The Erongo Regional Council was sworn in in Swakopmund on Friday, following the recent Regional Council Elections. Swapo won six of the seven regional council seats and the United Democratic Front (UDF) one seat. Clr Hafeni Ndemula was re-elected as the regional councillor for the Walvis Bay Urban Constituency and also Regional Council Chairperson. Councillor John Nangolo was re-elected as the Walvis Bay Rural Constituency councillor and Johannes Hamutenya, as the new councillor
for Omaruru Constituency. Melania Ndjago was also elected as the new councillor for Karibib Constituency, Juuso Kambueshe for Swakopmund Constituency and Benitha Imbamba for the Arandis Constituency. Joram Kennedy !Hao-seb of the United Democratic Front was
