By Julie Kanehl A portrait is more than a picture. It’s a work of art that wraps up someone you love and holds them in a moment in time. Portraits can be moving, dramatic, formal, contemporary, funny

or even romantic. Choosing a photographer to take your portrait is an important choice, because you are essentially choosing an artist to capture that moment in time. Getting a portrait that really shows the spirit of the subject takes more than a digital cam-

East Lake Area Neighborhood News

Announcing New Contact Information From The Editor Kim Thomas Thanks to our readers and our advertisers we have enjoyed tremendous growth here at Neighborhood News & Lifestyles and along with that growth have come upgrades to our website and email system. We cherish the emails and letters we receive from readers and depend upon the information we receive to keep our news briefs interesting and the community calendar up-to-date. With four publications, each with two email addresses – one for ads and one for editorial content – we decided to simplify things for ourselves and our readers and advertisers. Plus a recent problem with Yahoo underscored the need for a change. However, that problem did warm our hearts because of the great outpouring of support and concern that came from advertisers. We’d like to share what happened simply to warn others about possible email hacking. Our General Manager Jim O’Reilly has a great relationship with our advertisers, many of whom he has worked with for about eight years, and when his email account was

hacked and an email went out to his entire address book indicating that he was stuck in a foreign country and his personal effects and travel documents had been stolen, including his passport and identification, and that he needed assistance. It looked like it was sent from him but it was not. This email was sent out at 5:42 a.m. I saw it when I first woke up and at first thought that Jim was playing a joke on me, but when I saw the time it was sent I knew better. Even with his great sense of humor, I knew he wouldn’t be playing any jokes that early! I called Jim around 7 a.m. to let him know and he had already received numerous emails from concerned clients offering to help him. Jim couldn’t believe how many people reached out to him. This really drove home a couple of points to us. First, we have a fantastic, caring community and clientele. And, second, we needed to implement a more secure communication. If this ever happens to you, the first thing to do is change your password. To keep your account safe, it is recommended to change your pass-

Email, Website, and Story Submissions The editorial email that we are now using for editorial submissions such as press releases, calendar events and community-related stories is: editorialdept@neighborhoodnewsfl.com. For advertising information and ad submissions, email: info@neighborhoodnewsfl.com. You can also submit stories for consideration and calendar items directly to us via our website, www.neighborhoodnewsfl.com. Once you are on the website, click on the area you are interested in and it will bring up the publication for your area. In the lower left corner, you will see three tabs: Submit a Story, Advertising Info and Contact Us. Jim O’Reilly would like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who offered to help him. Hopefully, he will never be in a real situation like that but if he is, I’m certain he could turn to his family for help rather than our clients. It is nice to know you care, though! We look forward to hearing from you.

ELHS Silver Sound Marching Band The East Lake High School Silver Sound Marching Band is off to a great start. Band camp was a huge success. The band is expanding under the direction of Mr. John Fulton. With that expansion, there are some equipment needs that can’t be met with their current budget. Concerned East Lake Resident Warns About Interfering with Wildlife Last month we shared Barb Schultz’s story of the wildlife rescue of a fawn that was seemingly abandoned

4

in her backyard. We urge residents to never handle an abandoned animal such as a fawn because it may cause the mother to reject it. Instead, if ever faced with a possible wildlife rescue situation, please call on local animal rescue experts for advice. After the August issue of Neighborhood News & Lifestyles delivered to residents in East Lake, we received an email from East Lake residents Greg and Chris Owens, who were concerned that after reading the article people may act too hastily in trying to save wildlife when it may not be necessary. Mrs. Schultz didn’t interfere with the fawn herself, but rather called The Suncoast Animal League to get instructions on what to do. The fawn was alone for a minimum of 10 hours and rescuers felt that it was in danger of dehydration. Though we trust that Mrs. Schultz and the Suncoast Animal League made the right decision, after reading Mr. Owens’ email, we felt it important to reiterate the importance

of not interfering with wildlife and leaving rescue to experts. Mr. and Mrs. Owens live in Crescent Oaks with property that backs up to a conservation area. “We've observed the habits of deer for 18 years,” says Mr. Owens. “During last month’s heavy rains/flooding we encountered a similar situation, but which concluded with better results. We observed a doe with two of the smallest fawns we had ever seen (the size of chihuhaua pups!). “The doe and one fawn walked through the yard, but the other snuggled up against a tree trunk for protection and stayed there for 12 hours! I babysat that little guy all day checking every half-hour. After about 6 hours we did some research and learned that the does will leave the young in burrows for as long as 12 hours. We realized that the flooding had made the burrows in the woods unusable. The mother came back almost exactly at 10 p.m. and collected her young one. We continue to see them growing up quite frequently.” He warns, “I believe this fawn was unnecessarily taken from her herd, and would appreciate if you would advise folks not to be too hasty when interfering with the wildlife.”

Haunted Fire House Mixes Fun with an Important Reminder East Lake Fire Rescue will once again feature its Haunted Fire House as a community outreach program to highlight the dangers of distracted driving and is currently seeking volunteers. The firefighters in the Department are holding this event for the second straight year, featuring the ‘Don’t Text and Drive’ theme. “The response from the 3,400 visitors in 2011 was fantastic and this year’s 2012 Haunted Fire House promises to be even bigger and better,” said East Lake’s District Chief Bill Edling, the event’s chief architect. East Lake’s Assistant Fire Chief, Tom May warns, “Recent statistics certainly demonstrate the need for community awareness of the dangers of texting and driving. In 2010, over 3,000 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver and over 400,000 were injured. In the month of June 2011 alone, more than 196 billion text messages were sent or received in the United States, up nearly 50% from June 2009, so the danger is increasing.” The East Lake Haunted Fire House will be held on Friday and Sat-

urday evenings in October. It is located at East Lake Fire Rescue Station 57, at 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd. The hours are from 7-10 p.m. A donation of $5 is requested, benefiting the East Lake Firefighters’ Good and Welfare fund. Guests should plan to park at the nearby Lansbrook Golf Club on Village Center Drive off of East Lake Road, since there is no parking available at Station 57 during the event. Shuttle service to the Haunted Fire House is complimentary. The Haunted Fire House is a 4,000-sq.-ft., walk-through, dark attraction filled with terrifying live actors, creatures and amazing special effects. The Haunted Fire House is a highly intensive scare. Actors are well trained in safety and make guests feel a part of the action. Although there are emergency exits, once guests enter, there is no turning around or going back. For this reason, we do not recommend the Haunted Fire House for children ages 12 and under. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for the Haunted Fire House. For more information, visit the event website at www.fearthecaptain.com, or call Station 57, Monday – Friday at (727) 784-8668.

The ToyMakers of East Lake "Making Smiles One Toy at a Time" The ToyMakers, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation located in Pinellas County, Florida that is seeking volunteers to help with their important mission. From the simple beginnings of the original ToyMakers group that started in Pasco County, Florida, approximately 250,000 toys have been donated to agencies in the local communities in Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Alachua counties including Ronald McDonald Houses, All Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital in Tampa, Shands Pediatric Clinic, and many non-profit agencies. Additionally, toys have been shipped to the Midwest during floods, to Louisiana and Mississippi during the aftermath of hurricanes, to Mexico, Haiti, Cuba and the Caribbean with medical and health mission teams, and to Iraq and Afghanistan through military contacts. Any time there is a need, toys can be sent to children in need. Since 1982, over 100 inquiries have been made from around the world about setting up ToyMaker groups. There are three ToyMaker groups in the Pasco/Pinellas area. ToyMaker work-

shops vary in size and equipment, but all have the common thread of wanting to help bring smiles to children. Locally, the ToyMakers of East Lake, an outreach mission of East Lake United Methodist Church, began operation in the third quarter of 2007 with 6 volunteers. Currently, the group includes over 40 members operating 4 days each week in the Annex building purchased by ELUMC in 2007. Recently, the toy ministry has expanded to include soft, hand-made dolls and stuffed bears that are included with each delivery. Additionally, bicycles are being rebuilt and recycled in the toyshop of this local chapter. Deliveries are made quarterly to agencies such as Children’s Therapy Center of East Lake, The Haven of RCS, Operation PAR, Fisher House at Bay Pines VA Hospital in Tampa, Cuscaden Child Care Center, Tampa, Pasco-Hernando Early Learning Coalition, Spring Hill, FL, Ronald McDonald House, Gainesville, Tarpon Woods Fire and Rescue Unit, Rosa Valdez Child Care Center, Tampa, and Kid’s Charity of Tampa Bay. The ToyMakers of East Lake consider it a privilege to be able to offer

some form of comfort to these children and their families in stressful times. They humbly ask that if you can, please help them to continue bringing smiles to the sick and needy children in the Tampa Bay area! Please visit their website, www.toymakersofeastlake.org for more information or to donate or sign up to volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunity Florida’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program needs volunteers to join its corps of dedicated advocates who protect the rights of elders who live in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family care homes. The program’s local councils are seeking additional volunteers to identify, investigate and resolve residents’ concerns. Special training and certification is provided. All interested individuals who care about protecting the health, safety, welfare and rights of long-term care facility residents – who often have no one else to advocate for them – are encouraged to call toll-free 1-888-8310404 or visit the program’s website at www.ombudsman.myflorida.com.

Civil Air Patrol Members Join Community Emergency Response Team Training at Station No. 57 in East Lake By 1st Lt. Sandra Guthrie, Members of the Pasco Cadet Squadron, The Civil Air Patrol, joined other local residents at a recent Community Emergency Response Team training session held at the East Lake Fire Station No. 57. The squadron’s commander, 1st Lt Sandy Guthrie, senior staff, several cadets, and parents from the squadron, attended the intense three-day workshops held at the East Lake Fire Rescue Department's training center, which also houses one of Pinellas County's EOC (Emergency Operations Centers). With the C.E.R.T. Participant Manual as their guide, students learned about: disaster prepared-

ness, fire safety, disaster medical operations, basic search and rescue, C.E.R.T. organization procedures, and disaster psychology. The class took place June 2224, with nearly 16 hours of classroom, hands-on training, and participation in a simulated disaster exercise. Participants received their official certification on July 18, 2012. Guthrie believes that the training will not only help her squadron be better prepared for an emergency (such as was witnessed during Tropical Storm Debby), but will equip the unit's members to be of service to their community, state and nation. The class, sponsored by the East Lake C.E.R.T. Team, is funded by the Department of

Tampa Bay Local Beads to Raise Money and Awareness for Charity Rather than throw them in the trash, Tampa Bay local Kathi Stoy has found a way to turn annoying directmail political campaign ads into a way to provide food to the homeless. Her creative “NO B.S. Political Beads” are helping to spread awareness and raise money for an important Tampa Bay charity. Stoy is recycling direct mail political ads to make NO B.S. Political Beads; a line of jewelry made from political campaign flyers. One hundred percent of the money raised from the sale of these necklaces, bracelets and earrings will go to Trinity Café, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit, non-denominational Tampa charity that serves meals to the poor and homeless. “If You Can’t Beat ‘em…Bead ‘em!” “Too much money is being spent promoting politicians and not enough money is going towards fixing real problems. I want a little of the money wasted on these flyers to help people in need,” says Stoy. Pam Sica, also a Tampa Bay resident, agrees, “I purchased a necklace

8

because I too am sick of these flyers cluttering my mailbox. Too much talk and not enough action.” NO B.S. Political Beads are currently available at the Sound Exchange locations in Tampa (813-978-9316) and Pinellas Park (727-5450042). Prices are: Earrings ($5), Bracelets ($5) and Necklace ($8); 100% of the money raised will go to Trinity Café. Other local businesses and individuals are encouraged to “Jump on the Beadwagon!” About Trinity Café Trinity Café has been a beacon of hope and compassion in the Tampa Bay community since 2001. Housed at the Salvation Army on Florida Avenue in Tampa, it serves over 200 hot, nutritious meals each and every weekday, including holidays. Anyone is welcome – without question or qualification. Since Trinity Café first began, it has served more than 789,000 free restaurant-quality meals

to the homeless, poor and anyone wishing to receive a meal. The meals are prepared by a professional chef and served by volunteer waiters. The guests sit at cloth-covered tables set with china dishes and silverware. They are asked for nothing in return - no mandatory religious services or counseling or work. While Trinity Café recognizes the vital importance of providing nourishment to those who are hungry, much more is needed. Together with the solidarity and commitment of its staff and volunteers, Trinity Cafe strives to be a gateway to positive change in the lives

of the people it serves and seeks to enlarge its guests’ capacity for self-help and reconnect them to the broader community. Through commitment to combating hunger and homelessness, the organization provides the support and respect guests need to encourage them to become self-sufficient and regain hope for the future. Trinity Café is a place of love, compassion, and dignity… a true lifeline to those in need. Executive Chef Alfred Astl prepares more than 200 meals each day, Monday-Friday, 52 weeks a year. Trinity Café’s mission is to restore a sense of dignity to its hungry and homeless neighbors by serving a nutritious meal while nourishing spirits through acts of acceptance, compassion, love and respect. Help Your Child Make This School Year a Great Experience By Tamara Rokicki For most children summer vacation came to an end a few weeks ago and it’s time to ease back into the school routine. As parents and children ready themselves for another school year, it can cause some stress and anxiety. Making this year a great academic and social experience is just a matter of positive thinking, planning ahead and adjustment of daily routines. Eileen Kennedy-Moore, a clinical psychologist and coauthor of Smart Parenting for Smart Kids: Nurturing Your Child’s True Potential explains that it’s normal for a child to display some anxiety at the beginning of the school year. Although the change of routine can cause students to have some trouble sleeping, she explains that it is a normal occurrence and parents shouldn’t be too concerned. Parents play an important role on how children view the oncoming school year. Kennedy-

Moore states that a parent’s attitude is detrimental on how children react to the new school year, as they can easily pick up on their parents’ feelings and magnify them. Positive reinforcement is extremely important and although parents shouldn’t dismiss their children’s anxiousness, they should make an effort not to blow them out of proportion. She explains, “We don’t want to dismiss their feelings, but we do want to normalize them and say ‘Everyone feels a little nervous going into the classroom, but I really think you’re going to be fine.’” The article “Why Parent Involvement Matters” written by the website (schoolfamily.com) stresses the importance of parent involvement. It explains that decades of research prove that children whose parents are involved in their education perform better in and out of school. Some of the benefits include higher test scores, better grades, better social skills and improved behavior.

East Lake Area Neighborhood News

Teacher Stephanie Drew of Alabama encourages parents to ask their children how their day was, show interest in what they’ve learned and help with their homework. “[Children] realize that their education is important and that it's important to their families also. They find value in their education because their parents value it,” Drew explains. She adds that parent involvement also lets the teacher know that parents are willing to work with them by keeping the communication lines opened. Doctor Michele Borba, parenting and child expert, suggests that a proactive way to ease into the school year is to set time aside to simply chat with your child. Instead of trivializing his fear of new changes, thank him for sharing his concerns. Suggesting age appropriate books such as First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg can help open up the dialogue.

Early school years are a great learning experience for children, not only academically but also emotionally. With a positive attitude and regular involvement, your child will encounter a successful and happy year.

at many decorator books with samples, in addition to style and color suggestions from Roxana, we purchased sheers as window treatments for our living room. Roxana was meticulous in the details she offered during our inhome consultation. The measurements were exact, she took time helping me decide on the materials and sheerness we needed for our home, plus she recommended two more people to do other design work for us. I was pleased with the installation and the high quality her company represents. Roxana is an honest, sincere, creative, knowledgeable and pleasant woman with whom to work. I would highly recommend her company, Budget Blinds of Tarpon Springs. You will be delighted with your new window coverings and the attentive, caring service you receive!” Roxana demonstrated how motorized window treatments work during our appointment. She carries Somfy brand remotes, which are programmable, so that you’ll be able to adjust your window treatments throughout your home with just a touch of a button. Arry’s Roofing Services Shares the Advantages of Owning a Metal Roof By Katie Thomas James "Arry" Housh has been actively involved in the roofing company for thirty years. Alongside his wife Becky Housh and with the help of their two sons Stephen and Matthew, he runs the reputable Arry's Roofing, a company dedicated to providing quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. The Housh family's dedication has enabled Arry's Roofing to expand their small, honorable and trustworthy family-run business into the well-known and trusted company it is today; servicing residential, commercial and industrial projects with value and integrity. I recently spoke to Matt regarding metal roofing and the benefits it provides homeowners. Arry’s Roofing fully supports the advantages of metal roofing and is a specialist in metal roofing. Additionally, Arry’s in-house custom sheet metal shop allows the metal roofing specialists to customize your roof to be an exact fit for your house and your designs. Matt says, “Metal roofing is more

22

of a craftsmanship and an art, similar to tile. In the early 2000s we saw the advantages of metal roofing and started our metal roofing shop, trained our guys specifically in metal roofing and began to create a reputation of being metal roofing specialists.” Metal Advantages: Metal roofing is known to be initially more expensive than other roofing types at first glance, but in the long run metal roofing can save homeowners money due to its durability, energy efficiency and ability to increase the resale value of your home. Matt explains that the average lifespan of a non-metal roof is seventeen years; whereas metal roofing is proven to last 2-3 times longer with fewer repairs than other types of roofing materials. When installed by qualified and skilled metal roof specialists, metal roofing can last for longer than 50 years with little maintenance. Matt adds that a metal roof is extremely beneficial, especially in Florida, because there is no other roof composite that is as strong and as durable as a

metal roof, which if installed properly can effectively withstand the harsh Florida winds and storms. If you are a homeowner and are seeking out a way to reduce the price of your energy bill and would like to build a roof with energy-saving material, Arry’s Roofing recommends you look into getting a metal roof. Metal roofing is economically sustainable and better for the environment than many traditional types of materials, such as petroleum-based shingles. The installation of reflective metal roofing can save your home up to 40 percent in cooling costs. Arry's Roofing is proactive and

innovative, keeping up to date in the industry by furthering their education regularly. Matt says, “We use new products that are safe. By keeping on top of what is offered, we are able to bring our customers cleaner, better and safer products." The company has all the knowledge necessary to help you find the right metal roof that will not only look beautiful on your home, but will also be an asset in saving money and cutting energy costs. The Lucky Dill Hosts Local Southern Blues Band at the NYC Bar By Lenay Ruhl Tucked in the back corner of the bustling NYC Bar within The Lucky Dill, the Paul Anthony Duo melodically transformed the restaurant into a leisurely dining experience. The Lucky Dill, with its restaurant, bakery and Tribeca Lounge, offers a fresh, mouth-watering menu. If that’s not enough to make you want to savor your time and relax, the nightly live music will. Jimmy Cappezzuto, Mr. Amazing (according to his Lucky Dill business card) is responsible for scheduling the music. They don’t advertise for bands, the bands find them. Cappezzuto has been in the business a long time, so some of the scheduled musicians are people he’s known for years. Others call him and ask – how do we get in? He said he has at least 200 demo CDs in his office. With such a high demand for musicians, they host open auditions on Monday nights, allowing musicians to come and play for a half-

34

hour. They are looking for all different types of music to satisfy their diverse clientele. On the weeknights they schedule one man acoustics and duos, and the weekends are saved for full bands. On Wednesday, Aug. 22 the Paul Anthony Duo, more commonly known as the Paul Anthony Band, played a two-man set at The Lucky Dill. They are a local talent from Gulfport, FL. Lead guitar and vocals, Paul Anthony, moved to Florida in 1994 with his band, seeking a more happening music scene than Cleveland, OH. He has since parted ways with his original band members, and he now has Doug Catalano on drums and Paul Kruse on bass and vocals. From the beginning Anthony had no problem finding gigs, playing his first set at Dave’s Aqua Lounge, a blues place off of Gandy Blvd. in St. Petersburg. To get started he just drove around, read a lot of magazines, and played for free to get known. Now he is playing between five to seven nights a week. Anthony mostly performs with his band, but

he does duos and singles as well. At The Lucky Dill, on this particular night, he played a duo with Kruse on bass. Surrounded by the dim lighting and the NYC décor, an ever-changing colored light glowed against the wall behind them. Anthony and Kruse set up at the top of the steps leading from the bar into the Tribeca Lounge. Looking down at the patrons, most sipping on wine, beer and cocktails, they played crowd-favorite covers that inspired cheers, claps and a few in the crowd to sing along. The duo was able to rock out, offering the crowd their promised “a little something for everyone,” which is what the band is known for. They list their influences as Jesus Christ, Jimmy Hendrix and Bruce Lee. When questioned about how Jesus Christ influences his music, Anthony

Paul Anthony Band said, “I think we’re all held accountable for the gifts he gives us.” Given the gift of music, on his newest album track seven worships Jesus Christ with the song, “Jesus Rose,”

helping Anthony to “give back a bit.” Anthony gave The Lucky Dill a taste of his soul-felt music, starting his set with Stevie Ray Vaughan, one of his all-time favorite guitar players. They played a variety of music; Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, just to name a few. They threw in some originals along the way, including “Pickin’ for a Livin,’” which is a solid tune that captures the blues and southern rock sound the Paul Anthony Band has strummed together. Anthony just recently picked up his gig at The Lucky Dill, and describes it as extremely low key. “I like the atmosphere, I like the food and I like the people,” he said. Open late nights, The Lucky Dill offers a menu, “slimmed” down to between 60-70 food items to choose from, a larger selection than most restaurants offer any time of the day. They display a

full bar with a diverse selection of cocktails, wine and craft beers. Capezzuto believes that people want to go out and be entertained, and by providing live music such as The Paul Anthony Duo, he hopes to give everyone that full dining experience. With the New York style restaurant seating 400 people, “we’re not here to get them in and out,” said Capezzuto. “I like to be known as a place that has live entertainment.” Live music is scheduled every night except for Monday, and the calendar can be found on The Lucky Dill’s website, along with a list of their daily specials. The full Paul Anthony Band trio will rock The Lucky Dill again on Saturday, September 29. The Lucky Dill is located at 33180 US 19 in Palm Harbor. “Kathleen Hall” Continued from page 1 and check out this photographer. The photographer takes great pride in their work and explains all of the things that will be done during the shoot. The prices were reasonable and she was willing to travel. [She is] absolutely the nicest person to work with. I cannot wait to get pictures done again.” Capturing Your Memories for 25 Years Kathleen Hall has had a successful photography business in Palm Harbor for nearly 25 years, and has recently opened a brand new studio in The Fountains Kathleen Hall shopping plaza just off of U.S. 19, just south of Alderman Road. The Kathleen Hall Photography Studio is designed to incorporate natural light and a comfortable, private atmosphere. Her studio is miles away from the hectic mall photography experience. Gone are the cookie-cutter backdrops and the poses that everyone has seen before. Instead, clients receive a one-on-one session where everyone can feel comfortable to really be themselves. As a popular local photographer, Kathleen has had the opportunity to become a part of the family over the years to many Palm Harbor residents who turn to her to document many of their milestones. In addition to taking photographs at her studio, Kathleen can be found on location all over Tampa Bay from the beach to the bay, from the lake to the bayou taking engagement pictures, wedding photos,

and family portraits. Kathleen says, “What I do is so personal. I feel so totally a part of the community because I get to be there for the important events in people’s lives-their weddings, their babies, their memories. I absolutely love it.” Portraits as Unique as You Are Choosing a Portrait Session with Kathleen Hall Photography is easy and stress-free. She has a number of sessions to choose from, or you can customize your own. In addition to Location Sessions and Studio Sessions, Kathleen also offers Newborn Sessions that are specially designed to create the most comfortable atmosphere for your newborn as possible, from controlling the lighting to controlling the temperature in the studio so that baby (and mom and dad) are happy the entire time. The first few weeks of your newborn’s life are extraordinary, and those tiny, kissable fingers and toes get bigger by the day. Portraits of your baby will be treasured by everyone you love for generations to come. If you are expecting, Kathleen offers a Pregnancy Session that is specifically designed for the mother-to-be, as this is an amazing and emotional time in a woman’s life. These elegant photos will last forever and help the entire family continue to enjoy that special time of expectation, excitement and transformation. One of Kathleen’s latest passions is a new photography session style that she calls Romantic Portraits or Glamour Portraits. This type of session is designed to show each woman how beautiful they really are, and Kathleen says that the experience has been a fulfilling thing for her in her career and completely ” life changing” for the women that she has had the opportunity to photograph. Each Romantic Portrait Session is

done at the studio and includes being pampered by hair and makeup professionals who are there to enhance your natural beauty (not cover it up). Romantic Portraits are not prop-centered, and each session is unique. While photography tricks can be used to fix flaws, and hair and makeup professionals are at the ready, Romantic Portraits are designed to capture a woman’s natural beauty. Having professionals take the stress out of the prep makes the experience relaxing and fun, and the outcome is phenomenal. Unlike the ultra-private boudoir photo sessions that have popped up in recent popularity, Kathleen’s Romantic Portraits get to the crux of who each woman Romantic Portrait Sessions enhance is by focusing on her eyes, her your natural beauty hands, her smile, her form.
