Jim has always had an affinity for the ocean and teaching. During the 1960’s he taught SCUBA diving on a part time basis and was at Catalina almost every weekend during that time. Over the years with IBM, Simplex, Lexmark and now the Ocean Institute, Jim has been involved in mentoring students, encouraging them to seek their passion and go for it. Jim has been involved in many organizations such as Boy Scouts, Elks and Masons. He joined Rotary eight years ago and feels Rotary International is the most effective philanthropic organization going. Jim was President of the San Clemente Sunrise Rotary, has been an Assistant Governor for the past two years and joined eClub of the West July 1st.
