We’d Like a Few Minutes of Your Time
The Park District has launched Moving Forward 2026, a communitybased planning process. We want to know what you think about our parks, programs and facilities—and ways to improve them—to help develop a Comprehensive Master Plan that will guide the District for 10 years.
The planning process will combine comments from residents with an analysis of our facilities and programs. We want to establish priorities and make decisions based on your needs.
The Park District will collect feedback until January 6 through a paper questionnaire, available at the Senior Center and Registration Offices, and an online discussion portal at nbparks.org.
Ten minutes of your time can help shape the future of recreation in Northbrook! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

New Supervisor Spotlight
Do you have a story to share? Contact our office.
Hello, Everyone!
I’m excited to join the Northbrook Park District as the new Senior Center Supervisor and eager to meet all of you. I’m a graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. I have spent most of my professional career providing recreation opportunities to people with disabilities, and my passion is making recreation as accessible as possible. As I join the team in Northbrook, I look forward to enhancing the programs that you already enjoy and introducing new activities to invigorate your bodies and your minds.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I come from a tight-knit family that often can be heard laughing. My boyfriend, Evan, is a K9 police officer, and we have a Belgian Malinois, named Bane. The breed, also called a Belgian Shepherd Dog, is known for protecting people. Bane is sharp and focused at work but enjoys being a playful pet at home. We continue to learn from each other every day, which is fun.
Please stop by to say hello and tell me a little about yourself. I am looking forward to our time together and want to help provide the programs and services that are important to you.
Volunteer Opportunities
We invite you to volunteer at the Senior Center and help set up and decorate our rooms for events and luncheons. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, and we appreciate your help. If you’re interested, stop by the office or call Evelyn at 847·291·2988.

Talk with Tiffany New Senior Center Manager
You probably have seen me around the Leisure Center; I’ve worked for the Northbrook Park District for more than six years. I’m a Leisure Services Supervisor and now manage your wonderful Senior Center. While Evelyn is in charge of day-to-day activities, such as classes, drop-in programs and services, I will handle administrative responsibilities, including memberships, sponsorships, and department growth and development. We believe that there is much room for growth in senior programming! I also oversee all fitness programs at the Park District—for all ages.
I am a Western Illinois University graduate (Go Leathernecks!) and live in Schaumburg with my husband, Albert, and our two beautiful children, McKiah (3) and Blaze (1). I’m a small town girl, born and raised in Ellisville, Illinois—a farming community with a population of 80, located along the Spoon River. Growing up, my favorite memories include: playing Canasta, hunting for mushrooms, fishing, playing sports and taking family vacations.
These days, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and photography. I am a huge Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks fan. I’m also a St. Louis Cardinals fan, so I hope that Cubs fans and I still can be friends. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and I love a good story, so make sure you stop and chat when you see me in the halls.
