Overview
Originating in 1984, the Harvest Classic Fun Run is a well established event, greatly anticipated by families, kids, walkers, recreational runners and competitive racers alike. The festive atmosphere, variety of race options, and post race activities culminate in an exciting event for participants and spectators, offering something for runners wanting a fast course and families seeking a fun, outdoor activity. The event is held at the Nampa Recreation Center and features a fast 8K point to point route that starts at Lake Lowell and ends at the Nampa Recreation Center, a 2 mile paved course starting and ending at the Nampa Recreation Center, utilizing the Wilson Pathway with a scenic run along Wilson Creek, and a 1 mile non-competitive route that loops around Liberty Park, designed just for fun.
Proceeds from the Harvest Classic give back to the community by supporting physical education programs in schools and providing funds for recreation program scholarships. Eight $250 awards are given to schools P.E. Departments to purchase much needed equipment. In addition to the school awards, the Harvest Classic helps fund youth recreation scholarships, enabling low income kids to participate in Nampa Parks and Recreation Department programs like swimming, basketball, softball, and more. We offer a variety of sponsor levels and packages for you to choose from. We believe one of these packages will give your company excellent exposure and complement your marketing strategies.

Once the run is over, participants and spectators can enjoy a variety of post race activities including live music, vendor booths, jump houses for the kids, and lots of food. All race participants are entered into a drawing to win great prize baskets donated by local businesses, with the drawing held during the post race awards ceremony.

Entry Fees: 8K and 2 mile- $20 ($25 after Sept 15) Group of 6-$102 (15% discount), must register together ($132 after Sept 15) 1 mile-$10 ($15 after Sept 15) Includes a t-shirt, free admission to the Nampa Rec Center on race day, race packet, and a chance to win fantastic prizes in the post-race drawings.
Late Registration: Racers registering after Sept 15 will be subject to a $5 late fee ($30 late fee for groups) and may not receive a race packet (shirt sizes limited to shirts on hand). Race Day Registration: 7-8:30am

Award Ceremony & Prize Drawing: All entrants will be entered in a random prize drawing for fabulous prizes. Must be present to win.
I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in a race and agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages or loss, regardless of severity, which I may sustain as a result of participating in such race. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participation in the race against the City of Nampa and its agents from any and all claims from injuries, damage or loss which I may have or which may accrue to me, and arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the race. I further agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the City of Nampa and its agents from any and all claims resulting from injuries, damages and losses sustained by me, arising out of, connected with, or in association with the race. In the event of any emergency, I authorize the race officials to secure from any licensed hospital, physician and /or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary for me, and agree that I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services rendered. I recognize that I may be photographed while participating in this race, and agree that the City of Nampa may use these photographs, free of charge and without notice to myself, for any promotional materials the City sees fit. I have read and fully understand the Waiver and Release of All claims and Permission to Secure Treatment.
