Welcome to the 2023 Fall Activities Guide!
We are thrilled to welcome back students for the 2023-24 school year! After nearly three decades in education, this will be my first time starting a school year as superintendent. This also coincides with our Collier County Public Schools Centennial, celebrating 100 years since our school district was formed in 1923. I could not be more inspired to lead our A-rated district where I attended elementary, middle, and high school.
We are continuing to welcome more and more families to our beautiful community, and school enrollment is approximately 50,000 students across our public school campuses this year. As our families begin to familiarize themselves with the area, our CCPS Activities Guide, produced in partnership with Neapolitan Family Magazine, is sure to be a great resource.
The CCPS Activities Guide is a one-stop shop for out-of-school activities for students and families. Here you will find information on sports, music, tutoring, art classes, and so much more. I am confident that the information in the following pages will be beneficial to you and your family.
As we begin the school year, please know that your involvement with your child(ren)’s education will go a long way in determining success. Researchers have long pointed to parental involvement as a key component that transcends nearly all other factors. I invite you to volunteer at school, attend performances and competitions, chaperone a field trip, and/or get involved with your school’s Parent Teacher Association, Parent Teacher Organization, booster club, or School Advisory Council.
