Four Walvis Bay residents, who were found guilty on Friday of kidnapping and assault, will know their fate in less than a month. Logan Pretorius, Sandra Riobo, Ashley Januarie and Curven Vries were found guilty in the Swakopmund regional court on Friday for the kidnapping on 30 August 2014 of three young boys to Pretorius' home in Walvis Bay's Meersig suburb. Namibia's Founding President Dr Sam Nujoma paid a courtesy visit to the port of Walvis Bay on Friday where he was briefed on latest developments. The Founding President was deeply impressed with progress made with the various port expansion projects and added the port of Walvis Bay is now a facility with an importance for the African continent and no more a port only for Namibia.
