Add Your Knots Add your knots. Twist your hair all the way down the shaft. Hold the base in place with your other hand. When the hair begins to coil on its own, direct the hair around itself in a spiral motion as the hair build upwards . Tuck the ends underneath the knot to secure.

TIPS
Tip #1 Don’t use any product except a small dallop of heat protectant while blowdrying for gorgeous bouncy locks‌
the downside? Frizz comes easy, so use for short stints out in dry heat without wind.
Tip #2 This is an ideal look for when your heat style is reverting or you’re transitioning out of a perm.
Tip #3 Double check (in the mirror and by feeling around) that all the knots have been unwound. I’ve had many a embarrassing moments day in the beginning because I skipped this step!
Tip #4 Use your fingertips to messy up any accidental hard parts. When the wind blows it’s not cute to see scalp. The goal is to provide the illusion that your hair grows this way, not that you labored over It.
Tip #5 Make sure each bantu knot extends into the air for a consistent curl pattern.
Tip #6 Wear this style for a week at a time, then let your hair rest. Unless you keep it knotted all day, this is
NOT a protective style.
If you wear it too often your ends will split from the friction.

FAQ’S
Q. Can I bantu knot my straight, permed hair?
Answer: Absolutely! You will get more of a wave than a spiral curl. Try using a holding spray or setting lotion combined with the bonnet dryer method to set the curls.
Q. I’m have caucasian hair, will bantu knots work for me?
Answer: Yes. You will need to use a setting lotion, mousse or gel before twisting. Use the wet set method and sit under a heat source to dry. The curls will likely be wavy as opposed to spirals depending on the texture of your hair.
