Program Spotlight – Sewing and Crafts
Mondays from 10am-2pm
Have you checked out the items in the glass cases near the Senior Center Office? With a constant rotation of seasonal inventory, these handmade creations from our Sewing and Crafts Group are ideal for home decor or gifts. A talented group of women, led by Janet Brady, tries to offer something for everyone. As Diana Schneeberger explains, Janet is the driving force of the group. “She will come in with new ideas and magazine clippings of things she thinks we can do, and we work together to make them.” Members try to align their products with current trends and holidays, to keep popular items well stocked. This drop-in group welcomes new members looking for a creative outlet and can answer your questions about crafting. Come craft with us!

Tiffany Greene Senior Center Manager
Talk with Tiffany
Hello! I have enjoyed getting to know many of you. “Tea at The Drake” was my first trip, and I look forward to joining another group for The King and I in May. I have tried to pop into most programs and will continue to make the rounds in spring. (I also am responsible for all fitness programming.) You can stop by the front desk and ask for Tiffany, if you would like to chat about new ideas for programs. My kids just turned 4 and 2 and keep me busy, outside of work. McKiah enjoys her dance class, and Blaze takes sports class. We recently enjoyed a trip to the Brookfield Zoo, and are planning a trip to the Wisconsin Dells this summer. If you have any suggestions or favorite spots, please share them with me.
I am very happy that you have welcomed me into the Senior Center family. I look forward to getting to know more of you. I hope that you enjoy spring and summer and the activities we have planned for you.
Tiffany We Are Family!
We like to think of the Northbrook Senior Center as a second home and its members an extended family. To celebrate our great collection of members, we invite you to contribute to the new "We Are Family" bulletin board located within the Leisure Center.
We will display your accomplishments, family news, vacation photos, funny anecdotes, etc. Drop off your labeled contributions at the Senior Center Office. The submissions will be reviewed and posted, if approved. Contributions will be returned if labeled with your name. Questions? Contact the Senior Center Office at 847·291·2988.
Don’t Let This One Get Away!
Let Big Fish reel you in with a warm, humorous and entertaining story about a charismatic traveling salesman. This comedy/drama is a larger-than-life story. Join us at the Northbrook Theatre for a community musical with a big cast and a big heart.

June 10 and 11 at 7pm
June 12 at 2pm
Tickets: $16 in advance at the Northbrook Theatre Box Office $18 at nbparks.org, by phone and day-of-performance
