SINGLE NEWS:

iHeartMedia’s Bobby Bones, continuing to show his support for new talent, revealed the five artists who will make up his all-female “The Bobby Bones Show Class Of 2019″. Bones identified Abby Anderson, Caylee Hammack, Lauren Jenkins, Tenille Townes and Rachel Wammack as the artists he believes have what it takes to break through and become the next big thing.

Country music legend TG Sheppard honors his close friend Elvis Presley by releasing his first single in more than two decades, appropriately titled, “I Wanna Live Like Elvis.” The single comes on the heels of January 8, what would have been Elvis’ 84th birthday. Sheppard — one of Billboard’s Top 100 Country Artists of All Time — explains,

Each year, Bones rallies behind his picks, providing various opportunities and platforms to give each artist continued exposure. Past members have gone on to see noteworthy career milestones and become some of Country’s hottest acts, including Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, LANCO, Old Dominion, Maren Morris, Jon Pardi and Brothers Osborne. “I was compelled to record ‘I Wanna Live Like Elvis’ in honor of my long-time friendship with him, and because the writers were able to capture so much of his life story in just four minutes in a clever and comical way that hasn’t been done before.”

The upbeat, funky track hits on the extraordinary life and career of the one-and-only Elvis Presley, featuring witty lyrics such as “I wanna learn karate, make a movie in Hawaii” and “I wanna love my momma, lay around with ‘Cilla in silk pajamas.” “I Wanna Live Like Elvis” is the first single to be released from Sheppard’s upcoming full-length album, his first country solo album in more than two decades. SONG NEWS: Midland’s debut album has plenty of drinkin’ songs and heartbreak songs and songs about love, but they believe their music, including their latest single, “Burn Out,” can fit any mood or vibe. “The beauty about all of music and all of art really is that it is open to the interpretation of the observer and the listener,” says Mark Wystrach. “So, as Cameron was saying in an interview recently, we write music for Friday night when you’re getting ready to go out or when you’re having a great time sitting around a bonfire and singing with your best friends. And it’s also for Monday morning when you’ve got the touch of the blues and a little bit of melancholy I think it serves both sides of that and it’s open to whoever is listening to it and I guess, whatever they’re really feeling or whatever they’re going through at that time in their life.” “Burn Out” is off of Midland’s debut album, On The Rocks, and later this year they’ll release their sophomore album.
