We were said to document the Office building which acted as an Interface between the factory and the Outer space.to make that transition more powerful we were said to redisgn the space in such a way it acts as a good Transition Space which leads public to the Factory. Terracotta is used in the building industry as tiles, panels, roofing and other elements.Given its qualities of Heat and Climate resistance, strength, longevity and eco sustainable and the ease of manufacturing, terracotta is not only a popular choice even today, but in future.....

This street had public buildings like markets and residential units. This street has less traffic compared to the other street.the road acts a transition between the temporary structures and permanent structures. The same way manapaarai mattu sandhai had no boundry for the existing organisation.it is that flexible that public get adopted to the organisation on their own.that is one of the main feature of mattu sandhai.
This street was very intresting because it had total contrast on either sides.this street has temporary structures towards its left and to contrast it had permanent structureslike commercial buildings towards its right. This street is a kind of a very busy street,as it connects manapaarai bus stand and the railway station.

MANAPPARAI was a sort of “no-man’s land” between Chola,Chera and other kingdoms. This shows that this piece of land was a place of open negotiation. It is a place where many paths met, where no-one was on any other’s territory, where talks and deals could be made without hesitation and fear of capture. In the old days this also must have been accompanied with stories of distant lands, catching up with news of other countries and faraway places; perhaps the nights were filled withen-chanting stories and enacted events to enlighten, entertain, delight, disgust and alert eachother. Today the scene is different. Information is everywhere, the country is independent. The Land is leased from the city of Manapparai by private contractors. The buyers, sellers and agents are only performers on someone else’s stage.Yet, they provide an invaluable source of income to the town- both through their own transactions as well as the businesses that thrive on ventures related to the market. Now, the market itself is in danger of being extinguished. No person participating in this activity has any authority to question this inevitable fate. If slaughter is banned, the market is likely to close. If in the coming few generations all the farmers sons and daughters, having studied in school and college, do not want to take up farming, then the survival of the market is in question. If the town of Manapparai grows and this land becomes more valuable, then another everyday activity with more revenue may replace this one. Their culture must be CONSERVEDwhere we could see many things emotionally bonded within, and there comes a thought on how can we conserve this beautiful event.
