The Dambwa North Community park sponsored by the Danville/ Sycamore & Monarch Beach CA USA Rotary Clubs has a concrete
fence 2 meters high (80”) demarcating the correct boundary. A hearing last month to block the injunction & finish the park was taken under advisement & was to rule on August 27. As of today there has been no ruling. As we wait for justice kids wait for their park. Soon we can start again and finish. Because of the two years of delays the original grant money has been devalued & there are no funds for play equipment & picnic benches, Any Club or individual that would like to underwrite a slide, swing, monkey bars, picnic table or soccer or basketball standards please contact Rotary Volunteer Bob. Because of local & International Rotarians in Sweden, Australia, Zambia & the USA; kids in Livingstone are going to get a park one day soon. I hope. Progress on the Copper
jewelry making project and a new design for Rotary shirts in 2012 are slowly moving to fruition.
New grants are needed for District 9210’s beginning of a new round of “Water for Education” program in both Zambia & Zimbabwe. Clubs are needed to sponsor wells for $5.000 or more. Clean Water & sanitation increase the life expectancy by 70% in the first 5 years. Please join in and sponsor a bore hole Contact Bob (USA) (949)887-3266, e-mail: rdselinger@aol.com. Back in USA Sept. 10 Your Club can help build bridges with Rotary.
