Helicopters above Walvis Bay has residents curious......... Five helicopters were humming above Walvis Bay yesterday afternoon, prompting phone calls to the newspaper’s office. The flying machines were also spotted over Swakopmund later yesterday. namib times made inquiries to the local air traffic circles of the coast and established that these helicopters are part of a tour group of helicopter owners from South Africa travelling part of Namibia on an air-safari. The helicopters entered Namibia from Upington and landed at Keetmanshoop for refuelling and immigration control. The group then flew to Lüderitz, Sossusvlei and arrived in Swakopmund yesterday afternoon.
