“The Sea so Deep, The Mount so High” By: Jonathan Dingus In the sea so deep, where not a noise will peep, it was sung Those waters cold and black, the rejoice came echoing back Every creature of the blue, came to see the good and new On the mount so high, in the heaven and sky, it was sung Upon the ice strewn peaks, where no man seeks, it beckoned to the birds of day and the bats of the night so black, they all came singing back On the plains so wide where many a man shall stride The notes then played and joy then laid, upon the kings, there it sings, of the Savior born and greatness adorned So those kings went, for they had been sent, By that Holy Star, by the light they traveled far. They got to a stable, lacking chair, bed or table Yet in a bed of hay, the Savior there lay The child of God, on that bed of sod brought joy to the night As dark turned to light, Angels sung of the sound that rung through the sea so deep, across the plains so wide and o’er the mount so high
