It seems tension between transporters, agents and shipping lines is looming, regarding the newly implemented Asycuda (Automated System for Customs Data) World, used at the Walvis Bay harbour by the Customs and Excise Department. The Asycuda World System serves as a substitute for the formerly used Asycuda ++ System. It is used

The community was shocked after the boy was attacked by Pretorius’ dogs while he walked past the residence. The gate was allegedly wide open. According to witnesses who arrived at the scene, a certain Mr Ruben van der Merwe chased the dogs away from the boy. Pretorius, not at home
at the time, was contacted. The boy was transported to a private hospital and treated for numerous bite marks on his body. Apparently a brawl broke out between the two men when Pretorius arrived at the scene. Pretorius alleged that Van der Merwe hit him behind his head. A witness living
in the same neighbourhood voi-ced her concern over their safety. “We feel unsafe. We have previously contacted the SPCA about this however they said it was the municipality’s responsibility. I knew someone would be bitten at some stage and now a boy has been bitten,” she said.
