By Julie Kanehl If you have a child or know of a child who has been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia or one of the many types of autism, you are not alone. While the cause is still up for hot debate, Neurobehavioral/Developmental disorders like these are on the rise, and parents are desperate to find help for their children. The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Oldsmar, located at 4022 Tampa Road, is designed to help children who have been labeled with or who exhibit signs of ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, Tourette’s, learning disabilities or processing disorders. As the statistics for such conditions have grown exponentially over the last two decades, many parents have been given very little hope that their children will ever be able to grow properly and learn to succeed. Brain Balance is a center dedicated to creating a place for children with these conditions, and is focused on individually helping them to succeed beyond the label, without medication, and with
proven results. The program is based on Dr. Robert J. Melillo’s research on neurobehavioral disorders. Dr. Melillo, who is a worldrenowned neurologist, professor and author, believes that all of these conditions, which were previously thought to be unrelated, are in fact related, and can be grouped into what is called Functional Disconnection Syndrome.
