Some crystals to work with to boost mood, build confidence, support healing and to invite in more joy and abundance: Botswana Agate, Bumblebee Jasper, Carnelian, Jade, Kyanite, Moonstone, Pink Aventurine and Sunstone. Shungite: Shungite is a C60 molecule that contains naturally occurring antioxidants called fullerenes. Shungite detoxifies, balances the chakras and transmutes negative energy into usable positive energy. It also protects against EMFs.
Finding Contentment through Spiritual Tools by Christy Abate

here are times when we feel buoyant. It’s as if our feet are skimming the ground and our arms are wings. Then there are those days—the dark ones. Our peripheral vision narrows, and even the vibrant colors of nature wear a grey cloak. Living to always strive for happiness can be as exhausting as living in sadness. What if we flipped the script on the whole “choose happiness” movement and focused on being content? The last 18 months have been a living example of tarot’s Hanged Man. This card invites us to look at a situation from a different perspective. This altered perspective offers us growth, strength, empowerment and dare we say, it offers us an opportunity to extend grace to ourselves. In biology, homeostasis is described as a state of relative stable equilibrium. The body is constantly adjusting the biochemical and physiological pathways to maintain this healthy state. What if we applied this concept to our spiritual practice? What if
we treated our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies with as much minute care and detail as our internal elements monitor our glucose, blood oxygen and body temperature? What if we focused on being content instead of happy? When we are content, we feel calmer, we speak kinder and we heal ourselves, others and the planet. There are myriad opportunities in our spiritual practice to temper one etheric body and bring our whole aura back into homeostasis. Here are some favorite tools to keep in our spiritual toolboxes. What’s one change we can make today? Crystals: Crystals have organized lattice structures. They are one of the most consistent and orderly creations of nature. Each crystal belongs to one of the seven crystal systems (or is amorphic) and has its own unique spiritual essence. Crystals can support, assist and/or transmute energy. We can have an alchemic relationship with them.
Essential Oils: Inhaling essential oils stimulates our olfactory system. This system taps into the limbic system, the part of our brain that processes and regulates our emotions. Some oils to support homeostasis are basil, cedar, frankincense, lavender and rosemary. Tuning Forks, Singing Bowls and Chimes: Sound therapy can calm the central nervous system, taking us from feelings of fight or flight or to a state of rest and digest. Sound therapy is a type of meditation. Tuning forks used on pressure or acupuncture points can release nitric oxide. Try using bowls and tuning forks tuned to C and G, with a body tuner of 136.1 OM.
How about we focus on being content? When we are content, we are balanced. Even small adjustments and acknowledgements mimic our body’s own natural process of homeostasis. Sometimes we don’t need to reinvent the wheel, we just need to return to ourselves. Christy Abate is the co-owner of The Angel Cooperative, 51 Ethan Allen Hwy, Ridgefield.
