MORNING CALM Morning Calm- The Line and Color of Korea, and the Beautiful Harmony of Korean “Morning Calm” is a Korean-style kitchen filled with the return to the past, reemergence of tradition and nostalgia of childhood. It is planning to capture the eyes of people throughout the world by containing the natural charm and universal beauty. The Korean traditional beautiful lines and fine sense of color have been reproduced with modern sense while the aesthetic abundance is delivered through Korean sensitivity by the harmony of calligraphy door applying Korean writing pattern, the painting that brings out the traditional sense of color and the hood that brings out the appearance of white porcelain. The tall unit and island unit were produced by getting motive from the eaves of Korean-style houses and the fine lines of Korean costumes containing the traditional sentiment of our country. A change is given to the rectangular door line so that the line engraved inward worktop naturally performs the role of a handle.
고향의 봄 - 한국의 선과 색, 그리고 한글의 아름다운 하모니 “고향의 봄”은 과거로의 회귀, 전통의 재현, 유년 시절의 향수를 담고 있는 한 스타일(韓 Style)의 주방으로 자연의 미와 보편적인 아름다움을 담았습니다. 한국고유의 아름다운 선과 고운 색감이 모던한 감각으로 재현되었으며, 한글 패턴을 적용한 캘리그라피 도어와 전통적인 색감을 띈 단청, 백자의 모양을 띈 후드를 조화시켜 한국적인 감성을 통해 심미적 풍요로움을 전해줍니다. 아일 랜드 카운터와 키큰장은 우리나라 전통적인 정서를 내포하고 있는 한옥의 처마, 한복의 고운 선에서 모티브를 얻어 제작되었으며 사각형의 도어 라인에 변화를 주었습니다. 특히 아일랜드에서 도어 안쪽으로 파인 선이 자연스럽게 손잡이 역할을 해줍니다.

The decorative effect was maximized by placing the painted pole that has reinterpreted the traditional beauty by boldly opening one side of the Tall Unit and Ik-gong (a bird wing model positioned at the top of pole) that was widely used by upper class houses of Joseon Dynasty. The painting forms harmony with surrounding interior by arranging the pastel tone color which seems to have peeled off one layer from the traditional sense of color and grants the traditional beauty of Korea also to the people throughout the world. It has blown in vitality by showing the contrast of exquisite color with sliced veneer shelves. 키큰장 한 켠을 과감하게 오픈하여 전통의 미를 현대적으로 재해석한 단청 기둥과 조선시대 상류주택에 많이 사용되었던 익공(기둥상부에 위치한 새날개 모형)을 배치함으로써 장식적인 효과를 극대화시켰습니다. 단청은 전통적인 색감에서 한 겹 벗겨낸 듯한 파스텔톤의 컬러를 배열, 주변 인테 리어와 조화를 이루며 세계인들에게도 한국 고유의‘美’를 선사합니다.
The ‘calligraphy glass door’ that has engraved the Korean writing pattern with the chemical etching technique is applied at the surface of white matt door to illustrate the luxuriousness of the writing getting appeared and disappeared depending on the lighting and the angle of vision. This has applied as Korean writing pattern through the collaboration with Kugdang Cho, SeongJu who is a calligrapher and seal engraver. 키큰장의 화이트 매트 도어 표면에는 한글 패턴을 화학적 엣칭 기법으로 새긴‘캘리그라피 글라스 도어’를 포인트로 적용하여, 조명과 보는 각도에 따라 글씨가 나타나고 사라지는 고급스러움을 연출해줍니다. 이는 서예가이자 전각가인 국당 조성주 작가와의 콜라보레이션을 통해 한글 패턴으로 적용하였습니다.

The ‘Family Island’ which is formed separately from the Island is worthy of attention. This enables movement according to the taste of user with the feature of enabling various illustration of space using furniture arrangement and assembling. It can also extend the cooking area to become wider and able to raise the intimacy among family members as it enables customized organization depending on situation such as a home bar to enjoy mixed drinks, a desk to guide the study of children or utilizing as a father’s library. 아일랜드와는 별도로 구성된‘패밀리 아일랜드’는사용자 취향에 따른 이동이 가능하며 가구배치와 조립으로 다양한 공간연출이 가능한 것이 특징입니다. 또한 조리공간을 더 넓게 확장해 주기도 하고, 칵테일을 즐길 수 있는 홈바나, 아이의 학습을 지도하는 책상, 아빠의 서재로 활용하는 등 상황에 맞게 맞춤식 구성이 가능해 가족과의 친밀감을 높여줍니다.
If you open one door of Tall Unit, there is a built-in oven installed and a magnetic board is built in at the inner side of the door to concentrate on maximizing the user convenience up to the places that are not seen. It was made to attach memos using magnet to be useful for referring to a recipe or in case of having to take notes in a hurry. 키큰장 한쪽 도어를 열면, 빌트인 오븐이 내장되어 있고, 도어 안쪽 면에는 마그네틱 보드를 내장하여 보이지 않는 곳까지 사용자의 편의를 극대화 시키는 데에 주력하였습니다. 자석을 이용하여 메모를 부착 하도록 제작 되어 레시피를 참고하거나 급히 메모가 필요한 경우 유용하게 사용됩니다.

This open bookshelf named Kitchenbrary by combining kitchen and small library has shown the beauty of tension with the harmony of thin aluminum steel plate and the wooden material that has sense of thickness. It is the key factor of ‘a living centered multi-purpose space with family’ as it plays the role of a bridge connecting the kitchen and the living room. It also has an effect of making the space look wider and also is effective for illustrating library with the collection of various kinds of books. 주방과 작은 도서관을 결합해 키친브러리(Kitchenbrary)라 명명한 오픈 책장은 얇은 알루미늄 스틸판과 두께감 있는 목재의 조화로 긴장감의 미를 나타내었습니다. 주방과 거실을 잇는 가교 역할로 '가족과 함께하는 생활 중심형 다목적 공간'의 핵심 요소로, 공간을 더 넓게 보이는 효과를 가지며, 다양한 책의 수납으로 서재연출 에도 효과적입니다.

WALKING ON THE CLOUD Walking on the Cloud - My Unique Nature Encountered within Downtown This kitchen named “Walking on the Cloud” uses the ‘beauty of nature’ which reminds us of the nature within downtown as its concept. A brief design forms the center with the ‘encounter of planes and lines’ which couldn’t be found in the past while the cloud shaped handle which was also used for Korean-style houses has been formed at the Tall Dresser and Island to reinterpret the traditional beauty in a modern way. The ‘Walking on the Cloud’ harboring nature uses the island of dreamlike atmosphere as if floating in the air along with two colors of avocado green and olive green that can be often encountered in nature step-by-step to present mental stability and aesthetic beauty.
구름 위의 산책 - 도심속에서 만나는 나만의 자연 “구름 위의 산책”의 가장 큰 컨셉은 도심 속의 자연을 구연한 내츄럴 함입니다. 기존에 찾아볼 수 없었던‘면과 선의 만남’으로 간결한 디자인이 중심을 이루고, 키큰장과 아일랜드에는 한옥에도 사용되었던 구름모양의 손잡이를 구성하여 전통의 미(美)를 현대적으로 재해석하였습니다. 공중에 떠있는 듯한 몽환적 분위기의 아일랜드와, 자연 속에서 많이 접할 수 있는 아보카도그린과 올리브 그린 두 컬러를 단계적으로 사용하여 심리적 안정감과 미학적 아름다움을 선사합니다.

The Island Counter of ‘Walking on the Cloud’ was manufactured using a pavilion floating on a lake or above water as motive. The beauty and tension as if an island is floating in the air presents an extraordinary delight to the viewer due to the effect of floor getting reflect using baseboard of mirror material and middle post. It is neat by being made up of high glossy top board and artificial marble. 아일랜드는 올리브 그린 컬러의 하이그로시상판과 화이트 인조대리석으로 구성되어 깔끔 하면서도 신선한 느낌을 줍니다. 하부에는 미러소재의 걸레받이와 중간포스트를 사용, 바닥이 반사되는 효과로 인해 아일랜드가 공중에 떠있는 듯 한 아름다움과 긴장감이 보는 이로 하여금 색다른 즐거움을 선사합니다.

The ‘Hidden Zone’ buried in the Island cooking space has solved the problem of ventilation and storage which is one of greatest worries by housewives. It has installed the downward ventilation type hood activated just by simple touch and a storage rack (storage of spice box) moving updown to provide an effective work environment by minimizing the line of flow 아일랜드 조리공간에 매입된‘히든 존’은 주부들의 가장 큰 고민 중 하나인 환기와 수납문제를 해결하였습니다. 간단한 터치만으로 작동되는 하향 배기식 후드와 업-다운 되는 수납장(양념통 수납)을 설치, 동선을 최소화하여 효율적인 작업환경을 제공합니다.
The door handle connected to the top plate of Island and Tall dresser was conceived from the shape of Gungchang (cloud shaped window) which was also adopted in traditional Korean-style houses to reorganize the traditional beauty of Korea in a modern way. It has gained motive from the eaves of Korean-style houses to be designed by projecting the edge of bottom and sides to complete a handle which looks beautiful and feels comfortable holding by picking out the cloud symbol at the center. It was also applied to the open/close door handle of the top board of Island to present the beauty and convenience of new unique detail which could not be encountered in modern kitchens until now. 아일랜드 상판과 키큰장에 연결되어 있는 도어 손잡이는 전통한옥에도 도입이 되었던 궁창(구름모양의 창) 모양에서 착안, 우리나라 고유의 아름다움을 현대 적으로 재구성하였습니다. 이 구름모양의 손잡이는 키큰장에서 도어를 타고 흐르는 가는 엣지면과 아일랜드 상판의 여닫이 도어 손잡이에 적용되어 사용 자로 하여금 일전에 만나볼 수 없었던 새로운 편의와 독특한 디테일을 선보입 니다.

This has applied the unique ‘storage manager’ concept of Nefs to take care of the worries on the unique kitchen storage of Korea where the change of four seasons and eastern/western food culture are mixed together. The bowls of various sizes can be stored by having difference of height and the efficiency of space was raised using withdrawal type drawers. It also separates food stuffs stored in areas other than the refrigerator systematically to propose a more efficient use of space. 넵스만의‘수납 매니저’컨셉을 적용하여 사계절의 변화와 동서양 식문화가 혼재된 한국만의 주방 수납에 대한 고민을 해결하여 줍니다. 높이 차를 두어 다양한 사이즈의 그릇을 수납할 수 있고, 인출식서랍을 이용하여 공간의 효율 성을 높였습니다. 또한 냉장고 외의 공간에 보관하는 식료품을 체계적으로 분리해주어 더욱 효율적인 공간 사용을 제안합니다.

GARDEN OF MONET Garden of Monet - Beautiful Encounter of East and West through Flower The “Garden of Monet” expressed with Korean style ‘Flower Marquetry Technique’ by pressing the oriental bridal wreath in a modern kitchen shows the essence of cross-over design of the east and the west. The time in the kitchen becomes more relaxing with the encased TV in charge of ‘entertainment’ function in the kitchen, the moving zone transforming from sofa to work table and the ‘storage manager’ that has added convenience of storage. The natural oak design wood and fumigation design wood naturally form a harmony.
모네의 정원 - 꽃을 통한 동양과 서양의 아름다운 만남 모던한 주방에 동양의 조팝꽃을 압화하여 한국적인‘꽃 상감 기법’으로 표현한 “모네의 정원”은 동서양의 크로스 오버(cross-over) 디자인의 진수를 보여줍니다. 주방의‘엔터테인먼트’기능을 담당하는 매입형 TV와, 소파에서 작업대로 변신하는 무빙존(moving zone), 수납의 편리함이 더해진‘수납 매니저’로 주방에서의 시간이 더욱 여유로워집니다. 내추럴 오크 무늬목과 훈증 무늬목 이 자연스럽게 조화를 이룹니다.

The ‘flower inlay technique’ of inlaying on the surface of furniture that has gone through engraving and painting of pressed flower shows the peak of high end kitchen by being completed with fastidious manual process. After inlaying, it was painted again and performed waterproof treatment for convenient usage. 압화한 꽃을 조각과 도장을 거친 가구의 표면에 다시 상감하는‘꽃 상감 기법’은 까다로운 수작업 공정으로 완성되어 하이엔드 주방의 절정을 보여줍니다. 상감 후에는 사용하기 편리 하도록 다시 도장하여 방수 처리를 하였습니다.

It is in charge of information center or entertainment function as you can watch new while having meals or cooking and enjoy games or movies by enabling 180 degree rotation. 리모트 컨트롤 기능으로 쉽게 인출되는 TV가 상판 아래에 매입되어 있습니다. 180도 회전이 가능하여 식사나 요리 중에 뉴스를 시청하거나 게임이나 영화를 즐길 수 있어 주방 안의 인포 메이션 센터 혹은 엔터테인먼트 기능을 담당합니다.

The efficiency of space was raised using withdrawing type drawer that has stored the bowls of various sizes by having height difference and the wine rack helps to enable top to bottom storage. 키큰장에는‘수납 매니저’를 적용하여 사계절의 변화와 동서양 식문화가 혼재된 한국만의 주방 수납에 대한 고민을 해결하여 줍니다. 높이 차를 두어 다양한 사이즈의 그릇을 수납한 인출식 서랍과, 상하 수납을 가능하게 도와주는 와인랙을 이용하여 공 간의 효율성을 높였습니다.

A super lightweight concrete panel which is a new material completed by Nefs with independent technology is attempted for the first time as kitchen furniture at the island counter to present moderate and refined design. 아일랜드 카운터에는 넵스가 독자적인 기술로 완성한 신소재인 초경량 콘크리트 판넬이 처음으로 주방가구에 시도되어 절제되고 세련된 디자인을 선사합니다.
The sliding table prepared at one side of island counter illustrates the exclusive ‘Mom’s Office’ of Nefs. The table can be withdrawn to the end so it can be used as table, tea table or small study while giving unification sense of space by producing as fumigated oak design wood which is same as the storage. 아일랜드 카운터 한 켠에 마련된 슬라이딩 테이블은 넵스 만의 ‘맘스 오피스’를 연출합니다. 테이블을 끝까지 인출하여 식탁 이나 티 테이블, 작은 서재로 활용 가능하며, 수납장과 동일한 훈증 오크 무늬목으로 제작하여 공간의 통일감을 줍니다.

The ‘storage manager’ of Nefs activated by remote control makes kitchen even brighter by hiding with moving tray while hiding tableware and small home appliances under the tabula at the same time. The one side of tray was finished with natural hard wood to be used as cutting board. 리모트 컨트롤로 작동하는 넵스의‘수납 매니저’가 식기와 소형 가전을 상판 아래로 숨기는 동시에 무빙 트레이로 감추어 주방을 더욱 환하게 만들어줍니다. 트레이의 한쪽 면은 내추럴 원목으로 마감하여 도마로 활용이 가능합니다.

The Multi-Purpose space that can be transformed from desk to bed is a space that becomes the key in ‘my story’. It is convenient as the position of placed articles is maintained as it is in the process of changing from desk to bed while maximizing the satisfaction of users with irregularity of introducing a resting area called bed in the kitchen. 데스크에서 침대로 변신이 가능한 Multi-Purpose 공간은‘나의 이야기’에서 핵심이 되는 공간입니다. 데스크에서 침대로 바뀌는 과정에서 올려둔 물건의 위치가 그대로 유지되어 편리하며, 주방에 침대라는 휴식 공간을 도입하는 파격으로 사용자의 만족감을 극대화하였습니다.
At the ‘kitchen inside kitchen’, it is no inferior to one kitchen by containing the functions of kitchen that are absolutely necessary for small space such as sink bowl, cook top, sliding drawers and simple table, etc. It is designed as pocket door of hiding the door inward to present a minimal kitchen. ‘주방 안의 주방’에는 싱크볼과 쿡탑, 슬라이딩 서랍과 간이 식탁 등 작은 공간에 꼭 필요한 주방 기능을 고스란히 담아 하나의 주방으로 손색이 없습니다. 도어를 안쪽으로 감추는 포켓 도어로 설계되어 미니멀한 주방을 선사합니다.

SPRING OF SOSEWON Spring of Sosewon - Nostalgia towards nature and tradition “Spring of Sosewon” features Korean traditional design elements such as narrow porch, sliding door and window in plaid pattern in pursuit of “well-being” and “Lohas” lifestyle for spiritual comfort and connection with nature. The name “Spring of Sosewon” refers to a garden and forest in Damyang created during the Joseon dynasty and conveys the image of all life form awakening to the arrival of Spring.
소쇄원의 봄 - 자연과 한스타일에 대한 향수 한국 고유의 툇마루와 미닫이 문, 격자무늬 창 등 한국의 Identity를 담은“소쇄 원의 봄”은“웰빙(Well-being)”과“로하스(Lohas)”등 정신적인 안정과 자연과의 교감을 추구하는 미래형 주방입니다. 자연과 인공을 조화시킨 조선시대 정원인 전남 담양의 소쇄원에서 이름을 따온“소쇄원의 봄”은 만물이 소생하는 봄의 설렘을 담고 있습니다.

MEDITERRANEAN WIND Mediterranean Wind - A “Digi-log” kitchen for communication and peace “Mediterranean Wind” is inspired by the Mediterranean sea that was the center of European civilization as well as nature and wind to stimulate one’s imagination. A modern digital kitchen with electronic kitchen appliances, automated system and LED lighting with analog features through the use of natural materials such as white birch to create a “Digi-log” kitchen that combines the best of both digital and analog world.
