Our Shows
Field trips to our theatre allow students to experience diverse, educational and entertaining, productions that reinforce classroom curriculum, while fostering an understanding of and appreciation for theatre arts. Group sales must include 15 or more students.
Ages 4–10 Across the Sand: A Passover Theatrical Experience

Across the Sand transports audience members to Ancient Egypt for an interactive retelling of the Passover story complete with live music. Audiences will bring to life the basket floating down the Nile, become sheep in a grassy field, discover the burning bush, and experience the crossing of the Red Sea. The intimate production will take place on the Northbrook Theatre stage with a limited number of interactive table seats for children.

Wake Up, Brother Bear! is a unique, intimate production geared toward children ages 6 and under. Watch Brother Bear and Sister Bear experience a full year of glorious seasons complete with butterflies, fish, and bees! And who better than Brother Bear and Sister Bear to help see out the waning months of your family’s hibernation. Children are invited to join the action to help create magical moments.

It’s not easy being the Pigeon – you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Featuring an innovative mix of songs and feathers, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is sure to get everyone’s wings flapping.

Wilbur and all his fellow naked mole rats in the Tunnel have always been, well... naked. Wondering what other possibilities are out there, Wilbur discovers a love for clothing and style. When word of his new passion turns the Tunnel upside down, he proves to everyone that there’s no need to be just like everyone else. A special lesson and rock show all in one, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed has energetic songs, quirky characters, and a story unlike any other.

What accessible theatre accommodations are available at Northbrook Theatre?
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is available at the south side of the Northbrook Park District Leisure Center directly outside Northbrook Theatre. The accessible parking area is within a short sidewalk distance from the theatre entrance doors.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating is available in the first row of our theatre in all sections for those who require seating on the ground level. If you are using a wheelchair, we remove the existing seat in the front row to allow for a more spacious viewing experience.
Priority Seating
If you prefer to be seated prior to general seating, check-in with the house manager when you arrive.
Assisted Listening Devices
Assisted listening devices are available free of charge, on a firstcome-first-served basis at the Box Office for any performance. When you arrive, visit the Box Office to request your device.
Large Print Programs
Large-print programs are available to download prior to the performance date and available the day of the performance at the Box Office.
Social Story
A social story to help prepare you and your students to attend a performance at our theatre is available on our website.
