The Fedrigoni stock finder presents the paper ranges in a way that makes the printers interact with the stock. The main focus is being able to touch, see and feel the stock. Through using the stock finder, printers can identify which stock is best to use and read the specification of one. In order to bring the paper ranges to life within the stock finder, paper craft has been heavily used throughout. This presents the interaction of the papers with one another and is a good way to identify which stock to use together.

Branding The branding of the the Fedrigoni stock finder is taken from the idea of saying “This is...”. To make the branding display in a more effective way I have taken the word ‘is’ out and underlined the end of ‘this’ this highlights the word ‘is’, so it still reads as “This is Fedrigoni”. The main reason in doing this was to reduce the amount of words to make a shorter phrase.

Section Branding Each section of the stock finder has been given a shape to represent it. This is related to the content of each section. This branding is used throughout the stock finder and on the swatch poster.

When in use within the stock finder, the section which is being read through is highlighted by the shape being in solid colour. The others are outlined to make fade into the background.

Fedrigoni Stock Finder The stock finder is an A5 publication that uses paper craft throughout to show the interaction of each paper range and make the decision of which stock to use in a project easier by having it there to see. The front cover communicates the same idea by having the folded stock, highlighting that this is all about the wonderfully crafted Fedrigoni papers.

Section Headings These section pages are printed on trace stock, this allows the coloured stock of the pages below to show through and add various colours to the page. The publication becomes more interactive and shows the relationship of the pages and stock working together.
Stock Finder Pages Each page each section is cut to the shape which represents it, this firstly makes it more interesting for the user, but mainly allows the stock to interact with other and shows how the stocks can be used together within a project.

Purpose of Packaging The Fedrigoni Stock Finder is to be distributed to printer across the country, so robust packaging is needed to protect the publication. Along with this it needs to communicate the same ideas as the publication, giving the user a glimpse of what will be inside. Lastly the stock finder can be stored in the packaging, to keep it in pristine condition.
Design of Packaging On the front of the packaging, paper craft has been used to show the interaction of the stock in the shapes of the each section. The label provides the needed information about the package, with the Fedrigoni branding along the front and side. The packaging is closed by wrapping string around the circular fasteners. Once the packaging is opened the user is greeted with a dust cover, this again has the Fedrigoni branding on it and provides extra protection for the publication.

Fedrigoni Swatch Poster This is an extension to the Stock Finder and can be adapted to any of the Fedrigoni ranges. It uses the paper from each range, which has the poster design laser cut into it. Each layer has the different shapes cut out to make the each stock show through to the front. This would be be printed to a large scale and would allow printers to see each stock at a large scale. Once a stock has been chose, you can simply rip it off the poster and take it with you, but the poster can still be used as every layer has the same design cut into it.
