Namibians and visitors to the country can look forward to a much-welcomed fuel price drop at one minute past midnight on Wednesday, 5 December. 95-Octane unleaded petrol drops by N$1 per liter and diesel drops by 40 cents per liter. Reckless
The owner/driver of this luxury cabriolet was spotted on Saturday at Swakopmund exposing two passengers to grave danger by allowing them to sit on the back-seat’s back-rest. Many motorists frowned upon this reckless behaviour, whilst a person expressed hope this vehicle owner will be taken to task. With the festive holiday season fast approaching it is of extreme importance that all road users adopt a responsible approach towards road safety.

Namib Times turns 60 tomorrow, 5 December 2018. The first edition of the coast’s only local newspaper hit the streets of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on the morning of 5 December 1958. The founder of the newspaper was the late Paul Louis Vincent. Paul Vincent was synonymous with the newspaper for more than 40 years. Due to ill health, Vincent sold the newspaper on 2 July 2002 to businessmen Dean Kock and Desmond Frankfort. The newspaper will tomorrow celebrate six decades of bringing you the local news.
