Committee meetingThursday at 4 pm. - President Bob’s demotion party is scheduled June 27th. Bring guests and sign up! - Daily Pilot Hall of Fame Luncheon Friday, June 14th. Norm Witt will be honored. Unfortunately, Norm will not be able to attend. - Bob Sellinger presented 5 banners he collected recently from his make-ups at clubs around the world. He also provided an update on his great work in Africa. The 4th version of his “Rotary shirt” is now available [check photo for an example] He has delivered over 800 wheel chairs to needy Africans and 300 more are on the way. He is also in the process of raising $500K to support the education of poor children in Zambia Africa. More news will follow.. - University High School juniors Jessica and Jake gave an update on their “amazing” Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Camp experience in May. Their camp attendance was
Wendy Harder was appointed the first Director of Community Relations for Soka University of America’s Aliso Viejo campus in January 1998. Wendy came to Soka University after 14 years with Mission Viejo Company, where she served as VP marketing and corporate affairs. Prior to joining Mission Viejo Co, Harder was an anchor, producer and reporter with KOCE-TV (PBS) for six years. Wendy holds an MBA from Pepperdine and a BA in Communications from USC. She has received the Radio & TV News Association’s Golden Mike supported by NIRC. They Award, the Protos for Special Events from the learned new leadership and teambuilding skills, made new Public Relations Society of America, and the Best Release award from the Orange County friends and had a great time.
