NGO'S working in the this areas... (3 It is seen and felt that in the name of tourism government authorities are not keeping the keeping the factors of environment in mind and started the business activities to earn income, which infect is dangerous and it needs to have kept in

mind while making plan for tourism and should be developed within permissible limits.. (4) While allocating some important work but dangerous works like 5G spectrum, where. Companies have released dangerous amount of radioactivity into environment during the time of pandemic COVID-19 phase-II , and while trying 5G Internet working neither the Government nor the companies have apprise the public through radio, television or Newspapers and I am confident that lakh of lives have effected ... Having no data with the government, how many peoples/birds have effected with this things is also dangerous and needs to control. Suddenly thousands of people's having no symptoms either of covid or other illnesses have collapsed suddenly (5) While developing the roads in big cities it is required to have a separate track for cycles and it is better to use bicycle and two wheeler, while traveling nearby or for the smaller work than car.which may useful I reducing pollution and to protection of environment... (6) We need to protect the trees and to have such feelings to grow new plants by every citizen of India, if really serious for protection of environment... (7) I being a founder of Bhimbirsa immense foundation has taken oth to grow thousands of plants every year by the Members and volunteers .. and similarly I aspect from the NGO'S working on the areas are requested to start the work honestly to enable to make our valuable contribution... .engaged my self to grow plant whenever I got chance to do it but now In regular bbif is doing the work actively since last approx three years and grown lacks of trees, which are being protected by the Volunteer who are getting benefits from bhimbirsa Immense foundation. Which will be continued.. Important note- Educate everyone to plant more and more and to protect the plant like a child

I was amazed at his responsibility towards our society. He comes from a middle class family and then his son is studying engineering at Kongu Engineering College. MR.Bala's son name is B.Sanjeev .He scored highest marks in his SSLC and HSC examinations. MR.Bala's family cultivates many misery in his surroundings and outside ... He lives for rent, and there is full of tress by his true hardwork .His wife B.Thamarai focuses more on nature. She is very motivated about planting .. Every Sunday MR. Bala sir is going to plant some saplings with his colleagues. "If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” -Mother Teresa
Whenever he picks up the phone he only looks at the plants and the seeds. He often renewed his love for nature. So I called him as "A green man in Erode". "Real happiness starts the healthy life when we plant a tree" so we should give more importance to our nature and earth. Lots of compliments and big applause to you Bala sir.You are really doing it for all the good of our community and not everyone really has the courage to do this. Keep going and All the very best sir.
These lines are exactly matched for MR.Bala sir. Because he provides food for poor people, police officers, and handicap people with the help of his colleagues. He used to go school with uniform as the same costume of his students. He has received many awards for his academic service. He has also appeared in many newspapers , magazines and Television shows too.
He has planted various saplings with the help of his students. from childhood, we have heard that trees are our best friend but in practical life, we didn’t see anyone who treats trees as their friends. but Mr.Loganathan sir is not like that.He give more importants to tress because, they are the most valuable life source on the earth. They benefit every life form in a direct or indirect way. He connected his students to nature by planting saplings. Trees are important for our survival as well as the ecosystem. Without trees, life would not have been possible. Trees provide us with two of life’s most crucial components – oxygen and food. So we should give attention to planting tress. "Plant a sapling now for a better future.”

Our Mother; Our Signature. I’m a human, Living and being in this beautiful world, I sigh and say, ‘’This is our mother, always giving and nurturing.’’ Or am I in slumber? Imagining all this divine; because I know that it’s not true? As I cross an untold but known border, I wonder how our human signature, Might have changed over the years on our mother earth, Are we accepting our responsibility? Or are we refusing to be held accountable? Choosing the right over the pleasant is a sign of power, Staying down to earth; not curling or twisting, Like a humble signature; having enough sense to see the truth, Taking up the work with a smile on our face, Will be the greatest gift we have ever given to our mother. No matter the resistance; the shackles bringing us down, With our heart singing your song, Believing that you know that we have awaken, Bringing you back to your prime; letting us follow your footsteps to nourish, As we go above and beyond; is the human signature we want to sign.

Environmental Responsibility About the Author
I am Nandini Mehta, and I study in 10th grade. I live in the city of Mysore, which is known for gardens and palaces. I love reading, through reading I knew about so many problems regarding nature. I had done the project on conserving this lake in 2019 and its named ‘Revive the lake pollution forsake’. We were helped out by our beloved science teacher Lokeshwari shastry to accomplish this goal of reviving the lake. This project helped me lot to a better human being, I hope that this article will help to get a good understand. The above topic says everything. Being responsible in conserving the environment and respecting it is environmental responsibility. It is our duty to do so, as we rely the most on environment for everything. Living in harmony with nature is an integral part of our culture. This has been abundantly reflected in our traditions, folklores, rituals and in our daily lives. One of the finest examples of traditional practices in India based on religious faith which has made a profound contribution to nature conservation has been the maintenance of certain patches of land or forests as "sacred groves' dedicated to a deity or a village God, protected, and worshipped.
Many of us know about the conservation of the environment, but the actual question is that we actually do it or not? This is something we need to work on. This is environmental responsibility. We have different types of environmental responsibilities like community or student or individual i.e. that this responsibility can be done by a group of people or students or by an individual. Recently, We have been facing problems on water. There are many cities in India which dump their sewage waste in lakes and which leads to many problems in the future, to overcome this people around the lake must take action against the government demanding for saving the lake. But we don’t do it because it doesn’t affect us. If a group of people take action against this it would have been helpful. It is never

too late to do so. I had done project on conserving a lake in my city it is named as Dalvoy lake, which is situated in the outskirts of Mysore and was the victim of pollution for many years and yet no one noticed it. So me and my friend did an awareness programme to save the lake and that project helped us know about the problems regarding the lake and we were devasted hearing it. We worked for three months on it and it finally got recognition at the ‘National children’s science congress of 2019’. This is one of the examples for saving the environment. Like this if just two friends unite together and try to save to nature. It is just that we have to see the problem, just like us even plants and nature feel pain and be sad. Just by planting a small plant in our homes would make a huge change in our lives, we start to nourish it, we fall in love with it, we start treating them as a family and lastly we sIf we misuse the privileges, it will go wild.
Today the world faces so many problems like earthquakes, cyclones and many other natural calamities just because they misuse with nature. Just to overcome these problems many people have to come together to save nature. Some of them have been successful yet some have not, but this does not mean we have to stop. Conserving nature should be one of main priorities in today’s world, it will help us in future. Lastly, by taking a little responsibility, every one of us can make a major change in this world. Not as an Indian but as human being it is our duty to conserve
nature. We have to responsible and respect the nature. So together let us built a clean, green and a healthy world with innovation.

Environmental Responsibility
“The Earth is all what we all have in common .” -Wendell Berry
The environment we live in provides us many natural services like wood, food, petroleum, coal, minerals, and other innumerable things. Despite this bountiful nature, every being egoistically using natural resources without replenishing them. Every second person is suffering from different diseases, the reason being is depletion of natural habitat and using resources nonchalantly. We must be respectful and grateful to mother nature and took responsibility to limit the unwanted use of natural resources and be more cautious towards the environment. After research I came across three different levels of environment stability: Individual Cooperate social responsibility Government
transport instead of a personal vehicle, planting new plants in your surroundings. Cooperate social responsibility: As the world of business has evolved and grown, a concern the environmental safety has also grown simultaneously but the good news is, many cooperates are working on increasing issues related to the environment, and one of the major step taken was the three R’s (RECYCLE, REUSE, REDUCE). Government : Last but not least is the government, it plays an important part within a particular country. Through various campaigns, the government tries to aware people of the depletion of natural resources. The government also concerns about legislation and law enforcement.
Individual: Environment protection is a personal responsibility for all humans since we all are part of this biosphere. However small action could also make a big difference one must start practicing some healthy activities right away such as switching off unwanted electric appliances, using public

Save Environment Success won’t come to quitter, Teach your children not to litter. Reduce, reuse or recycle, Moving somewhere use your bicycle. Don’t be so lethargy, Turn off light switches to save energy. Avoid using chemicals on farming land, Stop robbing the natural sand. Rich people have some hobby to hunt, Whereas it is an act of violent. How can people be so sarcastic? Use cotton bags instead of plastic. Plant at least one sapling on your birthday, Or in future we’ll celebrate a black day. Keep your surroundings clean, Love green, live green, go green. One of nature’s revenge is covid Whereas the death rates are rapid We people are caged, rather creatures are freed. Environment is not for one but for all, Sustain the resources for future forestall.

SAVE ENVIRONMENT Once planet earth was crying by sitting alone in the solar system. The reason behind this was the people has not cared about the earth, they just need the wealth of earth. One day a little girl was walking on the park when she passed a small plant and noticed various beautiful flowers bloomed in it so she wants to grow plants in her home. She know how to take care of a plant and gardening. She had completed her third standard in hostel, where she was given two plants in the garden. She used to water her plants regularly. The plant was like two friends for her. After completing her third standard in hostel she came back to her hometown and joined a new school. after seeing all this the planet earth stopped crying and come to earth. By using supernatural power it enters into the soul of little girl. The little girl had a love for nature, so the planet earth chose her soul for doing goodness. Now she was promoted to 4th standard. she used to go to school regularly. On 4th June her school principal has decided to give saplings to the students as a remembrance of environment day of that year. Because children’s are the seeds for the future blossom. When the school bell rang she took as many plans as she could and ran home. The girl went to home and told her father everything that had happened and asked him to go to her school and bring her school bag and some more saplings for planting in her home. Her uniform and hands became so dirty with clay soil. She has not bothered about it. she was the lucky charm to her father. So her father wanted her to plant all the saplings. The soul of earth in little girl became so happy for the plans growth. The little girl was delighted for the growth of her friends (trees). she used the vegetables waste and cow dung waste as a natural fertiliser .She does not go for any type of artificial fertilisers or chemicals for the
growth of plants. Days gone. Here comes her college life. She joined in NCC and became a CADET. As a citizen she had a duty to protect her environment. The supernatural power of earth had gave a way for her to do her duty using its power. She got many chances in her NCC journey for doing good to environment like TREE PLANTATION, SWACHHTA AWARENESS, LAKE CLEANING, PARK CLEANING, PLOG RUN AND SWACHHTA PAKHWADA. One of her NCC buddy was a close friend for her. As a result of their various NCC events they both had a plan to plant more saplings as much as they can. They started a drive on tree plantation with a name VIRUKSHAM UDHAYAM. By using their pocket money they bought the saplings and planted it on public places. Later on their friends, family members joined in their plantation drive. With the help of government that is forest officers helped the young activist by providing sapling. After this with their huge hard work and effort they both planted nearly 25,000 saplings within one year. The government has allotted awards for those two girls to encourage them and said that they are the real role model for the society. The government has appreciated the girls for creating awareness among the people to protect the environment. Finally the soul of the earth thanked the girls for making earth beautiful with their saplings. The nature took revenge by creating a CORONAVIRUS. It also created a demand for oxygen to breathe . The girls were worried for that bad situation. Earth replied WHAT WE SOW IS WHAT WE REAP. This virus will die completely when the people starts to think about the importance of trees and environment. At last the soul of earth has happily gone to its place after giving the girls the gift of getting whatever they desire on earth.

PONDER UNDER THE WONDERLAND The land of slushy snow and showery rain Soothes all our wretched pain; It gives hope of reaching the direst ecstasies, By paving the way to admire those fantasies. The vast meadows call to repose, Where there's a tranquility, I suppose! Tulips bloom as smiling at the lawn, Slopes of tea plantation radiate at dawn. Oh! The magnificent brook, fences with trees, The glassy water welcomes with gladness; Seldom find that messy mankind, Instead of procured by nature's kind. India's tropical climate makes people dwell, Fresh leaves shake to make the earth chill; Even small shrubs laugh at roadsides, Gives the best charm when we take rides. A pleasant atmosphere takes to serenity, Which gives hope to spellbound eternity; Rough roads roll over to turnabouts Accelerating to fly over with no whereabouts.

Empower Environment Birds! Why are you flying? Why are you coming to my world? How hard it was for you to cross seven seas and thirteen rivers. I understand that you are crying a lot for the pain in your wings. Is it too cold in your country? Is there any snowstorm? Does the blue sky cry for no reason? For that now are you in my country? But now I have no trees, no forest lands Now I am vacant, a solid city of concrete. My heart is now architectured by hard stone Now the mind does not cry for you Even I don't care about you anymore Do you know why? Now I am a burning heart Corporate's whiplash grasps my body & soul. I can sense the audacity of capitalism And feel completely restless. Sometimes I am shriveling to see the human brutality and wish to diminish everything by my rage.
I want to be a cyclone & twist the creations of this earthly world. People are so weird here Very sophisticatedly they erase all the memories what they web each & everyday Which is no longer remaining on their mind's pages anymore. Clouds are shouting with anger and burning thyself The cold ice is melted Lowlands are flooded Earthquakes & thunderstorms become very common phenomenon My anger creates a pandemic And spreads it like a molecule Even though, people are not learning from it. Seeing all these things The heart of the earth shattered Want to give birth to a new earth. A heart is bound into a new hope One day the world will be aware Maybe the victory will be enjoyed by mankind. But alas! Nothing is really changed Hope becomes a mirage & people become ghosts.

Environmental Protection The surroundings in which life exists on earth are called the environment. The environment contains air, water, sunlight, trees, animals, and human beings. They are the living and non-living creatures of the earth. The trees, human- beings, and animals are living organisms. The sun, water, and air are non-living organisms that are crucial for man’s survival. Every creature is a natural resource for each other. An environment is a nature that nurtures our life on the earth. Everything which we feel, breathe, and eat in our life comes from the environment. Like land, plants, water, air, sunlight, forests, food, rivers, and other natural things come within the environment.
If the forest is destroyed then there will be a shortage of water, the fertility of the land will be reduced and the yield of crops will decrease, the animals will die, the birds will fall. If the earth remains green with tree-plantation, then man has many direct and indirect benefits. Fuel and timber to fruit-flowers, providing medicines, air-conditioning, balance of rainfall, man-made fertilizer, protection of earth's erosion, floods, insects, and shelter to birds protecting the crops are numerous benefits. .Therefore environmental protection is very important benefits.

Environmental Responsibility Environment is a natural world which circles the earth and addresses a particular geographical domain in which human beings, plant, animals and other living and non-living things exits. It is an essential part of our life. It is the main source for us to live in and get food from. We very well know that quality of our life depends on our environment. Let us questions ourselves who spoils the environment? It’s me or you, it’s not me or you but it’s we. We people are ruining it on the highest pitch. All the actions have brought in many environment problems. In these days we are harming and degrading the environment and thus indirectly harming ourselves. Power of technology and science has enabled the man to exploit the environment for selfish and indiscriminate use;
really this is creating problems for everyone. So what can we do to overcome ourselves from these problems? What is the solution? The solution is we have to adapt the manufacturing and domestic product usages. We must use reducible, reusable, regenerative and recyclable techniques. We should promote and contribute to the projects run by the government and various NGOS that focuses on saving the environment. The young must be educated to live in harmony with environment rather than exploit it. Though the problem has aggravated we should find the solution.

IDYM FOUNDATION “I graduated as a mechanical engineer and jumped into the corporate world and gained a lot of experience, but I have always had this dream since my childhood, to be able to study space technology. To realize this dream I thought of a startup idea where I will be engaging a team of experts to educated young minds about the fascinating aspects of space technology. This idea came to me in 2009, but due to some of the other reasons it got delayed and was only set up in August 2020. I gathered a team of like-minded people and we started our journey of bringing space to earth.
were able to host at least one workshop in each state of India and now our count boasts a diverse group of 33 countries. We have been able to impact over 30,000 kids of which 15 students have even built and launched their satellites.150 Students are in process of Making own Satellite under Guidence of IDYM Foundation . We hope to keep growing we have been and be able to impact more enthusiastic and eager to learn kids across the globe. Let us make India the number one in all aspects.”
When I used to talk about space technology, when I was young, people always responded by saying that it is something only great minds and scientists can pursue as a career. This stayed back with me and that is why I started my organization. I am determined to make as many kids aware and educated about space technology as possible. I want the kids to think of it as something is that is achievable and can be thought of as a career prospect as well. Our strategy was to first cover the whole of India before going global and that is what we did. In a short span of three months, we Saturday, 5 June I World Environment Day 2021

Msc. Phd. Foods and Nutrition
Fate of Bulk Buying Fruits and vegetables are essential for human nutrition, delivering a substantial proportion of vitamins, minerals & fibers in our daily diet. With the change in diet habits & rising population, the production, as well as the processing of horticultural crops, has exponentially improved to meet its increasing demand. Unfortunately, half the fruits & vegetables produced worldwide end up as wastes, in each step of the food supply chain, generating environmental issues caused mainly by microbial degradation. Processing of fruits & vegetables alone generates a significant waste, which amounts to 25–30% of the total product. Most common wastes include pomace, peels, rind & seeds, which are highly rich in valuable bioactive compounds such as carotenoids, enzymes, polyphenols, oils, vitamins & many other compounds. Higher diet quality is thus associated with greater consumer food waste representing substantial amounts of wasted nutrients, as well as needless environmental impact from wasted agricultural inputs (freshwater, cropland & fertilisers), energy use & greenhouse gas emissions. Household food waste is gaining an increasing emphasis worldwide. Multiple factors have been identified that contribute to household food waste including a lack of consumer understanding of durability coding & expiration dates on food. The length of
shelf-life influences food waste with a longer shelf-life leading to less waste. Casual consumers represent a new & distinct group characterised by "buy a lot & waste a lot" behaviour. Household size, packaging format, price-awareness & marketing all appear to influence levels of food waste. However, it seems that subtle behavioural & sociocultural factors also have impact. Indian households discard a significant amount of food that represent a sizable portion of their food expenditures. Increasing consumers' knowledge about how to prepare & store fruits and vegetables will be one of the practical solutions to reducing food waste. Food production is a major driver of greenhouse gas emissions, water and land use & dietary risk factors are contributors to non-communicable diseases. Shifts in dietary patterns can therefore potentially provide benefits for both the environment & health. Food waste also represents waste of micronutrients that could otherwise theoretically fill nutritional gaps for millions of people. Reducing the food losses & waste would be an important step towards increased food security& would also increase the efficiency of resource use in food production. PS: To achieve lower diet-related disease burdens & reduced environmental footprints of the food system, greater efficiency of food production & reductions in food waste are likely to be required alongside promotion of healthy diets. Be safe this Monsoon Monsoon has finally arrived at your doorstep . While that may be a relief, what’s not is the fact that along with the rain clouds, the monsoon has also brought its share of woes. Health problems are always on the rise during the rainy season, be it cold and flu, viral fever etc. With the changing weather conditions, you also need to alter your lifestyle. Take foods which have high amount of fiber and protein such as multigrain roti’s, oats, and barley. Add a clove of garlic to soups, sir fries and curries since it helps in increasing immunity as Garlic cures a common cold as it contains a cold-fighting compound known as allicin which has demonstrated antibacterial and antifungal properties. Even though there is high moisture in the air and that you don't get an urge to want to hydrate yourself, you should still drink lots of boiled or filtered water. you can always opt for infusion water wherein you put citrus fruit pieces in water and let it sit as you sip it throughout the day. Foods such as broccoli, carrots, turmeric, and ginger can help strengthen the immune system along with your skin and hair too. Turmeric is jam-packed with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and can help you deal with cough..
Preferred oil in rainy season is rice bran oil or other light oils. Opt for yogurt, curd and almonds in your diet instead of milk, especially during daytime as Probiotics help the gut prepare good bacteria that further help with a healthy digestive system. Hence, it is essential to add them to the diet Eat a lot of fresh fruits like apples, mangoes, pomegranates ,lychees ,cherries and pears as they help in restoring energy and that are rich in vitamin C. But avoid eating cut fruits and salads outside. -Drink herbal tea, especially those with antibacterial properties. For examples ginger, pepper, honey, mint, cinnamon licorice, moringa, lemon tea and basil leaves tea. Ginger provides respite from respiratory problems and strengthens the immunity owing to the anti-inflammatory . Pay special attention before consuming any fruits and vegetables, especially leafy vegetables, because they play host to many larvae, dust and worms. The best option available is to soak them in salt water for about 10 minutes and then rinse them. Yoga and breathing exercises is another way to stay fit while staying indoors. Yoga is also beneficial in building immunity, reducing respiratory problems and ensuring better mental health as well.

What is Coronavirus? Coronavirus mainly spreads between animals, but in the recent past it has infected people as well. This has been seen with SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome). Its structure that is spreading in China is 70 percent similar to SARS and it is initially named 2019-nCoV. T he seventh new coronavirus known to affect humans has been named COVID-19. Human Coronavirus Types Scientists have divided coronaviruses into four sub-groupings, called alpha, beta, gamma, and delta. Seven of these viruses can infect people: A). 229E (alpha) B). NL63 (alpha) C). OC43 (beta) D). HKU1 (beta E). MERS-CoV, a beta virus that causes Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) F). SARS-CoV, a beta virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) G). SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19 Coronavirus i.e. COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic by the World Health
Organization or WHO. This virus had engulfed the whole world last year and till now has killed crores of people. The disease was first seen in China in 2019. After this the infection gradually spread all over the world. Due to this not only people lost their lives, but the economic condition of many people also suffered a lot. In such a situation, due to the second wave of coronavirus, the infection of this virus has increased even more in 2021 and at the same time the symptoms of corona have also changed. To prevent the spread of virus infection, many rules have been implemented in all the countries in view of which lockdown was imposed and crowding was not allowed. Apart from this, people were taught the importance of cleanliness and social distance and encouraged to strengthen immunity. Symptoms of corona virus According to last year, common symptoms of corona virus include symptoms like fever, cough, weakness, breathing problem, loss of smell and taste. Apart from this, stomach infections were also seen in many people. However, during the coronavirus second wave, a lot of changes were seen in these symptoms and along with the

Diabetes and Covid 19 Is having diabetes at a higher risk of getting covid-19? The coronavirus may thrive in an environment of elevated blood glucose. People with certain underlying medical conditions may have a higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19. These conditions include diabetes, heart problems, obesity, and chronic kidney disease. Why is coronavirus worse for diabetics? One reason is that high blood sugar weakens the immune system and makes it less able to fight off infections. Your risk of severe coronavirus infection is even higher if you also have another condition, like heart or lung disease. Older people and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as diabetes, heart disease and asthma) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the COVID-19 virus. When people with diabetes develop a viral infection, it can be harder to treat due to fluctuations in blood glucose levels and, possibly, the presence of diabetes complications. There appear to be two reasons for this. Firstly, the immune system is compromised, making it harder to fight the virus and likely leading to a longer recovery period. Secondly, the virus may thrive in an environment of elevated blood glucose. What should people with diabetes know and do? For people living with diabetes it is important to take precautions to avoid the
virus if possible. The recommendations that are being widely issued to the general public are doubly important for people living with diabetes and anyone in close contact with people living with diabetes. Wash hands thoroughly and regularly. Try to avoid touching your face before you have washed and dried your hands. Clean and disinfect any objects and surfaces that are touched frequently. Don’t share food, glasses, towels, tools etc. When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the crook of your arm if you don’t have a tissue to hand (dispose of the tissue appropriately after use). Try to avoid contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing. Think whether you can make changes that will help protect yourself or loved ones. For example, can you avoid unnecessary business travel? Can you avoid large gatherings? Can you avoid public transport? If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, stay at home. Healthy nutrition and home-based exercise Home exercise 540pxHealthy nutrition is an essential component of diabetes management. It is therefore important for people with diabetes to eat a varied and balanced diet to keep their blood glucose levels stable and enhance their immune system. It is recommended to: Give priority to foods with a low glycaemic index (e.g. vegetables, whole wheat pasta/noodles) Avoid excessive consumption of fried foods Limit consumption of foods high in sugar, carbohydrates and fat Choose lean proteins (eg. fish, meat, eggs, milk, beans after fully cooked). Eat green, leafy vegetables Eat fruits in two or three servings In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, governments in many countries have restricted the movement of their citizens, confining them to the home environment. Regular physical activity is of great benefit to the general population and even more for people living with diabetes. View a series of daily exercises that can be performed at home.. The coronavirus story is not about one person or two on opposite ends of the social spectrum. Many thousands of others, who necessarily have to physically interact with people outside, maintain strict distancing norms at home to ensure their families don’t get infected, even if they happen to. It is tough, but what’s the alternative? Some of the below examples of worriers too. But things have changed since the lockdown. Getting ready now takes more time as we need to ensure to wear the mask and the gloves given to everyone properly. Everything has to be washed and sanitised, before and after.
A police constable who works in an area declared a hotspot ensures the area remains completely sealed. He wears masks and gloves and is careful while interacting with people living inside the colony.
I am particularly scared for my parents. But as some one saying prayers always answer so we chanted a lot with in alliance form for all those people who were suffering from CORONA. Leading by example and inspiring thousands in their path, a few good Indian Samaritans are winning hearts with their efforts. Rising above the pandemic constraints and helping others in need, today the real-life Covid Warriors are playing a pivotal role. Put your hands together and open your hearts to the recipients of the Covid Warriors. However, due to the lockdown we could not teach students anymore as schools shut down. I realised many of them come from families of daily wage workers and had no income. Hence, I raised money for their essential services, like food, water, and medicines.

1) Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
PRAYERS ALWAYS OUR LIFE
2) The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased all that Job had twofold (Job 42:10).
CHANGE
Prayer is important because it’s a form of service. Defined as the action of helping or doing work for someone, a system supplying a public need, or to perform routine maintenance or repair work on. That’s exactly why we pray for everyone. We are interceding for others. It’s how we help someone else. Prayer can repair an emotional wound. At its core, prayer is a system that can meet the public’s need. And it’s the prescribed method for maintaining our spiritual well-being.
“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you Prayer is important because it’s an act of obedience. We are called to pray. God designed us for it. It’s built into our very existence. Because we are created in His image, God’ image.. Nothing could be more than this work than chanting for others.

Wood script of the Lost Civilization Many, many years ago, I watched the creation of the world. It was later called the Big Bang and followed by the Big Flash. This is when I was born. Everything was calm around me. I was spiritually united with nature and I breathed with the lungs of the forest. Everything was fine until one of the higher angels mocked the God’s creative work, trying to exalt himself. We called him Evilcifer. The great battle between good and evil began. Angels on the side of the Creator threw Evilcifer and his followers into the abyss. After a while we forgot about Evilcifer. Soon the Creator created human beings resembling me. However, I didn’t have legs and my arms were like branches, but, contrary to them, my spirituality was extremely developed. I knew the language of flora and fauna. I was not alone. We all rejoiced in the beauty and freedom, shouting to the Creator. At first there was no darkness. The air was clean, full of oxygen. I could throw lightnings out of my hands. I also knew how to make a rainbow whose nuances depended on my inspiration, as well as the beauty of the sky. Animals enjoyed my company. I communi
cated with people using a primordial, universal language. This language was the origin of world languages when the Tower of Babel was built. As I expanded my vocabulary, I began recording Assyrian fables and fairy tales in the Green Book whereas I recorded my thoughts and ideas on papyruses and parchments. I wrote down some stories using starlight. Surrounded by beauty and harmony, I grew spiritually by exploring my essence. However, darkness was increasingly creeping into our world. We began to feel its consequences later. That darkness was created by Evilcifer. Many were misled by him, and those who were misled misled others. A part of my soul was separated from me and disappeared somewhere. I have still been searching for it without any success. I got legs instead. They are much like those that the humans have. Besides, I became very similar to them in many other ways. Eager to explore the planet, I traveled through its desolate regions in the hope that I could enrich and ennoble them. Evilcifer noticed this, as well as my intention to protect the human race, so he tried to lead me astray and spite me. There was no end to his atrocities mani

festing themselves every day. The hurricane-force winds seemed to be blowing from hell itself. Eruptive volcanoes spewed the lava of the Wicked's hatred, glaciers melted, and the sea level constantly rose. All those evils distracted me from writing about beauty in my Green Book. The civilization that raised ancient pyramids was replaced by a modern one to be replaced by even more modern, but poor in flora and fauna. As the human race evolved, Evilcifer devised new malices. Thus he turned his demons into terrorists, racists, abusers, rapists and other similar villains described in the Black Book from the underworld. I had a strange dream in which beauty was split into water and fire. They tried to swallow each other with no success. Suddenly, a new world far away in the universe appeared. I don’t know what happened next, or I might have forgotten. According to God's plan, I was transferred to another planet
so that my experience could help the development of a new civilization. I dreamed of traveling to the distant past, to the time of the creation of the world when everything was beautiful and pleasant. In that dream, an Indian chief approached me with my Green Book in his hand. He expressed his gratitude because thank to that book the world had experienced revival. He taught people that the land was not inherited from our ancestors but borrowed from our heirs. Apart from the mysterious woodscript, there were a few twigs in the Green Book that were not caught by the great fire. If the wind blows them far away, new worlds may sprout up. Until then, you, who are reading this woodscript, protect and take care of nature, the most precious treasure.

Kavya Muralidaran Striking a Balancing Between Modernity and Tradition During the pandemic artists have had to adjust to creating in a new space and a new way. Pieces presented online must be curated with a different mindset. Yet, dance is still an art that must engage the viewer and reach them on an emotional level. The unpredictability of performances and of the pandemic have inevitably led artists to expand their knowledge base and tap into every skill they had to connect with audiences. With more performances online, a transformation on so many levels has occurred especially with regards to adhering to tradition. To connect to an expanded global audience, artists have often had to modernize. But how much and what elements should be changed? This challenge is especially evident for an art form like bharatanatyam that is so heavily rooted in tradition. Thus, the question remains - how does one adapt such a structured art form to this new world? Moreover, how does a dancer not lose one’s unique voice and secure one’s presence in a growing cacophony of artists that exists online? In order to explore these new dimensions in dance and attempt to answer these questions, I caught up with award-winning internationally acclaimed dancer, Kavya Muralidaran. This young
bharatanatyam dancer, teacher, and choreographer is perfectly situated to address these changing times as she strikes a balance between tradition and modernity daily. She has also been exposed to an international audience as a lead in dance productions. Kavya is the daughter and disciple of Gurus Madurai R. Muralidaran and Smt. Chithra Muralidaran of Nrityakshetra Dance Academy (NDA) in Chennai and will be carrying on their traditions and legacy with NDA. However, as a creative force in her own right, she is constantly pushing the boundaries of bharatanatyam in her explorations as a unique artist. Success can only come if one is driven, focused, willing to work hard, adapt to change, push boundaries, and isn’t afraid to challenge oneself. These are the exact traits that have propelled Kavya into the limelight as a torchbearer for the modern era of bharatanatyam. Kavya truly flourished and came into full form during the pandemic as she was able to utilize every skill she had ever gained. She received a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication (MOP Vaishnav College for Women) and master’s degree in Bharatanatyam (University of Madras). Kavya said she made a conscious choice to pursue one degree unrelated to dance, but

could enhance the knowledge she had as a dancer. This background helped her secure her online presence by giving her a complete understanding of visual mediums and she didn’t have to rely on others to aid her. Moreover, Kavya shared that she has been teaching internationally online for many years, so it wasn’t hard to adapt. While her parents believe one should learn in the traditional manner in person, Kavya finds positives online. As more students turned to online, Kavya reflected that the pandemic gave greater access to spread bharatanatyam. Personally, she did so through workshops, free sessions for those who couldn’t afford fees during this time, and beyond. When discussing the dichotomy between tradition and modernity, Kavya stressed “tradition is necessary” when teaching. She elaborated, “Natyam (dance) has been there for thousands of years, so we shouldn’t forget its aesthetic and traditional rules.” The “respect for one’s Guru” and the teachings should be there. At NDA - the legacy she will carry forward - Kavya said, she “will not compromise on tradition or the art as it has been passed down”. However, to connect with today’s audience, Kavya said she may adapt certain themes to a modern sensibility. For example, within a margam, thematically she may focus on concepts that are contemporary, but the structure of each dance will remain rooted in tradition. Currently, Kavya is teaching her second full margam since the pandemic to students in India and abroad. Keeping content fresh is something Kavya has worked hard to do. Over the last year and a half, Kavya has leveraged social media to grow her reach by letting the channels grow organically with creative releases. She said “quality content matters, not number of hits.” So, she always produces complete pieces. Kavya’s social media presence skyrocketed after she released Hypersonic Jathi, a piece that showcased fast rhythms choreographed in
a traditional manner. The dance showcased Kavya’s ability to retain clarity in movement even at high speeds. Kavya also conducted “jathi jamming” workshops where she taught various jathis to students worldwide. Soon, however, Kavya began to explore beyond tradition with other works. With regards to these pieces, she explained modernizing is needed for non-dancers to relate - “Dance is ritual. The audience must understand natyam. However, we should use subjects that are relevant and engaging.” To handle tradition and modernity one must “continue to learn” and push oneself. This is necessary to stay relevant. During Navratri, Kavya released a new video on a daily basis for the full 9 days to depict each Goddess’ story through different ragas and choreographies. She researched each goddess and raga heavily along with her collaborator, Sai Vignesh, who provided vocals for each track. A gifted choreographer, Kavya founded her own dance ensemble, VivRtti Dance Company, as an avenue to continue learning where she enjoys exploring contemporary abstractions in bharatanatyam. One way she handled modernization was to do collaborations with those trained in other styles. Kavya reinvisioned many pieces, and even reworked and modernized some of her father’s traditional compositions. She shared that VivRtti exposes her to styles beyond bharatanatyam, and she researches those styles fully to successfully modernize movements for any choreographies. While such projects give her freedom beyond tradition, Kavya mentioned her first original production - Akhanda Margam - that she produced, choreographed, and danced alongside girls she trained was more traditional. The relatability of contemporary pieces and the need to modernize to engage a wide audience is best showcased with Kavya’s most successful venture - Gandiva - which is Chennai’s first Indo-Classical fusion project. This group was co-founded by Kavya Muralidaran, singer Sai ...

will showcase a more modern approach to music and dance and will connect with the global audience. The tension between tradition and modernity will always be there. However, as Kavya’s journey has shown, there is a way to correctly incorporate both mindsets with one’s repertoire to enhance pieces. So, while tradition can provide the underlying structure to a piece, thinking outside the box can help creative pieces develop to connect to a larger non-traditional global audience. Kavya explained that with an international audience, “perception changes with regards to the composition people are doing. So, to spread the arts, we need to reach out to a wide range of audiences. We should modernize some elements [like she does with Gandiva] to try and connect with non-dancers too.” Thus, it seems to successfully spread the arts, one must propagate tradition through adherence to basic rules structurally, but artists must have flexibility to contemporize dance forms like bharatanatyam as a means to connect to an international audience that they now have easier access to during the pandemic. There is no doubt that our culture will remain for centuries to come.

Vignesh, and the late music producer Navin Shankar. Kavya shared that she always wanted to have her own band and to leave a unique mark in history. She also knew that to connect beyond the typical lover of dance, one has to modernize in some way. The goal of Gandiva has been to take traditional pieces, and reinvent them in a way that connects with an international audience. Gandiva’s name itself reflects the team’s goal to spread the arts and provide light to the world in this otherwise tough time. Named after Arjun’s bow, Gandiva, where one arrow could replicate into multiple arrows, the goal is to have each video cascade further and inspire individuals for generations to come. However, with Gandiva, Kavya reinforced that her mindset has been that she, “won’t club traditional bharatanatyam with fusion or semi-classical.” Kavya said she consciously wanted to “stick to her roots.” So, while “music will be more modern, the dance elements will be traditional”. To date there have been four pieces released - all produced by the Gandiva team - (1) Shiva Tandav, (2) Gananayakaya, (3) Azhagana Pazhani Malai and (4) Amruthavarshini Thillana. Each of these popular numbers has been remade to strike a balance between tradition and modernity. For example, Gandiva’s first release, Shiva Tandav, took a traditional shloka written by Ravan in praise of Shiva as its base. Then, it was modernized musically and a more modern costume was used. However, Kavya still choreographed using traditional bharatanatyam. The successful confluence of modernity and tradition, and the accessibility of this approach to relate with non-Indian audiences, is proven with Shiva Tandav as in just five months it has crossed 500,000 organic views. Keeping a project relevant in the pandemic situation was difficult due to unusual challenges that had to be overcome including lockdown. However, the team stayed vigilant, and over the coming months will release completely original tracks! These tracks, Kavya shared,

Save trees to get saved by them Environmental Responsibility is a common term comprising of protective actions needed to conserve Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and Biosphere. Beginning from Industrial revolution, human interaction with nature had been on the increase with manifold damage to the environment. One such detrimental human interference is the unabated felling of trees. Besides climate change, the loss of trees and other vegetation can cause increased accumulation of greenhouse gases, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding and a host of problems for indigenous people. In view of the above, planting of trees has gained paramount importance today and the impetus has to stem from individual citizen level, more than government authorities. Among the many who lead the afforestation activities in India, some pioneers have contributed extraordinarily in spite of various physical and social limitations. It is worth recollecting their achievements. IN the year 2017, Isha Blokhra a 7-year-old girl travelled all the way to New Delhi area from New Jersey with her family, with a mission of planting 750 trees– the number being a total of the years each member of their family had spent living on Earth.
Jadav ‘Molai’ Payeng, from Assam known as ‘the forest man of India’ noticed a large number of snakes dying due to a lack of tree cover. He set out on a mission and today, a thriving dense forest, stands spread over 1,360 acres. It is home to several varieties of animals, birds and snakes. Shyam Sundar Jyani, of Bikaner an associate professor and his students have managed to create a mass movement in western Rajasthan by planting seven lakhs saplings in over 2,500 villages in the arid, drought-prone regions of the state. In 2003, Moirangthem Loiya Ngamba and friends of Manipur chose an unkempt, rock-strewn patch of land Punshilok and began a major afforestation drive. Today, Punshilok is a thriving forest that is home to several species of wild and birds. Kapil Sharma, a software engineer in Bengaluru become the green crusader and started planting trees on weekends in 2007. His mission gave birth to ‘Say Trees’ movement achieving lakhs of saplings planted across cities. Kerala police inspector V Vidyadharan loves trees so much that he carries saplings and shovels in his official vehicle and despite being laughed at, this man never stopped. He set a trend on his daughter’s wedding by treating the guests with saplings as return gifts!

Yoganathan, A bus conductor, Tamil Nadu, was ignited to work towards the conservation of environment. He single-handedly planted over 1 lakh trees across 32 districts in the state in the last 28 years. An auto rickshaw driver from Thane, Purushottam Das Gupta, perturbed by merciless cutting down of road side trees, took upon himself to plant trees and care for them. He has also created a WhatsApp group for likeminded tree lovers. Radhika Anand, who is an environmentalist, joined hands with the Indian Army for planting fruit-bearing trees. Radhika runs a self-funded organisation called Plantology that takes green initiatives across the country. Tamil actor Vivek in spite of busy acting career was drawn to the wishes of his friend and former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and started a crusade for planting 1 cror trees. He would have done much more environmental conservation work, but for his untimely death in April 2021 An energetic young man, Arun Karthik from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu who is a national shooter, innovative architect, adventurer, traveler all combined one, has recently turned his attention to tree plantation and has completed planting of 5,000 palm trees. He and his team have rendered yeoman service during the present pandemic time by providing food to the poor. Vanjeevi Daripelli Ramaiah a nonagenarian forest dweller from Reddipalli village of Telangana planted more than a million plants to make the earth green, believing in the principle of protection. The relentless green dreamer is the recipient of Padma Shri award (2017). Padma Shri award (2019) recipient Saalumarada Thimmakka, the 106-Yr-Old Environmentalist has planted 8000 Trees in 80 Yrs. Silviculturist, environmentalist, 'mother of trees' are all titles she's received so far. Tulasi Gowda of Uttara Kannada dis-
trict is known as the 'Encyclopedia of forest' for her vast knowledge of plants and herbs. The sexagenarian environmentalist was awarded Padma Shri (2020) Environmentalist Sundaram Verma from Rajasthan has been conferred with Padma Shri award (2020) for successfully growing 50,000 trees with a technique, the "dry land agro forestry" that requires only one litre of water per tree in the arid Shekawati region of Rajasthan. 105 yrs old Pappammal is an organic farmer from Tamil Nadu, India. She is regarded as a pioneer in the agriculture field. The Government of India honoured her in 2021, with Padma Shri’ award for her role in organic farming. Likewise many more have shown the way. Our duty now is to carry on their legacy and preserve the environment for the generations to come. If we protect trees today, trees will protect us in future.

Environment "Conservation is a state of harmony between men and land" great words by Aldo Leopold. Environment means surroundings, Each individual take care of his surroundings then we have excellent environmental system to survive. We are running after sophistication, spending more money to lead a luxurious life spoiling the natural environment.Excellent plantations around our house is the most important thing now we can grow plants even in terrace and balcony. Green always protect us and purify the air. rain water harvesting is so good to keep our well's water level always constant.Solar energy panels reduce our electricity intake and expenditure. As an individual if we concentrate and keep our surroundings well maintained and pollution free that will help the nation to build a strong environmental platform.Garbages should be properly disposed accordingly and recycled properly. In my opinion every individual take care of his own surroundings then the world's enviroemtal pollution will decrease sufficiently. Ecosystem should be maintained properly.Extinctions of animals create environmental problem. We have to protect by finding the reason behind the problem. Now our home bird sparrow, becoming a rare species somewhere they hide not found commonly in our roof as three decades before.
As Roger Tory Peterson said,"Birds are indicators of the environment If they are in trouble we know we will be in trouble". Birds , animals and plants build our environment Be friendly with them.Give your care and affection to them. They will giveback all they can. Let us keep our environment so comfortable than enjoying the inside comforts.Do live atleast four hours without AC.Enjoy the warmth of the sun and the pleasant breeze.Avoid packed foods eat freshly cooked foods.Dont keep any food items inside the refrigerator unless otherwise it requires storage like milk etc. Welcome birds and butterflies to your garden.Grow kitchen garden of your own. Green world gives growth and prosperity. A few environmental friendly slogans I wish to share with you. Green sight Makes bright. Plant a tree Plan your retirement. With Cotton bags Carry things. Concept of TIME in Hindu Metaphysics and Modern Physics Part I
Dr M R Iyer Ex BARC and IAEA Units of time visualized in the ancient treatises of Hindu philosophical thought encompass a stupendous 30 decades right from a fraction of a microsecond to trillions of years, 10-8 to 10 22 seconds. The Puranas describe time units from the infinitesimal Truti, lasting less than 1/ 3,000,0000th of a second to a Mahamanvantara of 311 trillion years. What was the need for our ancestors to visualize these time units and even name these? Without a clear concept for these nobody would so meticulously give a definition to these. The macro units of time are visualized through the movement of heavenly bodies seen through the inner mind, but it is still more surprising where was the need for visualizing the sub multiples of a Second which encompasses in today’s scientific parlance the atomic and nuclear times. We must appreciate that concept of zero invented by ancient Indians is the basis for building these time scales. Without the concept of Zero these wide range of time units would not have been possible. We must keep in mind the ancient Roman and the Western civilizations never had the concept of zero. Nobody could have even
conceived the infinitesimal time and infinity of time using the Roman numeral system. The Arabs through their trade connections got inkling of the Hindu concept of Zero and carried it to the West. And quite paradoxically the number system came to be known as Arab numerals and that was quite unfair to the higher intelligent culture of the Hindus of the past. The 30 decades of time in the Vedas with the nomenclature are shown in the chart in a logarithmic scale. A day which was called Ahorathram (sidereal as distinct from lunar) was divided into 60 Ghati (Nazhika) and again into 60 Vighati (Vinazhika). The now familiar subdivision of a day into hour, minutes and seconds were not used in those days. Even now astrological calculations use Nazhika and Vinazhika and are very well known to everyone today who refers to a Panchangam. Further submultiples in terms of 60 divisions were Lepta, Leekshaka, Lava, Renu and Truti in that order. On the higher side the multiples of day were Paksha (2 phases of the moon), Masa, Rithu (seasons), Ayana (the 2 equinoxes-Dakhinayanam and Utharayanam), Year, Cycle of 60 years

(only calendar with cyclic years specified names), the Yugas (Satya, Dwapara, Thretha, Kali), Manvathara (71 Maha Yugassum of 4 Yugas), Kalpa (Brahma's day time – 1000 Mahayugas), year of Brahma and Mahamanvanthara (life of one Brahma). Some of these are chanted every day in reciting the “sankalpam”, the preamble to any invocation. Sankalpam very clearly defines the geographical and time location (starting from Kalpa) of the person on that day. We can conclude that they envisaged Time beyond the movement of sun and the moon and worked with concepts of the whole Universe. Often it has been said that how the "primitive" Indians would have thought deeply about the planetary motions without the aid of any scientific gadgets. The answer is many modern discoveries such as Quantum Mechanics have also been the result of intuitive thinking by scientists and it is the same way. Such intuitive thinking is also exemplified in more recent times by the predictions of Annie Besant in the subject now known as Occult Chemistry. Annie Besant and her co-workers in England had conceived by only meditation the structure of quarks and illustrated in several papers published toward the end of the 19th century. The concepts closely resemble the structure of quarks, the fundamental constituent of matter, now known to modern science. Hinduism, according to Carl Sagan, "is the only religion in which the time scales correspond to those of modern scientific cosmology are conceived”. Its cycles run from our ordinary day and night to a day and night of the Brahma, 8.64 billion years long, longer than the age of the Earth or the Sun and about half the estimated time since the Big Bang in modern science. The Big Bang theory envisages that the universe, started out of nothing in an incomprehensible short time of 10-43 sec from a point. Prior to that nothing existed - no space, time, matter or energy. There is no better description of this "singularity", as it is called today, more eloquent than that con tained in the Rig Veda X-129 (see Part II of
the article). It continues to expand and cool to this day and we are inside of it: incredible creatures living on a unique planet, circling a beautiful star clustered together with several hundred billion other stars in a galaxy soaring through the cosmos, all of which are inside an expanding Universe that began as an infinitesimal singularity which appeared out of nowhere for reasons unknown. It is worth noting that this Big Bang theory sounds synonymous with the Rig Vedic description of beginning of the Universe. So modern science do the same thing as the ancients did by "meditation" in which they try to connect some observations through models which is again the result of intuitive approach to a possible distant past. The medium of "modelling" or hypothesis in modern science are also conjectures only when we are perforce to deduce the effects observed by our five senses to the realm of unknown using mathematical jugglery! This is so whether it is the model of the atom, nuclear forces, or the black holes or the universe. So the methodologies are almost same. It was George Sudarshan who almost reached the ambit of Nobel Prize once drew analogy of modern science and religion - both involve full faith. Nobody has ever seen the inside of the atom as spheres of electrons moving around the nucleus! And we believe it. We are told that in reality the electrons are not exactly spheres but waves represented by probability functions! Cognitive science and intuition today are not treated as contradictory but complementary. When one delves into the unknown it is the intuition that helps a scientist to construe a picture from the realm of cognitive science. Without intuition one might take the wrong path for interpretation! If as some think the universe that goes on expanding after the Big Bang could collapse and then we are back to the point where we started and that perhaps would be the mythical Brahma's second day! Modern astronomy also thus tends to hypothesise Universe of a cyclic nature. This cyclic nature was conceived many centuries ago in Hindu philosophy.

COURAGE Knowledge, Strength, Power Wealth status excellence many different words, many different meanings but they do share one important thing and that’s that they are all outcomes. They are not obtainable by themselves just like shadows can’t be made without light. Just as plant can’t grow by themselves they require seeds to germinate. Same as each and every thing needs something to grow , a root or a foundation. If excellence were the tallest building in your city then the ground floor is the foundation, what you will see is courage. Because courage is thing that gives you a platform to build on. Every starting block is comprised of unknown. Every little thing, every journey, every time you start something new you’re by definite a neophyte. You are at the bottom of something and nobody is believing you. And I wan’t you to never be fearful of these situation, but to be thankful for them. They’re the roots that allow the tree to grow.
And the only thing required for you to move forward is having the courage to say yes. Life is opportunity. The world around you is opportunity. Some people close their eyes and ignore, while others choose to see it. Courage is never closing your eyes. Everything around you is courage. That building you are walking by someone had the courage to start the construction company. The music you’re listening to, someone had the courage to put their art out into the world to embrace. They didn’t stop and now their creativity is heard by you and into your life. Courage is understanding that simple and easy are very different words. It is incredibly simple to work harder than the person next to you. It is simple to make sacrifices and to move out of your comfort zone. You don’t need to understand theories to be able to do those things but they are insanely difficult. At first they will kill you inside You’ll be nervous , scared and self- conscious. once ate away at you will become the fire that reshapes your life. Allow yourself to stumble through the beginning. Let yourself fail. That guy running a five minute mile at one point he ran it in eight. That woman with a billion dollar at one point was worth a million , 100 k or maybe she was broke. It takes no courage to run the same speed your whole life. It takes no courage to stay stagnant. Courage is saying to yourself I am worth more than I have now. I am faster than that stopwatch is showing. I am better than this grades reflects. Courage is when your actions take on a life of their own. When they embody that winning mentality. Courage is smiling and moving forward .
It’s when the first setback comes, and the second than the third and you go straight through it, you adapt ,you never lose sight of what you want. Courage is believing so strongly in yourself that you welcome discomfort today just to turn it into an advantage for tomorrow. Courage, isn’t in reading this or just by dreaming about something without taking any action. No, it is thinking about what you want more than anything else and driving towards it. One courageous step at a time. That is courage. So, be courageous And conquer the world!! Thanks for reading :)

Smiling Smiling is infectious You catch it like the flu Today someone Smiled at me I started Smiling too I walked around the corner And someone saw my grin And then he smiled too So I realized that I passed it on to them I thought about it And then realised its worth A single smile like mine Could travel round the globe So if you feel like smiling Don’t leave it undetected Start an epidemic And get the world infected. Progress Must but Environment First Life is all around us. It thrives altogether four corners of our planet, be it in the depths of ocean, or inside the rocks or under the surface of ice. Indeed, we are going through unprecedented times. Earth is in peril and so are we. It’s the effect of our mindless activities that has raised environmental issues. Deforestation, loss of biodiversity, environmental degradation, resource depletion, global warming is no more just words in a dictionary. Destructive rains, flooding, droughts are now common. Climate change is for real and we are facing its impact. Everything is in a mess, when we talk about water or trees they are less and when it comes to land we need more. If we talk about petrol the prices are touching the sky and if all this goes on we will have to say bye-bye to automobiles very soon. Pollution is the next big uncountable environmental threat – contaminated water and air pollution being the gravest of all. Too many vehicles belching toxic fuels, harmful pesticides being used in agriculture, uncontrolled dust from wood fires is effecting our health making us liable to death and disease. As living beings, we are also a part of the environment and with our ability to think, understand and act, we become a robust tool in shaping the destiny of the environment.
Our actions have upset the ecological balance which has contributed a countless deal to the changing patterns in the environment. Preserving the environment is not an alternative, it is an indispensability and an ethical responsibility. Mahatma Gandhi had said in one of his best known quotes: “The world has enough for everyone’s needs but not everyone’s greed.” It’s easy to be wasteful and thoughtless, but if we wish to see a healthy future generation we will have to do a lot of preparation. Natural resources to humans are a god’s gift and today it is time to protect them and for that we will have to make a routine shift. It is said the activist isn’t the person who says the river is dirty. The activist is the person who cleans up the river. Each one of us has to take the onus. Let the activist in each of us now rise to the occasion. Let us pledge to spread a special message of a worldwide environmental citizenship and fix responsibilities. Let us begin by taking small impactful steps to make our earth green, pristine and an improved place for ourselves and for generations to come. Act fast! We are running out of time.

Akkamalai Lawn:
The wonder of Valparai is the Akkamalai meadow. Spread out to blinding distance. These meadows are the vessels that store rainwater. It is the cycle of nature that the water that flows from the grasslands forms small streams and joins together to enrich the country. Permission must be obtained from the Forest Department to roam the Akkamalai grassland where deadly animals roam. Koolangal River that attracts cuties: This is a shallow river that creeps like a bustling child in the small estate area adjacent to the town of Valparai. You can swim and bathe with the children in it. Reluctant to leave the water. Chennai herds roam the tea estates along the river. You can see and enjoy it from a distance.
Nallamudi trip: Nallamudi Estate is located at a distance of 25 km from Valparai. This area is the visual tip. If you look from the top, you can see the settlements of the hill people of Kerala and the elephant herds roaming in the distance. You can also buy good air.
Punnagai Mannan Falls: Athirappilly Falls is a 2 hour drive from Valparai to Chalakudy. The name is derived from the fact that the main scenes of the film Punnagai Mannan starring Kamal Haasan were shot in this area. There is no doubt that this magnificent waterfall like Little Niagara will attract on lookers.
Dams: Areas around Valparai include the iconic Kallar, Upper, Kadamparai, Azhiyar and Sholayar dams. All of these are located around Valparai and on the way there.

Pollution A Solution For every problem there is a solution. It is high time to think about our environment. When we are all talking about ozone layer depletion, greenhouse effect, rise of sea level, acid rain, extinction of animals, birds, insects, natural disasters like earthquake, Tsunami, flood, volcano tempest and all, there is something behind it. If we analyze all in a different angle. We will come to know the fact that, it teaches us a great lesson to all. Still mankind is so selfish and greedy, thinking only of his own luxury, sophistication and comforts. From the birth to the death, he enjoys all comfort from the nature and not caring about animals, environment and nature. Man hunting animals for food and sport, shooting birds, fishing, killing reptiles for many reasons. Taking eggs, leathers, Ivory, wool, meat and what not? Felling trees for timber. Polluting all the five elements like land, air, water, space. Piling garbage on land and water, Creating noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution. Everything is polluted by the chemicals. Plastics are piled on soil, air is polluted by smoke from Industries, factories and vehicles. Knowing not that the only living planet is mother earth in the entire solar system, we pollute it heartlessly. Nothing is too late than never. Now also we can find a solution for all the problems. For every problem there is a solution.
For every lock there is a key. If we all humans join hands, we can surely find a solution and surely win back our mother earth. This is the high time to think and act upon this. First and foremost, thing is before cutting one tree, think hundred times whether we should cut trees, if we cut one tree, then we must not fail to plant at least ten trees. Let us take it as a challenge and mission to do it. Next let's talk about 5 Re’s. Reuse, Recycle, Renew, Reduce, Restore. Most of the things could be reused. There is no law or harm that one thing should not be reused. There is no poor or low dignity to reuse anything. Most of the recyclable things could be recycled like plastics, paper. When we reuse and reduce the usage of things, that itself is a great movement. Obviously, we can restore our original Earth, when we come to talk about plastics, we should take maximum care to avoid it. Unless and until it is needed, we should not use it. instead of plastics we can go for other things like paper bag, cloth bag. We can celebrate our birthday, wedding day, Annual day and other important days by planting saplings and trees, we can gift saplings on auspicious days and functions. if we want to hear the sound of birds, we need not cage birds in the cages, instead, plant trees surely birds will perch on the window sill. Fish in the marine weeps because of the industrial waste which are

emitted. Animals are feeling insecure. Let us keep a full stop for all these things. Ather important thing is whether it is possible or not, I am not sure but if we do, definitely the nation will flourish. Let us join all the rivers and divert the good water to irrigation fields, instead of sending the good water to the sea, we can use for irrigation purpose. Everyone knows that our Earth is the only living and blue planet with life. So, we must take utmost care to take care of our precious planet. Let us make the maximum usage of renewable resources like sun light, water, air. Let us not spoil the ecological balance. If we talk about water content, the drinking water content is only 3% remaining 97% percentage of water is only saline water. So why to waste the rain water, let us harvest rain water. Why to send good water to the sea? Same thing goes with oxygen. Trees are the only thing which generate oxygen. They inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. It is our foremost duty to save trees. Let us educate younger generation regarding this point. it is the need of the hour to save our Earth. if we don't do this now, we can never do it again. Surely our future generation will be the sufferer.
We will win back our earth Mother earth weeps seeing the garbage in heaps Sure to win back our Earth Ready to fight till the last breath By stopping industrialization and deforestation Accepting afforestation and giving good education Joining all the rivers Removing the farmers fears Planting plenty of trees Enjoying the cool breeze Full stop for all sorts of pollution That is the only one solution Following 5 Re's Reuse Recycle Renew and reducing Plastics, chemicals, vehicle, drugs reducing We shall win back our earth we shall win back our earth if not we, then who? if not now, then when? if not here, then where? if not for this, then for what? Sambhav Dapakra Multiple World Record Holder I Madhya Pradesh
Nothing is impossible for "Shambhav" Today we are going to meet such a small talent, who made impossible work possible at the age of just 8 years, a small possible person living in Suwasra town of Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, who made conch shell at a very young age. Made a world record by playing, which is an impossible task at a young age. 1- Tell me about yourself and share your experience about how you achieved this success? ~My name is Sambhav Dapkara, I live in Suwasra Nagar of Mandsaur district, my mother's name is Mamta ji Dapkara and father's name is Vivek ji Dapkara, I achieved this success with the support of my father, in this success, he did it at every turn. Supported and after every failure there is definitely a success and we have achieved that success.
sounds, then Grandfather taught that it rings like this, after that my conch is like this It became like an attachment that I used to try to play it day and night, sometimes on the roof of the house and sometimes on the stairs, all the people of the house used to bother me that what conch shell you keep blowing throughout the day but one day my father Seeing this attachment of mine, inspired me to make a world record and then my father kept trying to play conch shell every day, he started making videos of playing my conch shell, sometimes it used to ring for 5 seconds and sometimes 8 seconds but it was not enough, we were world record. I had to send a video of playing the conch for at least 20 seconds to make it, for 6 months my father and I tried every day and one day our attempt to play the conch shell for 26 seconds was successful.
2 - From where did you get the inspiration to make this world record possible and how did you make your world record ?
3- How many world records have your name been recorded in the book and what kind of records have you made in the coming time?
~ I was more attached to conch shell since childhood, when I was 7 years old, I told Grandfather about the conch kept in the temple of the house and asked how it

onds earlier, I broke it and made it to play for 3 minutes 32 seconds The second record is of my one rupee coins, in which I had made a record in the last lock down by making a tower of 33 coins on top of the table in 30 seconds, now in the second lock down I have made new records in two ways.
~It is true that every work is appreciated and condemned, but we get to learn a lot from those who condemn, many people say what happens by blowing a conch shell by making a world record and many people Appreciate my work, praise my work, encourage me, they give me the energy to do the work did
4 - Where has this art of yours been respected so far?
8 - How proud do you feel, then what has changed in your life after making a world record ? ~ After making a world record, everyone sees me as a talent, whenever I meet someone, my spirits praise me. After making my world record, the head of my family and my parents is held high with pride as well as my city. State My country's name is high in the world

I also want to help those people who die of disease due to lack of money. 6 - What message do you want to give to the youth of today? ~ Today's youth are mostly cool in the mobile world, yet if today's youth does any work diligently, then he will definitely get success in that work. says "Who never give up, always win . And being afraid of the waves never cross the point." Taking these lines as the basis, I get involved in any work diligently and I get success in that work.
9 - Do you believe that every success is a failure behind it and how do you achieve this success? ~ As my name is possible but if you work hard then no task is impossible for you too nowadays where children are busy in the mobile world no one likes to work hard all success in one time effort I want to achieve, I am busy in making new records by watching records on mobile as well as sports, coding classes and YouTube. The secret of my success is my father, he works very hard for me, many times we also fail but we We work hard until success is achieved, the hard work of both of us always becomes successful and we become successful in every task.

Nine Guinness World Records holder Keyboard typing is the most popular skill around the world in modern times. The keyboard remains a key element in ensuring that people with disabilities are also able to communicate and engage in everyday activities. As our communication technologies advance and we become increasingly reliant on websites and apps to facilitate our interpersonal interactions, we must not forget the critical role of the keyboard. Many people from all over the world have made a name for themselves in the Guinness World Records by using the keyboard. Have you ever wondered if a person can become globally famous just by using various keyboard skills. Today we are talking about one such person, Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, who gained popularity around the world for his unique keyboard typing skills. Vinod, a resident of Prem Nagar- 1st, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi (Distt. North West), India has made Delhiites proud by setting nine Guinness World Records and one India Book Record. His lightning fast keyboard typing skills stun the viewers beyond belief. Apart from typing with his fingers he can also type with the nose. So far, he has created five records titles in the world individual. Now he is creating a new record title: Most tennis ball touching in hand in one minute.

JULY 2021 - 120
Vinod also set the typing record with nose in just 45 seconds in Delhi for India Book of Records. His latest record title most touching the tennis ball in hand one minute is 205, and was created on 15th January, 2021. The previous record challenge was 180 which was attempted by JNU Campus in New Delhi. Vinod broke his own record by 58 and has applied for a Guinness World Record. His goal is to break 19 world records, a record held by the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. According to Vinod, records are always meant to be broken but still, he wants to set a record that no one can break. For this goal, his hard work continues even today. Born in Kishan Ganj, Delhi, Vinod is currently living in Kirari Suleman Nagar, Delhi India and is working as a Computer Operator (contractual basis) in SES, JNU, New Delhi. For his exceptional talents, he is now an Honorary Doctorate Degree holder form World Record University, U.K. If anyone wants to watch videos, they can do so by visiting social media platforms e.g. google, youtube etc. We hope this young man from Delhi continues to shine and make India proud. Since childhood Vinod participated in sports and athletics. He used to run and wanted to become an athlete like Milkha Singh. He used to participate in school level competitions and won 1st place in 100mt and 200mt track and since then has kept his passion of running alive. At that time, Vinod did not know that it would be his typing skills that would make him famous all over the world. At the age of 34, Vinod first broke Mohammed Khursheed Hussain’s record of 46.30 seconds, by typing with his nose in 2014. Since then he has continues to create and break records in the categories of typing and sports. Vinod’s dream was to join the Indian armed forces and to serve the country, however his dream could not be realised due to his shorter height. He did not give up and kept trying to crack various government exams. At last he could not secure any permanent job in the government sector. He pursued
to win Master Athletic Championship in 2018. During practice he finished 100mt run in 11.5 seconds but had to stop championship preparations due to ill-health. Family responsibility was another factor that stopped Vinod from pursuing his athletics goals. Vinod has three daughters and a son, and is the sole earner of this family. Good diet and other needs were difficult to meet in these circumstances, and he left athletics. But in order to move forward, Vinod kept creating records. Vinod has learnt to live in difficult circumstances and has learnt to never give up. Vinod has a post graduate degree in sociology and apart from creating world records he does a lot of social work. He teaches physical training, typing and computer skills to as many students as he can. His students are now finding jobs in government or private sectors and are able to earn for and sustain their families. Whilst Vinod could not join the armed forces, but several of his students got selected in the Indian Army and are serving the nation. Now Vinod’s goal is to create as many records in various fields for the country and to make India proud. Along with this he also wants the society to benefit from his skills and knowledge so that they can also become self-reliant.

Environmental Responsibility Going beyond environmental compliance can bring business benefits. Many businesses have realized that acting in a socially and environmentally responsible way is more than just a legal duty. It affects your bottom line and the long-term success of your business. This guide outlines your main environmental responsibilities, including your obligations to recycle the waste your business produces. It also explains where you can find more detailed information and help on environmental issues. Comply with environmental legislation There is a range of environmental rules your business may have to follow: • Comply with legislation regarding emissions into the air. • Store waste safely and securely, make sure it is treated appropriately, ensure it is collected by an authorized organization (such as your local authority or a licensed private waste contractor) and complete a waste transfer note or consignment note when waste is handed over. • Manage your business waste for recycling by separating paper, card, plastic, metals and glass prior to collection. Most food businesses also need to separate food
waste for recycling. • Ensure you do not cause a statutory nuisance which could affect someone's health or annoy your neighbours. This covers things like producing noise, smoke, fumes, gases, dust, odour, light pollution or accumulating rubbish.. Get permission from your water company before you allow trade effluent such as waste chemicals, detergents, cooling or cleaning water to enter the sewerage system. • Register with the National Packaging Waste Database, or join an approved compliance scheme if you handle more than 50 tonnes of packaging and have a turnover of more than £2 million. You must then provide evidence that you're recovering and recycling a set amount of packaging waste. • Make sure that you comply with restrictions on the storage and use of hazardous substances. Ensure that any hazardous waste your business produces is correctly classified and described, and is either disposed of or recovered at an appropriately authorized facility. • Notify the relevant enforcing authority and take steps to prevent the damage if your business activities pose an imminent threat to the environment. If your business activities cause actual environmental

damage, you must take remedial action to repair the damage. There are also specific environmental rules covering a wide range of businesses – from construction and electronics to textiles and chemicals manufacture. Hazardous substances covered by environmental legislation Specific environmental rules cover potentially dangerous substances. Every business needs to think about the risks to people or the environment posed by chemicals or substances classified as hazardous to health under the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations (CHIP). Hazardous substances are tightly regulated. They include: • animal by-products • chemicals • oil • ozone-depleting substances (ODS) • pesticides and biocides • radioactive materials • hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment • solvents You must consider the environmental risks for every hazardous substance you store, use, produce or dispose of at work. You must ensure you control any potential risks and comply with legislation when storing goods and materials. If you manufacture, use, import or recover from waste materials any chemicals, you may have to comply with the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) Regulations. Businesses manufacturing, recovering or importing any chemicals over 1 tonne per year must ensure those chemicals have been pre-registered or registered in full. If you manufacture electrical and electronic equipment you must comply with the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2008 (RoHS). Under RoHS, manufacturers are prevented from placing products on the market
with more than a certain amount of hazardous substances such as lead, mercury and cadmium. If you work with equipment containing ODS or fluorinated gases – including air conditioning and refrigeration equipment – there are requirements that you must meet regarding: • containment including prevention and repair of leaks, checking for leakages and record keeping • recovery for the purpose of recycling, reclamation or destruction • training and certification Regulated work includes the disposal, maintenance, servicing and dismantling of refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning equipment and heat pumps and the decommissioning of fire protection equipment and extinguishers. Waste and recycling You must ensure that any waste you produce as a result of your business operations is stored safely and securely, treated appropriately and collected for disposal or recycling by an organisation authorised to do so (such as your local authority or a licensed private waste contractor). In addition, the Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012 require all businesses to separate the following forms of commercial waste for recycling: • paper • card • plastic • metals • glass If your business processes, prepares or distributes food and produces over 50kg of food waste per week, you are also required to separate food waste unless your business operates in a designated rural area. Food businesses in non-rural areas producing over 5kg of food waste per week will have to comply with the regulations from 1 January 2016. Where collections of food waste are available, from 1 January 2016 it will be illegal to dispose of food waste directly or indirectly into a public drain or sewer.

Conservation and biodiversity issues for businesses Biodiversity refers to all species of plants and animals, including any genetic variations within those species, and the complex ecosystems they live in. The world is losing biodiversity at an ever-increasing rate as a result of human activity. All types of business operating near protected areas should be aware of their responsibilities for conservation and protecting biodiversity. This doesn't just apply to land-based industries such as forestry or farming, but to all offices, factories and other business activities based on or near these areas. Protected areas include: • Local nature reserves- places with wildlife or geological features that are of special interest locally. • National scenic areas- areas of particular natural beauty in need of conservation. • National parks- tracts of the countryside that have been given protection for the conservation and enhancement of their special qualities. • National nature reserves- important areas of wildlife habitat. • Sites of special scientific interest- good examples of natural heritage of wildlife habitats, geological features and landforms. • Special areas of conservation- strictly protected sites for habitat types and species that are considered to be most in need of conservation at a European level. • Special protection areas- strictly protected sites classified for rare and vulnerable birds. • Wetlands • UNESCO biospheres- areas of terrestrial and coastal/marine ecosystems which are internationally recognised under UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere programme. Prevent and remedy pollution incidents Every year there are thousands of cases of damage to the environment. The Environmental Liability Regulations relate to the most serious cases, covering:
• damage to species and habitats • damage to water • risks to human health from contamination of land The regulations apply to both actual cases of damage and threats of imminent damage. If you are responsible ie you are the 'operator' of the activity that causes or threatens the damage - you must take immediate action to prevent or remedy this. Reporting an incident • You should report incidents such as: • damage or danger to the natural environment • pollution to water or land • poaching or illegal fishing • fish in distress or dead fish • watercourse blocked by a vehicle or fallen tree causing risk of flooding • illegal dumping of special (hazardous) waste or large amounts of industrial waste • incidents at waste sites regulated by SEPA • illegal abstraction from watercourses • unusual drops in river flow • collapsed or badly damaged river or canal banks You should report incidents such as gas leaks, burst water mains, or domestic odours, noise, waste or pest nuisances to your local authority or utility company.

Environmental Responsibility Good awareness helps our generations to keep the eyes open of our environment. We, as the young generations are too young to deal with the nature, but we still have right to manage it. The younger generations inherit the world as we have the responsibility to take care of this planet. The Earth comes as the most important shelter for us and incoming generations in the future. I am glad to emphasize that selfish is not our general attitude. The universal should learn by heart that we will not stay longer in this world and it will be inherit to a new generations as the heir of conditioning. It means that we have only one wonderful world and we share it together for years. Humans are part of the natural eco-system that makes up our planet. Without this eco-system and the ability of Earth to support life, humans might very well cease to exist. As residents of planet Earth, humans have a responsibility to take care of the natural environment. Part of taking care of the environment involves a certain degree of social responsibility when
it comes to disposing of waste, using natural resources, and operating businesses. Some aspects of social responsibility are not within the direct control of all humans, but there is the possibility of indirect control. Benefits of Saving Environment First of all, the world climate will remain normal. Harming the Environment and causing pollution have caused global warming. Due to this many humans and animals have died. Hence, saving the environment would reduce global warming. The health of people would improve. Due to pollution and deforestation, the health of many people is poor. Conserving the Environment would certainly improve the health of people. Most noteworthy, saving Environment would reduce many diseases. In conclusion, Environment is a precious gift on this planet. Our Environment is facing a big danger. Saving Environment is the need of the hour. Probably, it is the biggest concern of Humanity right now. Any delay in this regard could be disastrous.

A Story Of The Kashi Naresh First time in Gwalior I came to a part of the Maharaja of Gwalior’s Palace, now used by the Taj Hotel Group. I knew no one. The Nawab of Mohammadgarh who should have taken me to his relatives in Gwalior, had become indisposed, so I came alone. I had met a young man at the Shatabdi Express train from Bhopal, otherwise none. But soon I had got a message, and the next day Salil Rajeshirke and Anand Mahurkar came to the reception. This through the interference of the Nawab. Salil Rajeshirke belongs to the royal family of Satara and the oldest Maratha clan from 7th century. I hope to tell his story on another occation. Anand Mahurkar belongs to one of the most important Sardar families of Gwalior. They are both close to the Scindia family and are also related to the Nawab of Mohammadgarh.
Hon. Kashi Naresh Maharaj Premsinghji Saheb with H.H. Maharaj Smnt. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia of Gwalior. The two helped me in Gwalior, and showed me the sights of Gwalior and we visited their families, and other royal and nobel friends. And the dinner were usually in The Royal Club, Jiwaji Club, fomer Elgin Club, establised by one of the Maharahjas. This article is not only about my first visit, but also when I returned the year after. And that time they took me by car to a place behind the fort, through a market were muslim and hindi women went shopping. We came to an unprerentieuse building, a palace I was told. Not much ornated.

Past & Present
JULY 2021 - 123
But the man I met was a jolly good fellow. As often my friends and also other Royals and nobles, had not told me who we were going to meet, and his title, Kashi Naresh, said nothing to me… We had a great time with Honourable Prem Singhji Maharaj, once his family was Kashi Naresh the Kings of Varanasi (Benares). We had refreshments, snacks and were singing songs from our respective countries. The Hon. was only unhappy that my visit was not announced, so no food was prepared for me, but I was cordially invited back, and then I would have to stay some days. Later I found out the history behind why this Royal of Benares held house here. A fascinating though unhappy story, but I was happy I had meet him. In Wikipedia we can read: The state (of Benares) was founded by the local zamindar, Raja Balwant Singh, who assumed the title of "Raja of Benares" in mid 18th century, taking advantage of the Mughal Empire's disintegration. His descendants ruled the area around Benares after liberation from Awadh (Oudh) and as feudatories of the East India Company. In 1910 or 1911, Benares became a full-fledged state of British India.
With Salil Raje Shirke, Hon. Kashi Naresh Maharaj Premsinghji & Anand Mahurkar
Hon. Kashi Naresh Maharaj Premsinghji & Family
The state was merged in India after India's independence in 1947, but even today the Kashi Naresh (the titular ruler) is deeply revered by the people of Varanasi. He is a religious leader and the people of Varanasi consider him an incarnation of Shiva. He is also the chief cultural patron and an essential part of all religious celebrations. Back to the Royal i was visiting and his family: Balwant Singh declared himself Maharaja of Benares in 1740. The Nawab of Oudh, in the 1750s and the 1760s, tried to take over Benares. A tiring guerrilla war was fought by the Benares ruler against the Oudh Nawab. After the defeat in the battle of Buxar the nawab tried to give the zamindari of Benares to the British even though he had no rights over it. The British refused the treaty. But later the East India Saturday, 5 June I World Environment Day 2021

Company accepted the offer and Benares came under the direct control of them. The Maharaja of Benares became very angry and did not pay any tribute to the British. The maharaja Chet Singh was put in house arrest. The people of Benares revolted against The Company. But the Company finally won. The maharaja or KASHI NARESH MAHARAJ CHAIT SINGH, the king of KASHI or Benares had to flee to Gwalior. Shrimant Mahadji Raje Scindia awarded him with enough villages and jaagirs to sustain him. I want to put some light on this history and the situation of many royals and nobles who fought against the British both in Company time and under the Crown. It would be great if the Indian Government in one way or other could aknowledge the early freedom fighters. A Royal Passage through India - an ongoing story (22 June 2021)

Bikram Das lifestyle & Food influencer
Travel Blog - Sikkim My name is Bikram Das, and I'm a lifestyle & Food influencer from Its Das Life, India. I was born and raised in Kakdwip and I currently live in Bolpur, West Bengal. I'm currently 22 years old and pursuing post graduation. So yeah, from my feed you can explore many things. I visited Sikkim in 2017. Sikkim is a state in northeastern India. It is bordered by Tibet to the north, Bhutan to the east, Nepal to the west and West Bengal to the south. Sikkim is the least populous state and the second smallest state in India. A part of the eastern Himalayas falls within the province of Sikkim. Kanchenjunga National Park covers 35% of the province. Kanchenjunga is the highest mountain in India and the third highest in the world. Which has further enhanced the biodiversity here. The capital of Sikkim is Gangtok. Small and big hills, and winding mountain roads, hilly forests, green nature, beautiful environment and winter snow have made Sikkim a paradise for tourists. This form of Sikkim is called "Happy Homeland" for its richness.
useful for traveling to Sikkim. For example, the weather in Sikkim is very pleasant and tolerable in summer i.e. April to June, for which it is considered to be the best time to visit Sikkim. *Places of interest in Sikkim: The entire province of Sikkim is a tourist destination. There are many tourist points here, all of which are beautiful. Tarunya Vairagade Nagpur
My life as a fashion influencer First and foremost, I would like to thank the team of "stayfeatured" whole-heartedly. One lesson that I have learned in life is that you need inspiration from various sources to keep moving ahead. And, it would certainly be great my story could inspire someone. To introduce myself, I am Tarunya Vairagade & I hail from the city of Nagpur. To be utterly honest, initially I wanted to be a popular influencer for the name and fame it brings. However, with time, I understood that it's much more that that. Being an influencer is a responsibility you carry on your shoulders. I ventured into social media in the year 2018 starting with Facebook & gradually proceeded to Instagram and YouTube. I grew immense popularity on Instagram and reached 87k followers in a short span. However, with great success, you tend to receive great obstacles too. What I received was much more than a mere obstacle. It was something which was going to make me feel dejected and depressed for a long time. For reasons still unclear, my Instagram account was disabled. It was one of the toughest phases in my life and luckily I had the support of both my parents; Mr. Vasudeo Vairagade and Mrs. Jayshree Vairagade. My brother Sanket also stood besides me like a pillar of strength. I decided to start afresh once again and gradually I started to grow once more. My first collaboration was with the
popular potato chips brand Lays and I kept getting one collaboration after another. By now, I have collaborated with a lot of leading brands such as Bank of Baroda, Alt Balaji, L.G, McCaffeine, Vi, Samsung, Jio India, Khadims, Cadbury, Bingo and much more. I could also support myself financially by this time. One tip I would like to give budding influencers is to always believe in their strengths and focus on it. Also, I would suggest them to stick to a niche they love and relate to the most. #tarunyafam welcomes you to be a part of it and I could be contacted on my personal Instagram if any budding influencer wants to seek any help. I am aware of the challenges microinfluencers have to face initially and hence, I am glad to help anyone out. Radhika Seth, Rohit Golia, Sakshi Malik still continue to be an inspiration for me and one day I would like to reach the bar set by them. I believe, the quality of the content is very important too and that should always be the first priority. You should never settle for anything less than the best and that's my motto nowadays. As of now, my personal hashtag has been used more than 1.2 million times making it one of the trending hashtags on Instagram. It's #tarunya_vairagade and all this just within a year. My new IG handle has crossed 50k followers now and I have a huge audience of 370k on Facebook. I hope more keep coming. One can never really succeed by merely looking at others. You need your own willpower, belief and a lot of perseverance to keep moving ahead despite all the challenges. Tough the challenge, tougher the person becomes. In words of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, stand up, stay firm and work towards the cause with utmost dedication and determination and your cause will garner support from others with time. Hence, let's do our best and good things will fall into place.
