Motion Council – Put Your Body in Motion! Here to debunk some of the common misconceptions you might have in regards to the chiropractic profession and enlighten you on the importance of implementing such care into a part of your healthy lifestyle, Jason Hurley, DC, FIAMA, of Motion Council is paving the way for the future of chiropractic care. Helping to define the influential role visiting a chiropractor plays in leading an active, pain-free life, Motion Council is a complete wellness center that focuses on helping you to maintain optimal health both internally and externally. Offering a synergistic combination of

chiropractic acupuncture, massage therapy and nutritional counseling, Dr. Hurley’s practice centers around the premise of stimulating movement in your joints. “My goal is to put motion back in your body, which is why I named my practice Motion Council,” says Dr. Hurley. “If you have joint mobility, your pain tends to decrease.” Many people have this idea that if you go to a chiropractor once you have to go for the rest of your life. Dr. Hurley says, “Chiropractic is nothing to be scared about; treatments are both safe and effective. If you try it once and it’s not right for you, there is no harm to your body by not following up with subsequent treatments

Hope Children’s Home Providing a loving caring home to abandoned, abused, neglected and orphaned children from newborn to 18 years old, as the name implies, Hope Children’s Home truly is a beacon of hope to children and families throughout Tampa Bay and beyond. Relying solely on the support of the community and generous individuals, churches, businesses and organizations, Hope Children’s Home is a charitable organization that does not receive any sort of government funding, therefore it is up to us, the Tampa Bay Community, to help aid them in continuing their altruistic mission of love and care. For over 40 years, Hope Children’s Home has taken children in and tried to make a difference in their very impressionable lives and since 1968, has cared for over 5,000 children, who have come to them not only from cities across the United States, but all over the world. “We feel that God has called us to help rebuild the broken lives of these children and to build the bridge, when possible, between home,

parent, and child,” says Stan Pittman, Outreach Coordinator. “The rewards of our labor are the thousands of young people across the country who are now productive adults raising their own children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The faith that we exercise each and every day for our needs is a faith that is passed on to the children as they see God’s faithful hand of provision.” Taking a tour throughout their impressive 55-acre beautifully wooded campus, complete with separate dormitories for boys and girls and brand new 4,000 sq. ft. cottages that allow siblings to live together in a family environment, as well as a fully functioning state-accredited school, and so much more, my husband Matt and I instantly felt the love and passion that just exudes from every smiling face that calls Hope home. child is a son, a daughter, a sister, a brother and a friend. No matter their background, culture or previous living situation each child has become a part of the Hope community and together they all share one thing in common – they are all family! Since opening their doors, the success stories have been endless, as the values and principles they have learned at Hope International have prepared them to be the best that they can be in every aspect of their lives. And, as the children grow older, eventually going on to college and out into the world, no matter where their life might take them, Hope International will always be their true home! The lives of these children are forever changed by the selfless love of the caring individuals who make this all possible, whether it be through donations, or volunteering or by those who have dedicated their lives to being parents and mentors to the children at Hope International Children’s Home! Westchase Music School By Marcy Sanford Since opening one year ago, the teachers and students at Westchase Music School have been busy making beautiful music, giving back to the community, and forming new bonds and friendships. “We wanted to make Westchase Music School a vital part of the neighborhood,” says owner Rick Foessett. “One of the ways we’ve given back to the community is by entertaining the residents at Ashton Gardens. It is a wonderful way for the students to see how the music they are making can entertain and enrich people’s lives.” Whatever the instrument, Westchase Music School’s teachers can help your child master it. Voice, piano, guitar, violin, flute, oboe, drums – the experienced staff at Westchase Music School can match your child to the teacher who will help his or her talents flourish. “We match students up with a teacher that we think will be a good fit with their personality,” says Westchase Music School staff member Nicole Aaronson. “We talk to the parents about the type of teacher they and their child prefer and what genre

of music the child is interested in. We help match personalities so our students are even more successful in their music lessons. Every lesson includes 30 minutes of individual instruction and 15 minutes in the music technology lab. Our teachers really focus on the student and let them choose the songs and style of music they are interested in. It makes the lessons fun for the children and gives them a better success rate.” All of the teachers at Westchase Music School are hand picked by Rick’s wife and co-owner Helen. “Before we moved to Westchase, we had opened a very successful music school in Charlotte, North Carolina,” says Rick. “Helen knows the questions to ask to find the best teachers. All of our teachers have degrees in music; many of them have their masters. Some work in the schools or are retired from teaching. When hiring teachers, we want to make sure that they can communicate with the students and that they know how to teach. Someone may be a wonderful musician but that does not necessarily mean they will be a great teacher.” “I love teaching people to find

want to expand on the lessons you had as a child, Westchase Music School is the place for you. “We have many adults who take lessons,” says Rick. “Our teachers can teach any age. We have a group of students’ parents who have formed a guitar club. They meet every Tuesday and the teacher teaches them a song they are interested in or helps them with whatever instruction they are interested in.” Recently, Westchase Music School began offering a parents’ night out, where parents drop off their kids at the school, giving them some time to themselves. This popular event is open to all children in the community from 3 to 14 years old. “We have a great time at our parents’ night out,” says Nicole. “We have karaoke, instruments for the students to play, arts and crafts, video games, movies and pizza. The children love it.” Westchase Music School’s Parents’ Night Out is the last Friday of the month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Another great service that Westchase Music School offers is band instrument rentals and right now until

the end of October they are offering the first 2 months of rentals for free. “We are very excited to have such a great music school in our neighborhood,” says Joyce Bhutta. “My daughter has been taking lessons for 2 months and loves it. She really likes her instructor and has learned so much since starting the classes. It is a very professional place.” Westchase Music School is located at 11301 Countryway Boulevard in the Lexington Professional Park at the corner of Countryway Boulevard and Citrus Park Drive. They offer lessons Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information or to register for a class, visit their web page www.WestchaseMusicSchool.com or call them at (813) ‘925-0102.

Bear Track Lake Adventures – A Nature-Lover’s Dream! By Alexis Selby No traffic, no commercialization, and no stress; surrounded by nothing but nature, as you sit on the back porch and stare out into the serene lake and lush woodlands, you are instantly overcome by a sense of calmness and relaxation. Perfectly contrasted by the vibrant green tree line, the sky is a light blue color. There is not a sound to be heard for miles, aside from that of chirping birds or the ‘who’ of a friendly owl – when you stay at a Bear Track Lake Adventures’ cabin you truly have found a secluded oasis and a perfect representation of what it means to get away. If you have never taken a vacation to the beautiful mountains of Kentucky, than you are missing out on one of the country’s most exclusive hidden gems and Bear Track Lake Adventures surely has done an exceptional job of bringing you to nature’s doorstep. Situated in the middle of a valley on 32 acres of mountainous terrain, overlooking a 7 acre lake, this picturesque setting is like something out of a fairy tale. From the moment you arrive you will slowly feel your tensions slip away and the stresses in your life all of a sudden won’t seem so important. If you are looking for the perfect place to recharge your batteries you have found all that and more at Bear Track Lake Adventures. As a guest at Bear Track Lake Adventures expect a warm Kentucky welcome from owners Fred and Janice Austin, as well as their son Justin and their three dogs. They were such gracious hosts and really did an amazing job of making us feel welcome and introducing us to the area. Living right down the road from the cabin, they were always there if we had any ques-

Their dogs made great walking companions, especially their beautiful Husky Rocco, who on the first night stayed outside our window, guarding us against any creatures that might be lurking about. Fred Austin, a Health Care Administrator in Florida for 17 years, got to missing his mountains and seasons and returned to Kentucky. He built the cabins at Bear Track Lake Adventures as a way to share this beauty with the rest of the world, and since his first cabin was built over three years ago, Fred has had guests from as far away as Europe and as close as neighboring Kentucky cities. No matter where you live or the lifestyle you lead, you can surely appreciate the magnificence that the Kentucky mountains have to offer!

Sleepy Bear’s Dream With two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an additional loft with a bunk bed, the Sleepy Bear’s Dream, comfortably sleeps seven, and is the

perfect option for families. Newly built in January, the cabin is immaculate and features hand-crafted furniture, custom wood countertops, two thirdfloor balconies, a full downstairs with a pool table, a work out bike and a hot tub, and my personal favorite – a back porch that overlooks the lake. Just picture yourself waking up to that amazing view, drinking your morning coffee as you sit back in the rocking chair taking in the serenity of the lake as the fog slowly rolls off the top of the water. The feeling is almost surreal, knowing you are amongst nature in its truest form, something untouched by man.

Bear Lair Cabin For those with a smaller group, the second one bedroom cabin is the perfect fit, and sleeps four comfortably. Located right down the road from the Sleepy Bear’s Dream, the Bear Lair too sits right on the lake, with a back porch that overlooks the serene body of water and pristine na-

ture. Built a few years ago, this cabin is just as beautiful and showcases the same craftsmanship and attention to detail as its sister cabin next door. As their names imply, these cabins are all about bears- from wood carvings in the pillars to the furniture, to figures and decorations that can be found throughout. I think Fred and Janice were very clever in naming these cabins as you truly feel like a bear in hibernation from the rest of the world. Away from your hectic schedule and work, for once can let your mind be at ease and not have to worry about the demands of your life. As amazing as the cabins are on the inside, if you love nature than you are going to have to walk outside and explore the many sights that Lee county Kentucky has to offer. And the best part is, if you are looking to do some exploring, you don’t even have to leave the property. With numerous hiking trails and walking paths, as well as cliffs, geological formations and many other unique sights, you can surely get your fix of nature on this 32 acre retreat. They also have a boat so you can take a trip around the lake for a different perspective; or possibly throw out a line to catch some catfish for lunch. Oh yeah, and did I mention – right outside the cabin doors are numerous 50 million year old caves, one of which boasts cave carvings that date back to what archaeologists believe to be over 8,000 years old. In fact if you are an adventure seeker and consider yourself to be the “outdoorsy” type you even have the option of staying in one of the caves overnight. “How would you like to stay in a 50 million year old hotel,” jokes Fred, “we have that!” “This is an amazing cabin and place to vacation,” writes one guest. “It was very relaxing and quiet. The

My two eleven year olds had a blast on the fishing boats this weekend. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed. We loved playing with the sweet dogs too. I’ve stayed at several cabins throughout Tennessee and Kentucky and this is by far my favorite. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the memories!” On our visit, my husband and I were very fortunate, as Fred gave us a grand tour of the property, showing us

the magnificent rock formations and caves. They truly are an impressive sight and as you gaze up in wonderment at these breathtaking geological formations that date back over 50 million years old it really does put your life into perspective. Each nook and cranny and uniquely formed layer tells a story of days past and one can only imagine everything these rocks have been through in their life span. in the surrounding area, from rock climbing the magnificent cliffs to hiking the trails in the state parks, to fishing and canoeing the waterways; they even have zip lining only a few miles away. In fact, you might not be aware of this, but Lee county Kentucky is ranked among the best rock climbing destinations in the world. “People travel from all over the world to rock climb here,” says Janice. When you visit I also recommend you visit the Red River Gorge – one of Kentucky’s famous sights. A natural bridge that

overlooks a steep 100 foot + drop off, the Red River Gorge really is a magnificent sight. Bear Track Lake Adventures truly is a nature lover’s dream and it is with a heavy head that I leave here today and return to reality; although I seek comfort in knowing I will once again return to this beautiful oasis and revisit the many amazing memories I have made on this wonderful trip. So, next time you are looking to escape from reality to a place where your stresses will simply melt away, where you can finally be at peace and recharge your batteries, I suggest you take a little trip to Bear Track Lake Adventures – it is a trip you will surely cherish for the rest of your life! Located five minutes from the world-class rock climbing of Pendagrass-Murrey Recreational Preserve, and 20 minutes from Natural Bridge State Resort Park & The Red River Gorge, Bear Track Lake Adventures’ Cabins are located at 575 Bear Track Lake Rd. in Beattyville, Kentucky. For more information or to book your next vacation please visit their website at BearTrackLakeAdventures.com, follow them on Facebook and Twitter, or give Fred and Janice a call at (606) 464-8097.

Coach Sladden gives the break down, “We played in the 2014 USSSA Fast Pitch World Series in Orlando, against a field of 53 teams from around the Nation. We played at several different complexes around Orlando/Kissimmee, including the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Disney. Our team went 9 and 0 in the tournament, even though it was double elimination, we didn’t lose a game. The last 4 victories came on the last day of the tournament. We scored 71 runs while allowing only 7! We had 5 shutouts in the 9 games and committed only 4 errors. The scores of our games were: 14-0, 13-3, 12-0, 2-0, 5-1, 14-2, 3-0, 4-1

and 4-0 in the championship game. We played teams from Georgia, Chicago, Indiana, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and South Florida. The West Virginia team –

the Baseburners – we defeated twice, the last one was the championship game, 4-0.” Sladden added, “All of the 13 girls had huge contributions and 2 of our players were recognized for outstanding performances – Jenna Wojnar was named the Overall Tournament MVP and Natalie Zweig was named Best Offensive Player.” Looking forward to more winning seasons; there is only a short break for these young athletes. Coach Sladden knows what it takes on the part of the team members and their parents, stating, “We will take a couple weeks off, then its back to work for the Fall/Winter season. Fast pitch travel softball is a year around sport. I would like to thank the parents of all the players for all of the sacrifices made for the girls throughout the year.” Congratulations Clearwater Lady Bombers “00” from all of us at Neighborhood News & Lifestyles!

“Motion Council” Continued from page 1 the choice to eat healthy, such as a diet full of fresh vegetables and hearty proteins it’s something that you should do for the rest of your life. “If you want to make the most of your life and live a good quality life, chiropractic is just one small piece of the puzzle,” says Dr. Hurley. So instead of viewing going to the chiropractor as something you have to do, why not consider it a positive addition to a healthy lifestyle?

Your Chiropractic Care Could be Covered by Your Insurance! For many living with back pain, cost is the major factor deterring them from seeking help. Well, did you know that Motion Council’s chiropractic care, massage therapy and nutritional guidance could be covered by your health insurance? And, that all it takes is one quick call to your insurance company, for Motion Council to find out if you are eligible to receive insurance-covered treatments. That being said, what are you waiting for? You have nothing to lose by calling Motion Council today to see if you are covered!

Stress – A Contributing Factor to Back Pain Contrary to what you may believe, not all back pain is caused by physical factors, such as spinal deterioration or an accident or fall. Dr. Hurley says, “Much of back pain is mental in origin, or at least brought on by things besides actual back injuries. The spinal cord controls everything in the body and the brain sends messages to the rest of the body through this cord. The key is the nervous system, and that is affected by your stress level, your nutrition, and many other factors. You would be surprised at how much of a difference getting toxins out of your body can help your back.” The nervous system is hard to define yet it dictates much of what happens in the body. Dr. Hurley adds, “It is the part of the means by which back pain can develop.” Stress isn’t the only factor when it comes to back pain, but it is something most people do not think about when it comes to back problems. Taking everything into consideration, Dr. Hurley looks at all the factors which can be contributing to your back pain and develops a unique program balancing the perfect combination of nutrition, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy and ex-

ercise. From there, he starts you on the road to recovery, rebuilding your body one step at a time.

The Motion Council Difference At Motion Council it’s not just what they offer that makes them different; in fact Dr. Hurley stresses more so that it’s what they don’t do that makes them so unique. First and foremost, at Motion Council you will never be required to have an x-ray taken, if you do not want one. Dr. Hurley says, “We only take x-rays based upon ‘medical necessity’. often x-rays are used to generalize symptoms that are not deemed “normal”, and the fact of the matter is, the outcome of Chiropractic treatments isn’t a spine reflecting a perfectly straight line. We are all different; it’s all about how we function. Dr. Hurley adds, “I don’t use generalized symptoms as scare tactics. I am very practical with my patients in finding out what is going on with their spinal health.” The truth is, you know your body better than anyone else, and therefore how you feel is the most accurate source for which Dr. Hurley bases his care. By helping you to tune in to what your body is saying, he teaches you to listen to your body, which in turn helps him to develop a unique program tailored to your specific ailments; not just something generalized from an x-ray. Dr. Hurley says, “It is my goal to

help my patients understand what it feels like to feel good again. Usually after a couple of treatments they begin to experience some relief. I help them to learn about their bodies and teach the importance of making adjustments a routine part of their life. After a while they become more familiar with their bodies so they know when they need to come in. The key is maintenance and not letting your pain get too far gone to where you have to start the road to recovery all over again.” Furthermore, at Motion Council, you can never expect to receive elaborate unnecessary care and will never be told you have to come in x amount of times a week for x amount of months for care that you may or may not need as your condition becomes better. Instead, Dr. Hurley constantly re-evaluates his patients from treatment to treatment and only sees them on a need-be basis. Eventually, it is his goal to get you to a point of maintenance to where you never have to feel pain or discomfort again. Dr. Hurley believes in the importance of using his hands when adjusting his patients and does not rely solely on that of mechanical instruments. “In the Greek language Chiropractic means ‘to do with hands’, and although using instruments is a great

adjunct, my practice focuses on the use of my hands,” says Dr. Hurley. “A lot of my patients have come to me after seeing other chiropractors who have only used instruments. And, although instruments are a great addition to my practice I feel it necessary for them to be considered just that – additions. They are not meant to supplement the use of hands.” Born and raised in the Tampa Bay, Dr. Hurley has a huge sense of community pride and does all he can to stayed involved via local organizations and sponsorship affiliations. This August Motion Council is celebrating their two-year anniversary, with over

750 patients served since opening – wow! In his career Dr. Hurley has worked on professional athletes in various different fields, including Lightening Players and pro tennis players, but it is helping individuals like you and me where he prides himself and his work. He says, “I am all about family and delivering quality, personalized care. My patients like to come see me; I improve their lives, and that means everything to me!” If you are living with back pain, you are not alone! So many Americans trudge along day to day just dealing with their pain, eventually getting to a point where they forget what it feels

like to be normal. Well, Dr. Hurley would like to change that. It is his mission to show you what it feels like to be yourself again – to live a normal, healthy pain-free life! Continued from page 1 restaurant, fresh fish is always a guarantee; they can make this promise because they always know exactly where each fish comes from – their very own fishing boats! Brought in daily, every fish that enters their restaurant is caught by one of their six commercial fishing boats. Tyson says “We bring fish in with the intention of running out of them daily, that way freshness is always a guarantee.” Conveniently located right next door to each other on Tampa road in Oldsmar, Rumba Island Grill and Salt Rock Tavern are merely a hop, skip and a jump from Westchase, which means you don’t have to travel far to enjoy this delicious cuisine first hand.

Salt Rock Tavern Offering a blend of a lot of the same ingredients that made Salt Rock Grill so famous, Salt Rock Tavern incorporates the same dedication to quality into the tavern vibe to bring you a unique spin on some of your classic favorites; from fresh seafood to certified Angus beef, chef-inspired flatbreads to hand-tossed salads. Oh yeah, and did I mention, as a world-class tavern they offer an exceptional selection of hand-crafted brews from local breweries such as Rapp Brewing, 7venth Sun and Pair O’ Dice to name a few. With 37 beers on tap, 20 of which are locally brewed, they have brews that pair perfectly with everything and anything on the menu. “Our goal was to create a laid back environment to where guests can come in and have any experience they want to have that evening – whether they have come in for a couple drinks and a few small plates or for a surf and turf meal with a lobster table; and of course everything in between,” says Tyson. Taking a look at their menu –

drinks on one side and food on the other – Frank and Tyson spared no expense in providing an exceptional selection; whether you have come to drink, eat, or both. After suggestions from Tyson and our fabulous server Maha, on our past visit, my husband and I shared a few different items, starting with the roasted Veggie Flatbread. As much as I love my meat, this flatbread was amazing, and made up for the lack of meat in so many ways; starting with the creamy goat cheese crumbled on top! Consisting of a doughy, crispy crust loaded with toppings, including juicy chunks of roasted tomatoes, sweet fire-roasted peppers, asparagus and grilled Portobello mushrooms and topped with a layer of cheese, this flatbread is a Mecca of flavor! Or maybe the Oldsmar Flatbread, featuring rotisserie chicken, nueske bacon, caramelized onions, wild mushrooms, mozzarella and fresh herbs is more your style! If you are looking for a light, fresh app to enjoy alongside your favorite libation, the Seared Ahi Tuna Napoleon is the way to go! Layered atop crispy wontons, the Napoleon showcased exquisitely prepared tuna with a tasty combination of avocado, scallions, and pickled ginger topped with a sweet balsamic reduction. In the mood for something different? They offer many other great appetizer

and small plate options including, twin filet mignon k-bobs, parmesan truffle fries and spicy honey garlic wings, to name a few. Looking towards the middle of the menu you will find a nice selection of dinner entrees, including their rotisserie chicken. A staple item used throughout the menu in numerous different preparations, their famous rotisserie chicken, a whole half chicken served over a bed of their creamy potatoes and swimming in juice and broth, is sure to satisfy any hunger! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, this seasoned chicken is loaded with flavor and tastes great dipped in the yummy potatoes. If you love burgers, than you have to try their Ybor Burger, a premium Angus patty topped with guava jelly, melted Gruyere cheese, potato sticks, nueske bacon and their secret tavern sauce. “This burger is my favorite,” says Maha. “I didn’t know if I’d like it at first – I’ve never heard of jelly on a burger before – but the sweet jelly, combined with the smoky bacon, crunchy potato sticks and sharpness of the cheese provides a taste that is like none other.” One thing is for sure, no matter what you order on the menu, exceptional taste and a remarkable presentation is always a guarantee! Flipping the menu over to reveal the drinks, there is no shortage of crafty

concoctions, from wines, champagne and of course beer, to specialty mixed drinks and delicious martinis – my personal favorite is their Blueberry Thrill Martini made with Stoli Vodka and muddled blueberries, shaken with fresh lime juice and a dash of club soda. If you have not tried the Sunday brunch at Salt Rock Tavern than you are missing out! Served every Sunday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., for $18.90, this fabulous brunch includes your choice of 2 mimosas, Bloody Marys or Screw Drivers, alongside their amazing chefcreated selection of fresh food. Featuring a huge variety, their brunch has everything from freshly shucked oysters, an omelet station and biscuits and gravy, to freshly smoked salmon, and a carving station for beef and ham. the amazing daily drink specials or mouth-watering food temptations, one thing is for certain – you have arrived at right place for a great time! Boasting some of the very best Caribbean cuisine on this side of the Atlantic, the menu at Rumba certainly depicts the diverse island cultures and showcases a little bit of everything. From fresh fish, and deliciously smoked poultry, beef and pork, to sandwiches, salads and finger foods, whether you want something from the sea or the land, the chefs at Rumba will serve up something sure to tantalize your taste buds. Chef Sean Reynolds says, “Rumba Island Grill has the best food and cheapest prices in the area, and all it takes is one bite or sip to be hooked!” On our previous visit, my husband and I decided to try a few of the options recommended to us by chef Sean, starting with the tuna nachos and jerk chicken wings. As we waited in anticipation for our appetizers to arrive our server Traci brought us some of their homemade corn bread muffins, which were a great snack to munch on. The perfect finger food for shar-

ing, the tuna nachos are fabulously light and refreshing. Layered with avocado, generous pieces of sesame encrusted tuna and a jalapeño on top, the crunchiness of the nacho bottom was a great complement to the tuna and the added herbs and spices combined for a really refreshing taste. On the other side of the spectrum we tried the jerk chicken wings, which we are so glad we ordered! Dusted with a delicious coating of seasoning the amazingly crispy skin of the jerk chicken wings had just the right amount of spice and when dipped into their yummy side sauces – cranberry bbq and mango bbq – the taste was exceptional. While waiting for our entrees, Traci brought over a couple of their fiesta house salads, which come included with their entrees. A colorful work of art, the fiesta salad came loaded with fresh mango salsa, and was garnished with fresh papaya – yum! If you love seafood, than you are going to adore their selection of fresh seafood, including the Herb Encrusted Mahi Mahi. Served in a lemon caper sauce, the herb crust perfectly complemented the creamy sauce and the fresh capers came together with the seasoned fish for a taste that was out of this world. Served with two sides – I chose the Jamaican greens and sautéed veggies – this meal preparation was fabulous! If you are more of a land lover, than you will be equally as happy with their selection of poultry, beef and pork and if you are feeling a bit hungry I suggest you try their Barbados Ribs. Doused in a mango BBQ sauce, the tender, juicy ribs basically fell off the bones and the sweet BBQ sauce provided a remarkable contrast to the smoky flavor of the ribs. For our sides we chose their Island coleslaw and coconut rice – both of which were really tasty! Needless to say, after this amazing meal we did not leave hungry, and we

still had plenty of leftovers to take home for later! “We have very generous portion sizes,” says Sean. “I have ever heard of anybody complaining that they are still hungry after eating here.” Served until 5:45 p.m., Rumba also has a very reasonable Early bird menu p.m. and offers a variety of options ranging from $6 to $11. At Rumba Island Bar & Grill it is always happy hour; all day every day you will find BOGO deals on many of their signature cocktails, as well as wines for $3 a glass and bud, bud light, and miller light drafts for $1.50! They also offer 12 beers on tap, numerous bottled beers, wines, a lengthy

list of cocktails and so much more. Rumba also has live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights; so come in, sit back and unwind from your hectic day out on the patio, and let your worries slip away! Rumba Island Bar & Grill is located at 3687 Tampa Road in Oldsmar. Their hours are Mon. – Thurs. 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Fri. and Sat. 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sun. 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. In true island spirit, the restaurant will stay open later to accommodate guests.
