Applique Technique: How to Iron a Straight Line Greetings. Here is a short tutorial on how to iron a straight line. I think you will find this technique works great for applique products. Peace, Robert from Nancy's Fabrics. How to Iron a Straight Line
Supplies: Smooth Tracing Wheel 1" x 12" Ruler Hard Surface Directions: 1.) With fabric right sides down on hard surface, run the smooth tracing wheel along the edge of the ruler where you want the fold to be. 2.) Score the fabric by using the smooth tracing wheel. This will not cut any fibers but makes a nice fold line for ironing.
3.) Fold at score line and press
4.) Finished pressing. Now have a "stem" ready for your next floral applique project.
You can get as small as 1/8" fold using this method. Great technique to use for those fine flower stems needed in applique. I hope you found this tutorial informative and helpful. Be sure to leave a comment if you have any suggestions. Peace, Robert from Nancy's Fabrics. Be sure to check out Nancy's Fabrics for all you quilt fabric needs. Peace, Robert From Nancy's Fabrics.
