Black & White Concept Restaurant Design branding for Marble – a concept based restaurant featuring predominantly black and white foods, drinks & interiors, an experience rather than an eating establishment. Create full branding for the restaurant’s identity & products. The identity has been influenced by natural curves and shapes within marble, matched with the angular and sharp cuts of tiles and cut stone. A logo type and a symbolic logo have been designed to be used together or individually.
Labels have been designed for wine & waters using the logo shape for the label. Black & white plates incorporating the logo are proposed for use through the restaurant. A single sheet style menu & wine list imply a high class experience.
Vela Cosmetic Range Create a typeface for use within packaging designs for a range of high-end womens cosmetics products. The theme of the range is the astrological constellation of Vela. Focus on the design solutions for the product, and the range and distribution of it. Selected products from the Vela range of proposed cosmetics, incorporating packaging and typography designs.
Papercut invitations to announce the launch of the products to a selected client list; an evening prompting the distribution of the range from prestige outlets, as well as introducing it to the media and public.
Raven– a typeface based on ‘light’ Design a typeface based on the theme of light. Must include A-Z and the numbers 0-9. A typeface based on the theme of light, Raven combines the natural shapes and weights of bird feathers to provide a clear and delicate font for decorative use. Showcasing the font is a quote from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem ‘The Raven’.
Ink Branding, Products & Packaging Design the brand identity, products and packaging for a stationery shop, with a focus on the application & representation of colour.
Using laser cut type delivers the colour in a predefined area through the page controls the use of colour and enables a professional space on the reverse for type and information to be placed, whilst still keeping a fun and playful tone for the overall identity of the company.
The whole brand identity of the Ink shop focuses on the use of laser cutting and the way in which pattern and colour can be visible through these spaces, emphasising the use of colour, whilst the application isn’t the key design feature.
Fortuntea Branding & Packaging Design and create packaging for a product that will sell the concept of fortune to a specific audience. Resolution must be print based. Three different sets of loose tea for beginners tasseography, the art of reading tea leaves. A modern application of the Chinese tradition of reading tea leaves to predict fortunes of friends and family. Packaged in sets to suit every taste, for fun with friends after dinner. Includes a simple illustrated guide to getting started.
Alongside the fortuntea is an illustrated guide to simple symbols and how to read them. An abbreviated version of the symbol dictionary is found within the booklet, and a more comprehensive one is proposed to be available online. Content is consistent for each set, whilst colours are variable to match each palette.
