Why Marry? When the thought of getting married comes to your mind , take some time to think about Why Marry ? Your first reaction to the question may be right age to get married parents pressure found a partner-in –love reasonably well settled However when you further delve into the question a little more, you might find that your thinking and beliefs may have certain flaws. You may be in love with someone but may not fit to be a good spouse. Marrying someone from your close friends and family may not work because of their known and unknown weaknesses Celebrating marriage after dating for a long time may not bring out the inner personality of the other person But framing the marriage debate solely in those terms obscures as much as it reveals. It misses the profound benefits that lasting marriage confers on adults. And it overestimates considerably the likelihood that divorce will, in fact, lead to greater happiness for the individual.
However the positive reasons of deciding to get married are to live longer, get richer, and be happier . Marriage is a powerful creator and sustainer of human and social capital for adults as well as children, about as important as education when it comes to promoting the health, wealth, and well-being of adults . When it comes to adults, the case for lifelong marriage has been framed in exclusively moral, spiritual, and emotional terms: one side argues for personal liberation from marriage, the other urges parents to sacrifice for God's and/or the kids' sake. Parents surely should be willing to make appropriate sacrifices for their kids' sake It is not good for man to be alone—no, nor woman neither. In virtually every way that social scientists can measure, married people do much better than the unmarried or divorced: they live longer, healthier, happier, sexier, and more affluent lives.

Plain old water You’ve heard this one a million times, but it’s also really important – 2 bottles of water a day to flush out toxins and keep you hydrated.Keep the bottle of water whenever you step out of house and sip it every time you feel thirsty .Especially helps when you’re one of those lazy ones (aren’t we all?) who delays quenching their thirst just because they don’t want to get up and walk to the water cooler and/or kitchen.
Simmi Khanna CLINICAL DIETITIAN AND LIFETSYLE COACH JAMNAGAR I GUJARAT
Wedding diet Tips Follow a simple philosophy – don’t look at the weighing scale, instead consider how you feel on a daily basis. Energised? Light on your feet? Ready to take on the world? Then you’re doing just fine! Of course, this is easier said and done. As a bride to be, you are going to say – but I want my waist to be slim enough to look gorgeous in my lehenga and all those saris! I want to be toned, and I want to be thin, thin, thin! But did you know, you can be thin and still unhealthy? Your health is most important. And for all those late nights and hectic weekends you will spend planning your wedding and shopping, it’s important for you to have the energy to get through all of it. And a healthy lifestyle will also improve your immunity, which is equally important. Coconut Water with chia seeds Have the simple nariyal ka paani daily with chia seeds for glowing skin. It’s easy to follow, yummy, and nobody minds that it’s packed with nutrients AND gets your hair and skin to look great!
Home cooked food Try carrying the food like wraps and salads and not eat outside food or processed food . Start your day with a fruit (within 5-10 minutes of waking up), then after an hour’s gap have whatever it is you feel like having – your cup of tea, or even better, milk! Healthy snacks you can carry with you while shopping. Have unsalted almonds & cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds. Sleep Do param shavas and param nad for peaceful sleep .Check on youtube (dietexpertsimmi) A few of these habits won’t be easy to keep. It takes a little while to create a habit, and if you ride it out you’ll see a big change in your health and body. Will-power is easy when it comes to food matters – just think long-term and you’ll see the benefits. Especially when you’re the bride, imagine yourself at the mandap and how you want to look on the most special day of your life. That should be motivation enough!

SAPTAPADI Marriage is a sacred bond uniting a couple in a lifetime relationship of love, care, trust, loyalty and commitment. One of the rituals in Hindu Marriage is taking seven rounds, symbolic of seven vows called Saptapadi (in South India) or Saat Phere. Holding bride’s hand, bridegroom leads her during 1st to 4th pheras and the bride leads him during the remaining 3 pheras. In some places groom takes lead during all the pheras. As explained by Mathematics, each circle is 360° and the only number from 1 to 9 which cannot divide 360° is 7. It symbolises that nothing can divide their relationship. The verses of Saptapadi in Sanskrit are 1.Om esha ek padi bhava With the promise to nourish each other I take this first step with you. 2.Om oorje dwipadi bhava With determination to grow together in strength, physical, mental and spiritual I take this second step with you. 3.Om rayasposhaya tripadi bhava With the promise to preserve our wealth and prosperity I take this third step with you.
4.Om mayobhavyaya chatushpadi bhava With the vow to serve you with happiness and harmony, I take this fourth step with you. 5.Om prajabhya panchpadi bhava With the promise to care for our healthy long lived children, I take this fifth step with you. 6.Om ritubhya shatpadi bhava With the vow to be together forever in all responsibilities I take this sixth step with you. 7.Om Sakhe saptapadi bhava With the promise of everlasting friendship and true companionship I take this seventh step with you. There are variations in different parts of India but the significance is based on our ancient culture. The vows made in presence of sacred fire are considered unbreakable as God of Fire (Agnidev) Himself is witnessing (Agnisakshi) and blessing the union of the couple.

Daughter A blessing Sonal was teary eyed while listening a Gujarati Song “Teri laadki Mai”, suddenly his father called her, “Sonal come downstairs.” “Yes Papa coming in five minutes.” Sonal replied. “Why your face is sad? Asked her father. “No, nothing Papa, it was just some dust that fell in my eyes.” Sonal cleverly replied. “Oh, really! Now you think that you can fool your father? Don’t you remember that I know you more than yourself.” “Fine, you got me, it was just that I was listening that “Teri laadki Mai” song so became bit emotional.” “Oh my god! Look at this girl, you have just listened that song and started crying? What will happen when your marriage will be decided?” “I knew it was coming, I am now a big trouble for you that’s why you always talk only and only about my marriage.” “Are you mad or what? Does a cow feel a weight of its own horns? You are blessings of God. You can never be a trouble for me. In fact when I don’t see you around myself, makes me trouble.”
“Papa, do you have a butter factory? What filmy talk you have! You always tell these sweet things and made me forget my anger. Papa can I ask you a question?” “Yes dear.” “When I was listening that song I heard a word named “खम्मा घणी” what does that mean?” Father felt very emotional by that questions, his eyes corner has drop of tears rolling down to his cheeks and in a heavy voice he replied, “It means more and more blessings and love to my daughter.” “Hmm.. Can I ask you one more question?” “Are you okay? Why are you asking for permission? Go ahead ask.” “I know about “कन्यादान”, but will you have strength to do my “कन्यादान?” “I am a father of a daughter, bit miser about you, I won’t have strength but “कन्यादान” is biggest good deed in this whole world, and I am fortunate enough to got that deed.” “Oh really?” Sonal tried to laugh but it was emotional moment for both so her laugh turned into tears. “My daughter has a big well of tears in his forehead.” Father has tried to make her daughter laugh. “Papa, I know I have to get married and start a new life but I have one fear that haunts me.” “What fear? Tell me.” “Somehow I will control my tears and grief for drifting away from you, but when you will be bidding me farewell how will you stop your tears? I know you very well, you are not that strong.” “Yes, I won’t be able to stop my tears but you can stop me.” “Me? How?” “While you were going just give me blessing saying “खम्मा घणी papa.” These words both Sonal and her father emotional and both hugged each other and lost in the emotions. The Bride's Mother What a hustle bustle The mango leaves rustle Rushing here Rushing there The platform Scenes The outside Greens None engrossed my mind It wasn't easy to unbind To let you go at once Though I was prepared for the stance The functions started soon The Haldi fiesta at noon All were happy having fun and frolic My heart was getting completely nostalgic
Memories rushed from the bed In the hospital to tying the thread Under the Dupatta you come O dear princess,My Dame Your smile kills million hearts The eyes sparkle like many darts Loving daughter you gonna light A home and I know it right The hands intricated with designs Glow with love and binds The staircase leading to your room Reminds of you and make me gloom The pain, the loneliness, the pang The smile, the laughter as the phone rang Our talks when you were here Our tales which none'd hear
