Don’t miss. - June 14th- Norm Witt will be recognized for 20+ year service as sponsor for NIRC’s Boy Scout Troop at Daily Pilot’s “Hall of Fame” luncheon: American Legion Hall in Newport Beach. -At District 5320 Conference NIRC received two Recognition Awards: 2nd Place for Best Club Website and 3rd for Best Club Newsletter. Congratulations for both awards go to Guy Harden, assisted by Bill Zeller for professionalism, creativity, and commitment. - Career Night for Olive Crest was a great success due to the efforts of NIRC vocational speakers Cecil Hess, Bailey Smith, Uzo Okereke, Guy Harden, and Danny Garcia.

Guest Speaker: Bo Glover is Executive Director of the 3.5 acre Environmental Nature Center located at 1601 16th Street in Newport Beach. ENC focuses on bringing nature and science education to PRE-K thru Middle School students and venue for Scout Programs. ENC operates the only Butterfly House in Orange County, home to Monarch, Morning Cloak and California Dogface butterflies. The Center has 15 native California communities, wildlife habitats, and walking trails for social science education programs. - Dave Halm, Reporter
