Last Meeting Notes Pres Bob called meeting at 12:30 Invocation: Keith Nelson Pledge: Tim Shields 4-Way Test: Steve Hammers Song of the Day: Scott Jackson led a special rendition of “Smile” Introduction Visiting Rotarians & Friends by Ron Hodge: Dave Hutchins, John Hilbin, Eileen Murphy; Rotaractors Richard, Luca and Juan. Announcements: - Golf Tournament scheduled for Mon July 15th at Oak Creek golf course. Committee meets at the NPB Country Club. Art has Save Date card ready to go. - UCI Rotaract Club hosted a professional development event on April 24th. A great success. - President Bob’s demotion party scheduled Jun 27. Bring guests! Fine Master: Blanca levied “Joke Fines” on Tim, Ken, Sanjay, Scott, Singh and Cecil. Guest Speaker: President Bob introduced Gary Konecene and Fong Lee from Disabled Sports USA. Gary is a Rotarian from the Newport Balboa Club who also volunteers as a ski coach and guide for disabled skiers. Every month during ski season the group takes disabled athletes to Mammoth Montain for three days of skiing and fun. Mammoth donates the lift tickets .Skiers include wheel chair bound students, amputees, blind skiers and autistic students. Fong provided

Thursday, May 9th Bo Glover, Exec Director ENC Environmental Nature Center
Bo began in 1991as a volunteer trail builder and habitat restorer, but soon became a Naturalist presenting educational programs to students. He published ENC Magazine 1994-1995 and became Executive Director of ENC in 1995. He is past President of the Association of Nature Center Administrators (ANCA) serving on its Board 2001-2010. He is past President of the California Society for Ecological Restoration. Bo has served on the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation Grants Allocation Committee and also chairman of the City of Newport Beach Castaways an overview of the special Park Advisory Committee from. equipment he uses for skiing, He currently serves on the Bard of Directors of and showed a video of him racing down the hill. Jim Bisque washed down with his Parsons, Carol & Ed Smith, Singh Sawhney, Shamila favorite wine selection. Mustafa[eClub West], Cecil Hess & Guy Harden. UCI Rotaract Pres. Hardeep Singh was recognized for her success and elected as the new 2013-14 District 5320 Rotaract Governor at the Saturday luncheon event.
