Last Meeting Notes President Bob Fish called order early at 12:15 p.m. to add time for Margaret Richardson’s 39th birthday. Kerk Lesh offered a thoughtful invocation while Cecil Hess took pictures in the absence of our usual photographer, Guy Harden. Tim Shields was drafted to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Pres Bob noted Tim arrived late even though he promised to take meeting minutes. Our Assistant Governor led the four-way test and Ron Hodge introduced the numerous visiting Rotarians and guests. Rotarian visitors included Joe Brown & “prior” Rotarians Ruly Membrila & Karen Shahinian. Special guests included Margaret Richardson’s niece Allison and husband, Scott. Another niece, Carol, attended with her friend, Kelly. It was wonderful to see Eleanor Ramsay again, as well as Margaret’s friends from Bank of America, Masuda and Linda. Jerry Rekers’ wife, Kay, joined us along with Len Fullmer’s wife, Peg. The President and PR Officer of UCI Rotaract Club, Hardeep and Richard, also joined the celebration. Rounding out special guests was Steve Hammers’ appearance. Art Kleinpell gave a golf tournament update, showing a well-developed website & fundraising schedule. President Bob reminded all that his demotion party will be held on Thursday, June 27 and that UCI Rotaract Club is hosting a comedy night May 23 at 7:00 pm

We are privileged to have Dr. Aisha Simjee as our speaker this week. She has led an incredible life of overcoming obstacles and service to others. She is a practicing ophthalmologist in Orange who was selected as 2010 Physician of the Year by the Orange County Medical Association.
