Attack Fat at Every Angle and Workout Smarter, Not Harder at Vibe Fit Club By Julie Kanehl It’s amazing when you think about it, just how much we are influenced by the constant changes and advancements that science and technology bring us day by day, and year by year. What did your computer look like a decade ago? How fast was it? What about your cell phone? How has that changed? It’s night and day, right? Think about how far medicine has come, and how we are able to vaccinate for diseases, and treat everything from wrinkles to cancer. Why, then, are we still working out the same old repetitive way? Exercise is more than a pastime, a hobby or a fad, it’s a necessary part of our lives, with benefits that by far outweigh the many excuses we give ourselves to forego and skip. One of the most prevalent of these excuses is time. “I don’t have time to work out.” Well, what if there was a local fitness club that captured all of the latest technology, backed it with the latest approved scientific research, installed some of the most advanced training

equipment ever seen, and staffed it with certified trainers who could help provide workouts that are shorter in duration, but impact your body for the most amount of time? Does it sound too good to be true? It’s not anymore! Vibe Fit Club has just opened its newer, larger location at 13529 Prestige Place, just off of W. Hillsborough Avenue behind Lowes, and it offers all of these things and more. Vibe Fit Club’s Founders and owners, Theresa DePasquale and Julie Barnhardt, have a passion for fitness that inspired them to provide this new concept to the people in our area. Completely unlike the “big box” clubs out there, they consider Vibe Fit Club to be a “boutique fitness club.”
The Vibe Fit Concept Vibe Fit Club is based on an entirely different philosophy than your typical gym. Instead of putting out equipment for you to use in an opengym environment and leaving you there, Vibe Fit is a class-based club that provides staff-guided Acceleration
Training classes on technologically advanced workout equipment, like the Power Plate™ and the VersaClimber™. All of this equipment combines science and technology to help create the most advanced workouts available. One member from Palm Harbor says, “I was 190 pounds – yuck. I switched to Vibe in February 2011. I weighed about 170 pounds when I first started. From when I first joined to now, I have lost about 25 pounds. I’m now around, 145. I went from a size 13 to a size 6!” According to an interview with Power Plate International President, Mark de Gorter, Acceleration Training was originally developed by the Soviets as a way to help train their astronauts in the 1960’s who had a problem with muscle atrophy while in space. As a result of using this kind of training, their Cosmonauts were able to stay in space nearly four times as long as our American astronauts at the time. It’s no wonder this sounds like science fiction! The key is that it isn’t. It’s a very real, safe, and even affordable way to work the

Theresa says, “This workout is the way our bodies were designed to move, and that’s why our clients get such amazing results.”
The Vibe Fit Experience Theresa says, “The Vibe Fit Experience is a high intensity workout that is
short in duration. Our workouts put our clients into a state of metabolic shock so that they’re burning fat and calories for up to 40 hours after the workout has ended. Our workout is not high impact, but it does the work of a typical 1 ½ hour workout, in one 20 minute session.” The Vibe Fit Experience is more than access to their state-of-the-art equipment. Each client is treated to a Vibe Nutrition Program that is personalized to their needs. This helps them

pair the importance of eating healthy while maintaining an active lifestyle. Each client also receives free personal training and instruction on their unique workout method. Additionally, they are given a completely personalized training program, which they call their Phase Training Program. It’s the perfect name for a program that can very literally transform your body. “We are hands-on,” says Theresa. “There is always a trainer here to help correct your form and to keep you focused on your goals. You can lose up to 3% in a week or two with the Vibe Method.” Their most popular program is called the VFX, which is month-tomonth group training program, which is a fraction of the cost of what a personal trainer would cost. The classes are small, 12 people at maximum, and the trainers are on-hand to motivate you, correct your form, and inspire you.
Attack Fat at Every Angle Vibe Fit Club is determined to fight fat at every angle, and if you are one of the many who have “tried everything”, then it’s definitely time to try their MetabolX fat loss program. The MetabolX program was developed by Dr. Vincent DePasquale to uncover the hidden fat blocks in each client’s metabolism. The staff at Vibe Fit does a small series of organic acid and hormone testing, and they send it to a medical lab. When the tests come back, they are able to truly help you see what your body needs as far as supplements, vitamins, and minerals. DePasquale says, “We fix your broken metabolism! The program is amazing because when your metabolism is working properly, it is 57% more efficient at burning fat.” The Vibe Fit experience is tailormade for each client and is completely different than anything else out there. The first workout is always free, and their staff walks you through each exercise, step by step, finding the right workout for your body, your needs, and
your personal goals. In addition, they also look at what your body needs from a nutritional and supplemental standpoint, providing you with the resources, tools and supplements that you may need. Holding your hand the entire time, you’ll find that your fitness goals truly can be reached, whatever your current fitness level and no matter how much you need to lose. Make your workout smarter, not harder, and reach your fitness goals at Vibe Fit Club in Oldsmar. Kim B., a Vibe Fit member writes, “After losing 60 pounds right out of high school, I hit a plateau that lasted about 8 months. I thought I would never get over the hump. Then I discovered Vibe Fit Club and their amazing Power Plate technology! My wonderful trainer, Moses, and the rest of the Vibe team showed me how easy it was to fit a 20 minute workout into my very busy schedule. 20 minutes, 3 times a week and another 40 pounds and 4 pants sizes! Best of all – I feel better and healthier. I can actually feel my metabolism increasing and I shock myself with how strong I have gotten. I love Vibe Fit Club; not only have they provided me with the tools I need to reach my goals, but they are always there to offer support and motivation when I need it. I can’t wait to see what my future at Vibe has in store for me!” Want to see for yourself? Vibe Fit Club is holding its Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 30th from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Vibe Fit Personal Trainers will be on staff to show everyone what makes their fitness club so unique. Vibe Fit Club is located at 13529 Prestige Place in Tampa on the Oldsmar/Tampa border behind Lowes. There is also a satellite studio located in Tampa at 408 N. Howard Avenue. Beautify Your Yard with Citrus Park Landscape, Nursery & Produce By Marcy Sanford You don’t usually find a petting zoo located in a plant nursery, but Citrus Park Landscape, Nursery and Produce has just that – in addition to hundreds of Florida grown plants, and a wide selection of farm fresh produce, they also have Gertrude the goat and Charlotte the pig, as well as Peking ducks, Genie hens, chickens, and dogs for the kids (and grownups) to pet. Located at the corner of Gunn Highway and South Mobley Road, there are two convenient entrances to this paradise of plants. One is located
at 8334 Gunn Highway and the other at 8848 South Mobley. Owner Carol Spurr developed her love of plants from her grandmother’s side and has years of knowledge and expertise about what will survive in Tampa’s climate. Running the nursery with the help of her experienced crew, Carol and her staff take the time to listen to their customers’ needs and help them to find plants, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and trees that will flourish and bloom. When you’re ready to spruce up your yard, the friendly staff at Citrus Park Nursery will take the time to find out what you like and the characteristics of your yard, to better determine what plants would work best for your lifestyle. When helping you decide, they take into consideration the colors you like, how many plants you want, how much time you want to spend gardening and maintaining your yard, and most importantly – your budget. This ensures that you get the yard you want and based upon the amount of work you are willing to spend to keep it manicured and looking great. To get the most in-depth advice, you can visit Citrus Park Landscape Nursery and Produce with photos and measurements of your yard and information about light conditions, or, if you prefer, someone will come to your home to give you a free estimate. the “Cocktail Tree”, you’ll find it all here. Citrus Park Landscape Nursery and Produce also has a large selection of vegetable, herb, and fruit plants and can help you find special request items such as low acid tomatoes or plums that will grow in Florida. If you have a small back yard, their earth boxes are the perfect solution to growing your own fruits and veggies. This innovative, efficient growing system allows you to grow plants in a box that gives them the exact amount of water and fertilizer as needed. The compact boxes can easily fit in to small yards or even patios.
Produce Market The crew at Citrus Park Landscape Nursery and Produce saw that there was a need for a farm fresh produce market in the area. So, a few years ago, they added a 1700 square foot market where they sell fresh fruits and vegetables and delicious, fresh boiled peanuts. Every few days, they visit a local farmers’ market to hand select fruits and vegetables. Over the past few years, the crew has gotten to know the produce farmers, so they know exactly where the produce is coming from, guaranteeing that it is always fresh and the best quality available. The produce prices at Citrus Park Landscape Nursery and Produce are significantly less than you’ll

Rent-a-Plant If you have a special occasion like a wedding or party coming up, Citrus Park Landscape Nursery and Produce can help you with the decorations. They have a large selection of lovely plants that they rent out to help make your occasion beautiful.
