Nambahu breaks new ground 100 million dollars worth of contracts for JJD Construction Leandrea Louw
The urban land development programme of Walvis Bay Town Council is now in full swing. One major contractor managed to secure the lion's share of the four urban land development tenders issued by the Walvis Bay Municipality. JJD Holdings won three of the four major contracts, worth an estimated N$100 million for the servicing of residential and business erven in Meersig, Kuisebmond and in town.
At its recent budget session Council set aside N$115 million for its urban land development programme, with the aim of reducing the backlog in affordable housing and of this amount, JJD secured contracts worth around N$100 million. At the groundbreaking ceremony, which took place at the construction site of the new housing and business property development near the corner of Hesko and Love Sphere streets in Meersig on Wednesday, the mayor explained that the Municipality of Walvis Bay recently launched its five-year See page 2
