s we all know, hard work pays off, but the big pay out is having a great team around you to help you build an empire. Whether it’s in family, business or friendship, to have a happy, positive hard working people in your corner is the most important thing one who is working day in and day out, to get to the top, can ask for of others. When you have a “Debbie Downer” or a “Negative Nancy,” constantly around, they diminish your positive energy, which is so important to have instilled with in yourself and the people around you, otherwise, you risk hindering your creative ability. In interviewing so many so many successful celebrities and business owners, as well as having phenomenal mentors, the best advice they leave me with is to make sure the team you work with on a

AROUND THE BLOCK: ATLANTA’S THAI AND SUSHI
Their wait staff is undeniably friendly and attentive. If you’re not looking for the best sushi in town, this is your place, hands down! Their rainbow rolls are beautifully arranged, the bowl of Duck Curry is superb, the fried spring rolls are exceptional and their Pad Prik King and Drunken Noodles are on serious demand.
When entering Thai and Sushi in the East Atlanta Village
also known as TNS, you may feel a romantic dinner vibe because of the dim lighting and candles, however it is actually a great place for family, friends, co-worker gatherings, etc.! It’s more relaxing, with a dim lights and a few flat screen television’s, but paired with the artsy styled interior and a full service bar, it keeps the vibe alive! Their recently added comfortable sized seating area, with a full wall projector screen pairs great for sports enthusiasts, as well as private parties.

EVOS: A SERIOUSLY HEALTHY OPTION ALL OF THIS IS LESS THEN 500 CALORIES!!!
After working on Wall Street for over fifteen years, David Esmie decided he wanted to spend more time with his family and soon realized that there was no options for healthy places for them to eat. He created a “test” kitchen at home, where he tried producing foods, similar to those offered at other well known fast food chains, burgers, french fries, milkshakes, but there was a difference with his recipes, a significant difference, it was healthy. Esmie used healthy oils, wheat flour and meats with no hormones. He soon stumbled upon the emerging restaurant chain, Evos, which used the same concept as his own and began to do the needed research to open his own branch here in Atlanta. Today, Esmie is the proud to have opened his own branch in Sandy Springs, Georgia and would like everyone to know “there is access to healthy food with a kid friendly environment in Atlanta.” Conveniently located a few miles from the metro area, Evos has made its stamp in Sandy Springs, becoming a top pick for mom’s and their children. When walking into the restaurant, you get a sense that it’s a children’s oasis, with coloring book cut-outs hanging on the walls alongside potraits of family and friends of Evos. The menu includes chicken, veggie and traditional burgers, all of which are organic. They carry special air baked french fries with a delicious line of ketchup, also known as, “karma ketchup,” with garlic cayenne and mesquite flavors. Finally, be prepared to be blown alway if you have room to top your meal off with one of their flavorful, all-natural smoothies. Evos also offers catering and happily accepts large take out orders!
Go to evos.com for more nutritional information...prepare to be shoked!
And while we didn’t think that this could get any better, it absolutely does with “Free Food Sundays” for all children! Bon a petite!

BIZZY B // LOVE & RELATIONSHIPS her head. A woman always likes a man who has a big heart and ready to share and care.
WHAT WOMEN HATE ABOUT MEN By “The Juan and Only”
T
he connection between a man and woman has always been a love-hate relationship. Though this is much a deliberated topic, I will bring about certain points which women definitely find “annoying” in a man. We know for sure that a woman never likes a man who is weak or shoes too much interested in her initially. Though women publicly admit that they like men who are strong, secretly they like a man on whom she can wield a certain amount of power. Well, for all the men reading this article, the Maxwell song, This Women’s Work is we would love to define her. NO matter what men will always enjoy the company of a woman. It is also likely (majority of the times) that a woman would not like a person who would show insensitivity towards her feelings. This is a mistake that many men make and women do no t like this attitude from them. There are many other factors that women generally do not like in men, such as, arrogance, liars, submissive behavior, etc. Never, ever, show a woman that you have a weak character. This is another of the traits that women dislike in a man. It is a mistake that many men make by making a woman feel that he is ready to fall at her feet. Contrary to a man’s thinking, that a woman would appreciate it, women get annoyed with men who are too submissive and ready to do anything for her. This does not mean that a woman does not want a sensitive man who is open about his feelings, but it does mean that a woman still wants a man to be his own person, think for himself and claim what he wants from a relationship. A woman’s relationship with a man is very delicate and she looks for strong shoulder to rest
And then there’s the “self-centered man” -- rarely loved by a women and more often than not, will crave for female company. Men, you are setting yourself up for failure, if you show unjustified interest in other women when you are with a woman. This is conduct that women dislike and will definitely put her off. Scheming attitude is something that women dislike in a man. The male brain is highly specialized, using specific parts of one hemisphere or the other to accomplish specific tasks. The female brain is more diffused and utilizes significant portions of both hemispheres for a variety of tasks. Men are able to focus on narrow issues and block out unrelated information and distractions. Women naturally see everyday things from a broader, “big-picture” vantage point. Men can narrowly focus their brains on specific tasks or activities for long periods of time with out tiring. Women are better equipped to divide their attention among multiple activities or tasks. Men are able to separate information, stimulus, emotions, relationships, etc. into separate compartments in their brains, women tend to link everything together. Men see individual issues with parts of their brain, while women look at the holistic or multiple issues with their entire brain (both hemispheres). Men want sex. Women want relationships. Men have as much as twenty times more testosterone in their systems then women. This makes men typically more narrowly focused , which is typically not the case with women. All of a women’s sense are, in some respects, more finely tuned than those of a man. Men want flesh, women want love. Just as boys have always wanted fast cars and baseballs, the girls have always wanted contact, communication and company. The female mind is organized to place priority on relationships, the male on achievement. Men keep a tally of their sexual conquests. The female brain is not organized to keep sex in a separate compartment. This is a male model, as if his brain has a specific filing cabinet for sex, completely unrelated to emotion. Conclusion: men often act with the intention of impressing a woman, but unfortunately, as I explained in the first part of this article, we are often misguided as to what kind of behavior we think women like; thus, our actions don’t always yield the results we hoped for. It’s too common that men get blamed for all of the emotional and mechanical errors when it comes to women. Can you blame us? Of all the nightmarish memories and scars we’ve been afflicted for years and years? No human being is perfect. There are some bad habits which every human being is indulging in. But these habits should never be out of the limits.

BIZZY B // MUSIC
H
ardy is definitely living the hip hop dream in full circle. He is definitely a familiar face and a sound that most hip hop followers would be able to recognize. Coming from the streets of Harlem where some of the greatest hip hop artists have come from, such as Cameron, Mase and the late Big L, just to name a few. Harlem is also known for successful artists making it BIG! Hardy has definitely experienced a taste of some of that particular “magic” that the Harlem area brings to artists. In 2002 Hardy was a part of the music group, the “Untouchables,” founded by BENZINO (primarily known as the former owner of The Source Magazine, current owner of Hip Hop Weekly Magazine and currently, can be seen on one of the top television reality shows, Love and Hip Hop of Atlanta. While being a part of the group with artists, L O and the late Huddy 6, the “Untouchables” were truly living up to their group name; their music videos were blowing up the charts on every hip hop channel, such as, BET, Rap City and Uncut. They were also appearing in videos with other well known artists, one in particular, .Lil’ John. While the group ending up splitting up, Hardy still holds a great spotlight within the hip hop world. He has been working with Hip Hop Weekly Magazine and is on the verge of coming back as a solo artist with the top “DJ Holiday,” hosting his new mix soundtracks. Let’s get to know this mastermind a little bit more!
BIZZY B //MUSIC
HARDY Hardy, that’s great that Benzino (aka
“Zino”) and you have a brother hood, are you two still close and working together after all of these years
>> Yes, he is my big brother. Zino is a great guy, and when leaving the group I was facing some trouble and Z offered me a great position with the magazine. That’s great to have someone as successful as him on your team. How was it to work with the late HUD6? He is a Harlem legend, I know he had a funeral as big as the late Big L, and was very much loved and respected in Harlem--he has a mural on the wall that is about a block away from the Big L mural? >> Man, Huddy is my brother! He is one of the most amazing people I have EVER met! He taught me a lot about the music business, he was there for me when no one else was. Working with him was an experience I will never forget. I have a tattoo of my brother, H6 on me for life. Yes, I visit his mural every time I go home. When you go home, where is “home”? >> I’m in Miami now. I’ve been here for some years now, but you know Harlem will always be my home. I love Miami, that’s living! How is it with working with the top hip hop magazine and being friends with so many artists? Would you say it’s helpful for your new project or do you keep your music separate from friendship? >> Well I have been in and around the music game for a long time. Hip hop is round like the world, when the sun is shining on side, it’s dark on the other. You just have to make good music that’s real and I know that. But, it is nice that if I did need advice I have a lot of people I can go to that’s on top now, or used to be on top. Working with the magazine is definitely beneficial for me, I’m all around blessed. Let’s talk about your new mixtape. It's hosted by DJ Holiday, I LOVED it! When I checked it out I was blown away by how many thousands of viewers your video pulled in, that number was crazy! >> Yes, I’m very thankful for my fans. I can say that the support is there for me. My mix tape is called, “The Introduction,” that’ is what is hosted by Holiday. I’m just re-introducing myself. Well you have done a great job! Where can people go to get your new mix-tape “The Introduction?” >> It can be downloaded at PIFF.COM/HROCKTHEINTRODUCTION AND YOU TUBE, HROC 140 To keep up with Harlem’s own, Hardy, catch him on Twitter at @HROC_DMG and Facebook at facebook.com/hrocdopemusicgroup. Or you can email him at harlemrichoffcrims@gmail.com

1. the hot radio personality in Atlanta 2. famously known as, “the voice in the streets” INTERVIEW BY NIA LAZARD
For eight years now, Beestroh, who seems to always be on the hustle within today’s music industry, as a radio personality, host
and DJ, considers himself to be laid back, humble, yet an overachiever. He grew up in Holy Oak, Massachusetts (about an hour away from Boston), where the streets became a bad influence on himself, as well as his peers. As a result, he had to pay the consequences, and quickly realized it wasn’t the life he wanted to live. While he wasn’t enrolled in the university at the time, he happened to stumble upon a local college radio station that he soon enough “took over.” He found an extreme passion for radio and music and soon ventured into rapping. Spending a lot of time on his craft, he ended up signing to Electro records. He knew that he wanted to delve deeper into the music industry, and knew that moving to Atlanta was just the way to do it. Once he landed in ATL, he knew that music was going to be a major part of his life. Back in 2006, when the hit single, “Laffy Taffy,” by D4L hit the streets, “that was all anyone was talking about,” he says, and it made it extremely hard to break into the industry with his “up north” music style varying from the “down south” style, he soon learned that this wasn’t going to be easy. Sticking to his passion, he remained persistent, he kept getting rap beats for his music, which would soon open doors. In his thrive for music, he met a man named Rob McDowell, who tossed him beats from time to time and introduced him to radio personality of Hot 107.9, Emperor Searcy. Beestroh had a great rapport with Emperor Searcy and quickly applied to become an intern for his show. But, it wasn’t that easy. Unfortunately, the show required that all interns are to be enrolled in a college and use the internship to obtain credits toward their major, so Beestroh enrolled in a local college to secure the internship that he so wanted. He began his journey in radio learning the ins and outs of the game. He says, “the industry is like hustling, so I’ve taken what I’ve learned in the streets to the radio industry.” Of course the internship was not paid, so he fulfilled a position at a local public storage company to stay afloat. He says that he “got made fun of for working at a public storage company while I was trying to hustle in the radio business, but it didn’t matter, I knew I had to do what I had to do to get to what I have today.” Growing a name in the halls of Hot 107.9, the production directors started using his voice for commercials. This, helping to break the silence and allowing others to hear the powerful voice underneath a humbled personality. Soon after, he was receiving compliments on a daily basis about his voice in the commercials. It didn’t stop there! Beestroh had to build a brand in the streets as well.
He began to work harder for what he now realized he wanted, he started attending the clubs and hosting special events. Though the station was great, there was no room for him within the Atlanta cluster of radio personalities. The station soon offered him an opportunity at their sister station in Augusta, GA. He accepted the offer and landed his first full time gig. Beestroh recalls that, “working in Augusta was very slow, but I broke a lot of records.” This allowed him to build solid relationships with various artists within the industry, relationships that he still maintains to this day (Gorilla Zoe and Young Jeezy just to name a couple). After conquering Augusta as a “big fish in a little pond,” he decided it was time to head back to the “big pond” where the original dream began, Atlanta. He moved back to ATL to fulfill the Saturday overnight position on Hot 107.9. Beestroh knew he had earned his stripes after moving to Augusta, “many artists commended me for being in the Augusta market and coming back to ATL.” He was so successful in the overnight position, that the Program Director moved him up to what he does today, Saturday and Sundays, 2-6:00 p.m.

BIZZY B // FEATURE
Beestroh now runs his own company, doing voice overs for all different stations and businesses all
over the country. You can find him at numerous clubs throughout the city, doing what has become his stamp in the market, hosting live remotes. To give back to the community, he frequently visits children in prison to encourage them and explain what they can achieve in their lives. Beestroh, you are obviously a man who knows what he wants and how to climb to the top. Is radio your final career destination, are or there plans for something else? B: I currently use my other creative side by writing an article for ‘Frequency Magazine’ every month. I also wouldn’t mind branching off into acting and animation to land a voice over gig on the big screen. So we have to ask, everyone wants to know, are your glasses just a symbol of your brand or are you just that cool? B: No, it’s not a fad or I’m not trying to be cool, I actually need them to see! We know you love hip hop, how is the music scene in the south different from the north? What are you riding to write now? B: Well, music has been a constant positive approach throughout my life. I love and respect all music, but the voice of hip hop to me will always be that voice up north, which I do to keep in play while I’m on the radio. And right now, I’m riding to some Notorious B.I.G, but if I flip the disk, you’ll find the Fugees and Nas. Being someone who is on air at some of the hottest clubs in Atlanta and being around celebrities all the time, how are you with your fans? B: I’m a very approachable guy, even when I do VIP, most of the time, you can just find me chilin’ at the bar, doing me. Lastly, what makes you a BIZZY B?
