Diet tips for women When it comes to health, our diet has a major role to play. To stay healthy and live a longer life, it is crucial to be mindful about what you are putting in your mouth. Every individual needs to eat foods rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients.Women have unique nutritional needs. By eating well at every stage of life, you can control cravings, manage your weight, boost your energy, and look and feel your best. The lockdown due to the global pandemic has led to several women working from home ,apart from handling household chores and managing their family life simultaneously .Juggling so many things together often becomes very stressful, and they are often unable to spare enough time for themselves to relax and unwind. A healthy diet is essential to keep ourselves fit and boost immunity, especially in these troubled times. Bringing positive changes in our diet and following some basic dietary rules can do wonders. Never skip breakfast : Ensure breakfast is your largest meal of the day. It helps the body to jump start the metabolism. A breakfast comprising carbs, proteins and fruits is highly recommended for good health.
Do not skip meals :We often tend to skip meals due to our hectic schedules .This is not a healthy habit ,as skipping of meals leads to slowing down of our body’s metabolism, eventually leading to unhealthy weight gain. Therefore, we should always make it a point to eat at regular times. Eat small but frequent meals: Eating meals every 3 hours helps in digesting food uniformly, and prevents us from overeating . Drink plenty of water :Water accounts for about 2/3 of the weight of the human body. Drinking about 2 to 2.5 litres of water per day keeps not only keeps us well hydrated ,it also helps in detoxifying the body. Include fruits and vegetables in your diet :Eating fresh fruits and vegetables regularly provides antioxidants to our body ,which also help relieve stress. Natural stress busters include citrus fruits ,amla and guava nuts such as almonds and walnuts ,raw vegetables like lettuce ,carrot ,cucumber and tomato. Cut down your sugar intake: Consuming foods with high sugar content poses a threat to our health. Reducing consumption of sugar-rich items such as cookies etc Consume foods rich in proteins: Proteins are considered to be the ‘building blocks ’of life ,that help our bones and tissues become healthy.foods rich in protein, such as fish, milk and milk products, and pulses such as dal, channa, beans etc., should be included in our regular diet. YOUR HEALTH IS AN INVESTMENT ,NOT AN EXPENSE!!!

Discrimination ruins true progress The status of girls in Indian society has been a matter of controversy for a long time. Generally since ancient times, girls have been recognized for their involvement in cooking and playing with dolls while boys are involved in education and other physical activities. It is true that in our society everyone wants a son because of the financial support, to support their old-age and according to Indian mindset, only a boy has the right to informant his father. This belief in Indian society makes the supremacy of boys. But the truth is that today in the twenty-first century, girls are not far behind boys in any field. I do not know why society's perception about girls remains the same. This is a living example, In Lalitpur village of Uttar Pradesh, a man committed suicide by hanging himself because a fourth daughter was born to him. This incident shows that the desire of the son drives the person crazy.
To improve the condition of daughters, the government has made many schemes such as 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' to prevent female feticide and many plans are also in place to improve the future of daughters like 'Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana' and 'Pradhan Mantri Kanya Yojana 2020' . We have to understand that it is impossible to expand this world without women, so it is necessary to save the girls. At the same time we should respect women and they should be given equal opportunities to move forward in life. We should understand that nature built both boy and girl without any discrimination. It has given girl to breathe in open air like boys then why this discrimination happens in our society. Mansi Sharma

WOMEN - BROKEN YET SHINING In life full of dramatic versions her story roared, But no one has dare to lend her a hand. She always remained as the victim of snored, Do ever know of making something life that too end. It's not we call life ; it makes a woman to go through evil, After all her ambitions are unnoticed and unheard. Stepping her feet out of the house humanity turned into devil, Nor this society give her the hand her story gone unheard. She was a little baby but born as a girl with overloaded cuteness, Which made a man to cover his eyes with lust just on a small kid.
Do the society where a baby have come give her hope to survive? No. Evil humanity of lust always stood like a lid. She is a mother, daughter, sister yet she is alone, Survival of her was questioned by society. Not for her achievements they stood by her side but they left all alone, Born as a girl makes a future generation but evil humanity will not make her survive. If a girl can walk on the ambitions, there the day of support flourishes, Give her the wings of courage and hope. Let her fly with the dreams, be like a brother and stand like a father, Little the favour she needs from the society to make her fly high. Konki Kamal Sharon JANUARY 2021 - 003

UnSung heroes No Longer – 1 An interview with Ms Khatija Rahman - Daughter of Dr A R Rahman-music director Khatija Rahman started her philanthropic journey by volunteering her time at Adyar Cancer Institute, one of the prominent cancer institutes in Chennai, and at the Little Flower School for the blind. She is continually building on projects enhancing the power of women's Empowerment, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. A graduate of commerce from Stella Maris and a Youth Red Cross volunteer, Khatija Rahman has also finished her Bachelors and Masters in Islamic Studies from B.S. Abdur Rahman College, Vandalur. She is a singer who has had her debut in the movie 'Robot' and has sung the title track in all three languages. She is training in Hindustani music, Western vocals, and piano. Her recent accomplishment in the music field is she collaborated with the famous U2 on a song called AHIMSA, which gained worldwide recognition. At present, she is the Director and Trustee of The A R Rahman Foundation and is aligned closely with capacity building and Music research projects. She believes in using her musical abilities to support various causes. Her recent music single Farishton had an animated music video that spoke about women's Empowerment, unity in diversity, and spread the message of empathy. Here is the interview of Khatija Rahman, daughter of the Ace Musician and music director Dr.A.R.Rahman. She readily accepted to answer all our questions in a graceful way. 1. How did you start your philanthropic journey?
A philanthropic journey just started like that. I did not even plan to start as such. I just started the journey on a small scale, and by God's Grace, I am able to pursue it still. I can confidently say that my grandmother has positively influenced me from childhood with her kindness and strength. My grandmom has never sent anyone without feeding them food and water. From her, I got the inspiration and strength to pursue something that you name it now as 'philanthropic journey' of mine. 2. How was it for you to handle criticisms when you started? Initially, for me to face the criticisms, especially for my dressing, was annoying me so much. It was getting irritated to handle criticism. I felt so sensitive and affected. I felt so upset when my dad Dr. A.R.Rahman had to face criticisms in his industry and media. As time went by, I realized that I should not feel guilty because my identity and I, as an individual entity, are separate, and I should not be bothered by people's criticisms. And if people are going to hold my mom or dad responsible for my identity, it's their problem and not mine. Eventually, I have started to develop a thick skin as I began to pursue my dreams and take my Life forward. 3. How does it feel to be a celebrity's daughter? What struggles did you face to carve your own identity? Well, that is an interesting question. Personally, It feels so good to be a celebrity daughter. I won't deny that. But you know, I have an identity of my own, and I am still working on my identity. I have not come to a point where I can stop working on carving my own identity. Every path is a challenging ride, but it ... JANUARY 2021 - 005
UnSung heroes No Longer – 1 An interview with Ms Khatija Rahman - Daughter of Dr A R Rahman-music director has been a smooth ride for me when it comes to people. I am not taking too much pressure on my head at present. By God's grace, everything is so for so good in the journey. 4. Your past and future projects, and what do you aim to achieve? I want to touch people in whatever way I can. Through my art form or my philanthropic journey, I want to share the amount of love that I have received to the world. In all my projects, be it my past projects or futuristic projects that will come up, I want to achieve the art of sharing love and kindness. 5. How did you feel when you "trendsetter "award from IGWA? Also, can you please talk about other honors you received so far? I feel empowered when I am awarded because an award is like a validation for the good works that I do. I recently received the Inspirational Global Women Awards – 2020. I have also received the Empowerment women award from One Life NGO in 2020. Also, in 2017 I received the trailblazer award of the year. These are the honors I have received, and it's a long way to go in Life. In Life, appreciations make you feel happy. It is like a pat on your back and a push to pursue your goals.
New Zealand. I have been inspired by Hon' PM Jacinda Arden's works looking at how graceful she has been leading the country. I sincerely wish to meet her one day. 7. Since you have been into women empowerment how do you feel about the education system in our country? The education system in our country is getting better. Our country is getting better towards providing better education. We need to work hard in proving even better education to women. Because, as the saying goes, If you educate a girl, you educate a family. 8. Where do women stand now? Women are standing in the forefront. There is a lot of awareness and there are lots of things changing for better. Women are being empowered through education, raising awareness on their rights, training them to make their own wise decisions, etc. However, I feel that in our country, there needs to be a lot of work done on Women Safety. Because no matter what we achieve, when we fail to provide safety to women, we as a society fail terribly.
6. What's your message for women on Empowerment? Women's Empowerment is a vast topic. From my perspective, true Empowerment is to live in whatever way you want to without any fear of social stigma. I think this is the definition of Empowerment. Be it for women, men, or transgender. The more empowered women taking leadership, one good example is JANUARY 2021 - 006

Woman: lifeline of a family The words WOMAN and FAMILY are actually synonymous with each other, inseparable so to speak. From the most earliest times, as far as history goes, women have always been given the secondary place, only because she is physically weaker than her male counterpart. Nevertheless that has never stopped her from emerging out as a winner, whenever a challenge is thrown in her path. God has blessed her with immense amount of resilience and this one quality has kept her going in life relentlessly, no matter how dreary the circumstances might have been. As a matter of fact, RESILIENCE should be the middle name of every woman. A woman is a magical amalgam of love, tenderness, courage and endurance. She can be a supportive sister to her siblings who need a best friend to confide into or a shoulder to cry on. She can become a backbone of the house to help her parents financially, to make both ends meet. A loving mother, who's warmth and kind words fill your days with peace and happiness. An understanding wife who stands by you like a pillar through all the thick and thin in.
I'm not saying all this because I'm a woman myself. No. But famous personalities, people whom I have witnessed and my years of experience have only testified that our families would definitely be incomplete without a woman. I call her the heartbeat of our homes. She has it in her to keep her children grounded and remind them of their duties and responsibilities, with love and sometimes maybe with a little scolding. She is the cement of the house that binds all relationships together. A woman can easily take up multiple roles without flickering an eyelid. She is the roof of security, walls of warmth and roots of love. Moreover, all this is not because of the work she does at home, for that you can have a maid or keep a cook. It's not even because she steps out of the house to earn money. It's about her nature, her golden heart and for the type of person she is. An epitome of love and sacrifice. She has the strength in her to forgive and forget, however gigantic the mistake might be. For a woman, family is not just important, it's her everything, her heart and soul resides in it.

Of course there are a mix lot of people in this world and you may have come across women who are just the opposite. But here we are talking about the majority. Women as she is carved by nature. I once overheard someone say to his son, "I pray to die before your mom. She'll survive without me, but God forbid if she goes first, I won't be able to live without her." I'd like to end with these two beautiful quotes which summarise all about who and what a woman is:
A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water. | Eleanor Roosevelt You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation. | Brigham Young Shamim Merchant, Mumbai.

Series Of Real-life Experiences The art of Human Networking!!
One fine evening I received a call from my friend who is an HM of a Middle school nearby my workplace. She called me after an exceedingly long time, but the matter was a little bit hard. She asked me to find her old friend who studied with her in the Teacher Training Institute during the 80s at Villupuram, a big town in Tamil Nadu. She offered for help as I am also from the same place. I asked her about the intention, whether there is a special occasion. The answer was simple, “Gathering”. The Replica of the Tamil movie “96”, a film of reuniting the school friends of the year 1996. I enquired her whether she browsed FB and she said the “Trace out” was not successful. I dialed my friend, who is also a teacher and gave her the details. Within two hours, she caught the person!! It was a brief process according to her! She filtered the teachers of 1980s and shortlisted
between 1985-89. Then further filtered those who hailed from Villupuram. B o t h the friends were in tears after exchanged their phone numbers and whereabouts. My friend thanked me with tears of joy, and I reciprocated the same with my friend who helped me to complete the request veryeasily. All of these are possible only by Human Networking and not by the FB. Most of us believe that FB is the only mode to find our old friends. But it works to some extent and we cannot rely upon it all the time. Though FB is a platform to make and find friends but could not reach after certain levels. The search would be successful unless the information is matched. The piece of info we can get here it is not about making so many friends but of maintaining the friendship for a long time. It should be adopted for our relationships too. I maintained my friendship with Anu(the teacher who helped me to find that friend)for more than 20 years! We are all using modern communication tools such as mobiles and social media platforms vigorously from 2000 onwards. But before that our postal department did the tremendous job of communicating and uniting us and it is still counting! Maintaining relationships and friendships is not that easy. But maintaining them is too essential and valuable nowadays. To achieve this, we should have a lot of patience, adjustments, and sacrifices! Apart from the above, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is the main string that joins our hearts!! This is what I learnt from the Slice of Life and having immense satisfaction by sharing the same feeling with you!

OUR SCHOOL FOR SOCIETY
Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Perundurai.
Mr.C.Kandhan, Senior Teacher of Agriculture, and his students from years to years have implemented various environmental protection initiatives to promote the school environment. This school has state level fame for the green revolution movement based on the central government guidelines to provide innovative environmental education. It motivates students by active experimentation along with hands-on learning experience of agricultural tasks. Additionally, this school has featured in reputed newspapers in India, such as The Indian Express and Dinamani.
This is Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) which is located at Perundurai (Taluk) in Erode (District) of Tamil Nadu (State). It is one of the best government schools in Tamil Nadu. It is running efficiently since more than 100 years. Now, this school is remarkably managed by the Headmaster, Mr.A.Arul Kumar. For more than a decade,... Mr.C.Kandhan and his students JANUARY 2021 - 011
In other schools, there is no agriculture department to promote training and guide students for implementing what they learn in the textbooks. In our school, Mr.C.Kandhan plays a major role in promoting learning by doing of agricultural tasks. His students who are the passed outs are working in various agricultural fields with high success rate.
In-school Environment These are the plantation methods for the life-science friendly environment:
GBHSS – School Entrance There are various plants and plantation techniques are used in this school to make green and clean environment with the reduction of global warming. The Mid-Day Meals in this school are cooked with the use of vegetables from the school garden. Students feel cool inside the school while the sunlight burns them outside the school campus. It encourages them to attend the school without fail. Indirectly, it is one of the reasons for the school to come up with 100% academic results in SSLC and HSC continuously.
Miyawaki Planting – In this Japanese plantation technique of 93-years-old botanist, Mr.Akira Miyawaki, various native species of plants are planted close to each other so that the greens receive sunlight only from the top and grow upwards than sideways. As a result, the plantation becomes approximately 30 times denser, grows 10 times faster and becomes maintenance-free after a span of 3 years. It paves way for biodiversity. Oxygen Park – Oxygen park is referred as a man-made “green lung” with a design inspired by nature. It absorbs carbon-di-oxide and emits oxygen in a large amount for the process of human respiration. It enhances human and animal health by providing oxygen friendly environment. JANUARY 2021 - 012
Butterfly Bush – Buddleia is otherwise known as the butterfly bush. It supplies lots of nectar to attract a wide variety of species, such as butterflies. It is a fast growing shrub and categorized into easy-care plants. Herbal Garden – Herbal garden is a way of conserving Rare, Endangered and Threatened (RET) species of Medicinal Plants. Here, it is particularly called as School Herbal Garden. It is to popularize the use of medicinal plants among students and the society. It is based on the vision of Former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to maintain health and wellness of students. It is suggested for schools by National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) and National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI).

THE REAL HOUSE MAKER “Marrying you was the worst decision of my life, I can’t take it anymore.” Rajesh angrily said. “Really rajesh, I just can’t believe what you just said now. Fine, what do you want?” said Usha. “Divorce.” The earth has shaken for Usha as she heard this word, she has been married with rajesh for 15 years and suddenly a small misunderstanding and rajesh is asking for divorce. “What!” Usha was flabbergasted “Don’t overreact on this, you also want divorce that is why you are blaming me.” “I am not blaming you Rajesh, I am just saying that in this tuff time you must save for our family. You have a very bad habit of extravagance and you know it. So what I am saying is I am running this home in our savings.
You don’t have permanent job and your male ego doesn’t let me do the job also so how can I run this house? Next month we have to pay Montu’s school fees, do you have that? God doesn’t do that but suppose your mother suddenly fell ill so how will you pay hospital’s bill? Answer all these questions, still if you find me wrong then I’ll divorce you happily.” Usha was saying all these and crying bitterly. “Don’t show off that you run this house, I am the breadwinner of this house. You do all these stuff because I earned it and give it to you. Without me, you are nothing. What is your identity? I am Mr. Rajesh Shah, I am your identity. Society knows you because of me, got it Mrs Rajesh shah?” Rajesh said arrogantly. “Fine, Mr. shah. You are right you are my identity, I accept it and I am not like you. I want to give a last chance to this shaken marriage ship from drowning. You said you run this house because of your money, accepted now for a one day stay at home and do my household duty, montu’s duty, your mother’s duty JANUARY 2021 - 016
and then decide whatever you want. If you are successful in doing this I’ll prepare divorce paper and give it to you and if you failed then you have to start the savings for our family. Agree? Usha firmly said. “Challenge accepted. Next Sunday I’ll take care of this house and prove you that male is better home administered than female.” Rajesh said in egoism. Sunday came and Rajesh woke up early in the morning to prove his point but he doesn’t have any idea that from where to start the household work. First of all he tries to make tea for all but he can’t find the ingredients. Milk was yet to come, milkman came and gave milk but Rajesh was feeling sleepy so he drop the milk vessel and whole milk was spreaded on the floor. “What a brilliant way of starting the day!” he said to himself. Usha was watching all these and feeling sad that she had to do this for her shaken marriage life and for her family.
Montu was not going for bath and making more and more demands so Rajesh slapped him angrily. Her mother was not taking medicines, so Rajesh was requesting her to take it but at the end he gave up and angrily said, “do as you wish, kill yourself.” In a short period in his heard Rajesh understood that Usha is the real home maker and the best home administer but his ego doesn’t let him believe that. Rajesh has cooked for the family but the lunch was this century’s worst lunch. Everybody at the lunch table laugh at Rajesh. Finally Rajesh believed that Usha was right. In the evening Rajesh said to Usha, “ I am really sorry, I was very absurd with you. You are the queen of this house. Though I am the breadwinner but you are real house maker off this family. Today I am accepting that Female has her own identity. Male needs female for their betterment.” Usha doesn’t said a word, she just hugged Rajesh and was feeling content that her love has saved her marriage life and family from drowning.

‘Mother A Real Treasure’ “Good song makes you happy for few minutes, Good film makes you happy for few hours, Good college makes you happy for few years, But Mother’s love makes you happy for life long…!!!”
Mother is the precious gift of god. Mother is the fulfilment and eye of each one’s life. Mother shapes a good generation, because mother is the inspiration of life.
“Smile increases face’s value, Love increases heart’s value, Pleasure increases mind’s value, Mother’s sharing and caring increases our life’s value.” JANUARY 2021 - 018
Mother suffers more hardships, difficulties and more problems for her own child. But she suffers all things with cheerful face. Mother is the corner stone of the family. The people who think about love are saying that motherly love is the purest unforgettable love. She loves her child without any expectation. We cannot express our mother’s love through our own words. She is the greatest in the world and also she is above than our words. Mother is the symbol of love and caring and sharing. Mother is a soulmate who loves us without any greed. Mother is a bunch of roses. She helps us without any greed and any pause, she stands like an umbrella to
us while it rains and work as a medicine in pain. Mother is like a roof in sun, ready to love without any return. In sickness and sorrow, in sunshine or rain, in good times or bad times, in peace or pain, in joy or sadness, with friends false or true, remember that mother’s love and care for us is always unconditional. A good mother says ‘When you see a person who is better than me, just go with him/her I will not stop you, because your happiness is my happiness. But when she leaves you alone don’t worry dear “Because will be always there to share your sorrow and celebrate your success.” This is the love of a mother.
Motherly love is like a circle, Because star has 5 end points, Square has 4 end points, Tringle has 3 end points, And a line has 2 end points, But the love of mother has no end points. I’m happy, you know why? Because I’m lucky, you know why? Because God loves me, you know why? He gave a great treasure to me, you know who? Its non-other than my beloved mother. So, thank the lord, because you also got a great treasure from God that is your own mother, so pray for them; their blessings will be with you always. In short Mother = Love, And Love = Mother. So, don’t forget your mother……!!!!!! May God Bless You All….!!!!!!! Amen….!!!!!!! Edward de Souza JANUARY 2021 - 019

"WOMEN-LIFE LINE OF FAMILY" Women are the pioneers of nation. Indian culture attaches great importance to women, comprising half of world’s population. According to a report of secretary general of United Nations, women constitute 50% of human resources, the greatest human resource next only to man having great potentiality. Women are the key to sustainable development and quality of life in the family. The varieties of role the women assume in the family are those of wife, leader, administrator, manager of family income and last but not the least important the mother. Woman is man’s helpmate, partner and comrade. She sacrifices her personal pleasure and ambitions, sets standard of morality, relieves stress and strain, tension of husband, maintains peace and order in the household. Thereby she creates necessary environment for her male partner to think more about the economic upliftment of family. She is the source of inspiration to man for high endeavour and worth achievements in life. She stands by him in all the crises as well as she shares with him all successes and attainments.
She is the person to whom he turns for love, sympathy, understanding, comfort and recognition. She is the symbol of purity, faithfulness and submission and devotion to her husband. A well-ordered disciplined household is essential to normal family life. The woman in the family assumes this function. She is the chief executive of an enterprise. She assigns duties among family members according to their interest and abilities and provides resources in-term of equipment and materials to accomplish the job. She plays a key role in the preparation and serving of meals, selection and care of clothing, laundering, furnishing and maintenance of the house. As an administrator, she organizes various social functions in the family for social development. She also acts as a director of recreation. She plans various recreational activities to meet the needs of young and old members of the family. Woman acts as the humble manager of the family income. It is her responsibility to securemaximum return from every pye spent. She always prefers to prepare a surplus budget instead... JANUARY 2021 - 020
of a deficit budget. She is very calculating loss and gain while spending money. She distributes judiciously the income on different heads such as necessities, comforts and luxuries. The woman in the family also contributes to the family income through her own earning within or outside the home. She has positive contribution to the family income by the work. She herself performs in the home and uses waste products for productive purposes. The whole burden of child bearing and greater part of child rearing task are carried out by the woman in the family. She is primarily responsible for the child’s habit of self-control, orderliness, industriousness, theft or honesty. Her contacts with the child during the most formative period of his development sets up his behaviour pattern. She is thus responsible for the maintenance of utmost discipline in the family. She is the first teacher of the child. She transmits social heritage to the child. It is from mother that the child learns the laws of the race, the manner of men, moral code and ideals. The mother, because of her intimate and sustained contact with the child, she is able to discover and nurture child’s special traits aptitudes and attitudes which subsequently play a key role in the shaping of his personality. As a mother she is the family health officer. She is very much concerned about the physical wellbeing of every member of the family, the helpless infant, the sickly child, the adolescent youth, senescent parent. She organizes the home and its activities in such a way so that each member of the family has proper food, adequate sleep and sufficient recreation. She made the home a place of quite comfortable and appropriate setting for the children through her talent. Besides, she cultivates taste in interior design and arrangement, so that the home becomes an inviting, restful and cheerful place.
The mother is the central personality of the home and the family circle. All the members turn to her for sympathy, understanding and recognition. Woman devotes her time, labour and thought for the welfare of the members of the family. For the unity of interacting personalities, man provides the temple woman provides the ceremonies and the atmosphere. The woman performs the role of wife, partner, organizer, administrator, director, re-creator, disburser, economist, mother, disciplinarian, teacher, health officer, artist and queen in the family at the same time. Apart from it, woman plays a key role in the socio-economic development of the society. Women are the key to sustainable development and quality of life. So they should be members of community centre or club to disseminate knowledge about handicraft, cottage industries, food preservation and low cost nutritious diet to people belonging low socio economic status for their economic upliftment. They should act as leaders of the society to raise voice against women violence, exploitation in household as well as in work place, dowry prohibition superstition and other social atrocities. Moreover it is the women who have sustained the growth of society and moulded the future of nations. In the emerging complex social scenario, women have a vital role to play in different sectors. They can no longer be considered as mere harbingers of peace but are emerging as the source of power and symbol of progress. Pratiba Sopori

If women were not there‌ If women were not there... If women were not there, Than who will become lifeline of family? Than who will be forever for you? Than who will be the pillar of your family? If women were not there, Imagine how dark life will be, How worst your day will be, It would be something you'll never want, It would be something you'll always regret, Women takes your darkness and make you shine, They swallow your sadness and make you smile, A world without a women can be a nightmare, At that time the importance of her you might care, Nothing can happen, World will be stop, No encouragement, And all your plans can flop, If women were not there... CORONA HOLIDAYS A BLESSING OR CURSE 2020, the year of great expectations turned as a black year in the history of human life. It was an infected year that locked down everyone in the concrete walls by the novel corona virus. Corona virus disease is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered novel corona virus. Most people infected with the COVID - 19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. The most common symptoms are fever, dry cough and tiredness. Less common symptoms are aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis, headache, loss of taste or smell, a rash on skin. When we speak whether the corona holidays is a blessing or a curse, without any doubt it is a curse. It may be a blessing for those who didn't experience its malignancy. Human life is greater than anything. The virus that took away many lives of our dear and near ones is really a curse. Many people fear this pandemic will cause major economic damage. There will be a great loss in production, supply chains will be disrupted and consumption will be declined. This causes a vast change in our life style. The economy is being quarantined by the
restrictions imposed in the battle against the virus. Everyone of us have great expectations in 2020. But the virus has made the whole year a holiday. Usually holidays are meant to enjoy. On contrary, this corona holidays made us to shelter in our home itself. These are the bare holidays without any enjoyment. There is no shopping, outing, movie, functions etc. People are locked inside their house, so that they weren't able to meet their lovables and relatives. When we speak or think about education, students are affected more. Though they enjoy the holidays, it is a great loss for their future. This Covid-19 has affected educational systems world-wide, leading to the total closure of schools, colleges and universities. This closures impact not only students, teachers and families but have far-reaching economic and societal consequences. This pandemic have shed lights on various socio-economic issues including student debt, digital learning, food insecurity, child care, health care, internet etc. The impact was more severe for the children of disadvantaged families by causing interruption in learning, compromise in nutrition and consequent economic cost to families who couldn't work. Lack of access to technology is a great obstacle to students in rural areas. Though the early childhood educational programmes and primary education has been stopped, this epidemic had more impact on the secondary and higher secondary education as it is the most important stage of development for the young and the most rapid phase of their physical, mental and emotional growth. Last but not least, as a women, the worst thing happens to us. We are assigned to work in the kitchen 24Ă—7. Corona has given holidays to all but employed women as full time employer. On the whole, the holidays due to Corona virus is really not a boon but a curse in many ways. JANUARY 2021 - 023
R.K.Umadevi Woman -Life line of family... Woman -Life line of family... From her birth, till her growth, She kept running a race very smart. This fruitful, grown, tender plant uprooted, Planted in new soil and her 'self' is looted. She daily wins the dawn from her bed, All her homage made her hand red, Rests only in her sack deep sleep, Sometimes spoiled by her man's creep. Her mind and action is multidimensional, For husband, children and his family she turns devotional, The little home is her vast kingdom, But her rules are executed seldom. From specs to sock she can only pass, Eyes from outside may feel " she tasks as ass"
But soulful heart is seen in works she does. She tags the family with each one of us. She roots faith in her kids, She roots care in her elders, She roots love in her Man, She is the root to strengthen family's goal. She toils inside with love and care, She moils outside for money to share, She is Durga on tasking power, Still a kid longing for caring flower. As daughter, sister, Mom, wife And friend she flies in colour, She connects broods signal as tower, From all she wishes only dignity, She can win everything beyond her femininity. Umadevi R.K.

Woman- life line of a family Whenever any of the family members needs something to eat, to drink, to wear, or to play, its been common to hear them calling their mother, wife or sister. “Women a word that indicates a sense of love, purity, struggle and care. She never thinks for her life more than of her loved ones. Story of many tells the phenomenon of sacrificing a woman's desire to be different from others, to be independent, to follow her inner spirit and heart because she always stands first in the queue waiting for het turn to sacrifice. So how she cannot be the lifeline of a family as a father is incomplete without his daughter, a brother is incomplete without his sister, a husband is incomplete without his wife and a child is
incomplete without his or her mother and a human being would not have existence without woman. The dishes on dining table tastes awful without that magical touch of woman. Despite these roles of woman in a family she never carries a feeling of favour on others or ego in her. Surprisingly, many times other members of family never realise this importance of woman in their life unless they lose them forever. The only message I want to convey by this article is the responsibility that each person of family should be aware with the fact that respective women in their life is the lifeline of a family. Respect her, Love her.

IT’S OK Sometimes, It’s ok not to have answers, It’s ok not to be strong. It’s ok to do nothing at all. JUST BREATH. Sometimes, It’s ok to be wrong. It’s ok to just be you. It’s ok to take a nape. It’s ok not to be ok. JUST BREATH. Sometimes, It’s ok to make mistakes. It’s ok to stare at dark sky. It’s ok to be alone. It’s ok to cry. JUST BREATH. Sometimes , It’s ok to say no. It’s ok to celebrate. It’s ok to hide. It’s ok to be hurt . BUT BREATH. Be ok with not knowing for sure, “What Might Come Next”. But know that whatever it is “You Will Be Ok”. JANUARY 2021 - 026

Hey Life! Hey life ! Just stay for a minute for me, I want to live my dreams to be..... A butterfly that have the fragrance of many flowers, A beautiful waterfall of blessings of showers, A river that flows to the weired directions, A sky where no limits of destinations. I want to take some rest in nature’s lap, Where i forgot sorrows and enjoy the clap, The clap of lovely leaves and stars,To enjoy the beauty of tiny dwarfs. I want fly high in the sky by closing my eyes, To have crystals of cold ,calm, snow which flies. I feel I could
be the swan who climb every height, I feel i could be the peak of every flight. But it seems that time is passing rapidly through my palm, Please stop it for a while to make me calm. I have to complete everything which rest, Which make me i think the ever best. But alas! Time is playing and slips like a sand, I need little pause to correct myself, i fold my hands. Give me some sunshine, give me some rays, Give me a little chance to live for some more days. Ramandeep Kaur
