Wheelchair Distribution Begins in Zambia
Greetings from Arizona,USA till 4/13 Pictures are beginninhg to come in showing wheelchairs being handed over to handicapped recipients. Incoming Livingstone President, Paula Van Zandt, hands over 3 to elderly Monzi residents. This is the first means of transport they have known. Wheelbarrows, carts & crawling were the only way these folks could get around, Note the special mountain bike tires for the sandy soil. More photos next time. I need your help to get to Africa. The Rotary Miles Program is in a reconstitution phase at this time & cannot match my miles to go to in April to Africa until new protocols are instituted.. I, Rotarians & friends/family have deposited 40,000 United Miles to the Rotary account. I need another 40,000 miles so I can get a ticket for 80,000 from United plus taxes to work on the park, water, education, women’s empowerment & wheelchair Projects that are on going and attend the District Conference in Ndola.
