BA (Hons) Graphic Design 2012 Yearbook Proposal Steph Bourne, Naomi Farrar, Rob Green & Robyn Makinson Page Layout
03.
The layout uses a 12 column, 12 row grid, all with 2mm gutters. This is in keeping with the theme of four, and by setting the layout to be consistent in multiples of the number, the design is not only dictated by aesthetics, but by a strict grid. Margins set at 8mm on all sides.
The layout incorporates the accent colour, which overlays the page at 90º angles, as well as flares being used through rules under type and to break up the typographical information. The colour helps to create a visual hierarchy, and to break up the page for better communication. Large scale, full bleed photographs are used to represent the concept of the biggest yeargroup.
