Excitari Wellness Center, in Medford, emphasizes the importance of holistic mind, body, spirit wellness. There are packages available that give visitors the freedom to try different services that they may not have otherwise thought of trying. They provide yoga-only, yoga and service, and service-only packages, making the center a genuine place of regular retreat from daily obstacles and stresses.

“I felt moved to do this—to create a space so that people and practitioners can come in and connect and feel relaxed,” says Vidal. “I wanted to bring a variety of practitioners together under one roof in a professional space to collaborate together. A lot of practitioners struggle with space, website and office management issues—I wanted to take those obstacles out of the equation and get together as a collective for the betterment and well-being of all.”

Excitari is also expanding the educational component of the wellness center, and welcomes wellness professionals to deepen their training with workshops like sound healing training, Vedic Thai workshops, spiritual medium growth workshops and more. “We have been creating new avenues to help practitioners within and outside our wellness center delve a little bit deeper into learning and growing their knowledge and offerings,” says Vidal.

Another current core focus is the creation of exciting pro grams and events that stem from a dynamic collaboration be tween practitioners. For example, two practitioners recently came together for a Fire and Ice program, combining the heat of their infrared yoga room and Thai bodywork with the cold of the Wim Hof ice bath to create a contrast to achieve deep somatic release. “Attendees spent the afternoon in a heated room working through breathing, then going outside to the ice bath, then enjoying the benefits of Thai bodywork,” says Vidal. “We have such a special opportunity here to bring different skills together for synergetic benefits and we actively encourage practitioners to talk to each other and build unique healing experiences.”

The philosophy of Excitari Wellness Center is to address wellness not only on the physical and material level, but the en ergetic, emotional and spiritual realms as well. At Excitari, each individual is seen as unique and whole, and healing protocols are devised based on their individual needs.

PROJECT LITTLE WARRIORS BRINGS MINDFULNESS TO INNER CITY YOUTH

Project Little Warriors is a nonprofit organization that brings yoga and mindfulness to younger generations in inner city communi ties. “The inspiration comes from myself and my late partner who unfortunately passed away this time last year,” says Marialana Curry, owner of Project Little Warriors. “We founded it together, and our mission is to love all these children, and give them tools and resources for mindfulness, self-love, how to cope with trauma, and how to overcome the barriers they face or will face; especially with the mental health epidemic.”
