Food for Peeps & Pups
Food for Peeps & Pups Just a reminder that food banks need help now more than ever. Many people are facing hunger, and many also have beloved family pets. So please consider donating both people and pet food to local food pantries right away. They also need financial donations to assist during this abnormal time. A few local groups to consider helping include Gather NH located in Portsmouth and Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery. You can learn more on their websites. A gift of food could be the most important gift on your list this year, as according the NH Food Bank, one in seven Granite Staters don’t know where their next meal will come from. Kudos to Connor Carey The Animal Welfare Society (AWS) of Kennebunk recently received a donation of hand-crafted agility equipment for its Canine Behavior and Training Program. The donation was the result of an Eagle Scout service project completed by Connor Carey, 17, of Eliot. Carey reached out AWS because of his lifelong love of dogs and his desire to make a difference for pets in his community. Connor raised funds to purchase materials and oversaw the construction of the agility pieces. Kudos to Connor for his concern and contributions to canines! And kudos to the AWS for your wonderful care of animals in need. (AnimalWelfareSociety.org)
