The passenger liner Albatross was scheduled to dock at the new passenger liner terminal in the port of Walvis Bay at 07:00 this morning. The ship would have made history as the first ever passenger liner to dock at this newly completed passenger liner terminal. History will for now first be put on hold, as the Albatross must take on bunkering (supplies) and that can still only be conducted from the bulk terminal area. This accompanying front page picture was taken in January this year showing the terminal as finishing touches is put to it. In the background a passenger liner docked at the bulk terminal area, the same where Albatross will also still have to dock today.
