East-West Animal Hospital - Your Other Family Doctor By Alexis Selby For the past year East-West Animal Hospital (EWAH), located in the Tropical Village Plaza on Hwy. 41 in Lutz, has been providing exceptional veterinary care that combines traditional Western veterinary medicine with Eastern veterinary medicine and healing philosophies. By incorporating these two methods of practice EWAH is able to care for your pet in the safest, most effective way possible, utilizing both ancient means of healing such as herbal remedies, massage and acupuncture, as well as more modern methods including vaccinations and medications. “The combination [of
these methods] really maximizes what we can do for your pet,” states Adriana Odachowski, DVM, partner and coowner of EWAH alongside Linda Register, DVM, CVA. “We make a very good team and by providing both Eastern and Western approaches, we bring a new dimension to veterinary care.” Dr. Register and Dr. Odachowski provide state-of-the-art veterinary services for dogs, cats, all domesticated birds, pocket pets, domesticated lizards and snakes. They are both very well-versed in all aspects of veterinary medicine and their passion for animals amalgamated with their extensive knowledge and years of experience in
the field ensures that each pet will be treated with both love and superior, quality care. Dr. Register, a native Floridian, graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1996. Upon graduation, she went into a private animal day/emergency practice, where she remained for two years. For the next eleven years, until she opened EWAH, Dr. Register provided relief veterinary services for the Tampa Bay Area.
