Reference for Athanasia Panagiotidi I am internationally trained Architect with PhD in architecture and integrated building design, environmental consultancy and management experience in UK and Europe, working for UK clients and international agencies on the variety of the projects on built environment, energy efficiency and city regeneration. In 20013/14 I was lecturing, supervising and tutoring students attending Erasmus Mundus Master Course in city regeneration at Istituto Mediterraneo del Design, Catanzaro, Italy. Athanasia Panagiotidi was a student on the course and I was asked to tutor and assess her Master work, including her main dissertation on “Cities of tomorrow. Urban Challenges: Art as a tool for urban regeneration in Magna Graecia site at Catanzaro Lido”. Athanasia was a good student, providing high quality course work. Athanasia’s Master Thesis combines scholarly research, critical analysis and good design proposal. It is well presented piece of work, showing independence of thought and articulating a clear thesis. Athanasia’s Master Thesis show detailed knowledge and careful analysis of primary texts, awareness of the relevant secondary literature and an ability to assess, assimilate and master such material. Her dissertation was presented in English and showed a good level of written English ability. She delivered her work on time and showed a high level of commitment to the course. I also have been impressed by Athanasia’s subsequent work and activities. She is very prepared to take on new challenges and is very adaptable to new situations. Athanasia is very conscientious and diligent in her approach to work and new environments. She is a pleasant person, interacting well with others. I therefore have no reservations about recommending Athanasia for a new job as I know that she can handle well multidisciplinary projects.
