airfield Elementary School first graders in Jennifer Tand’s school-wide Enrichment Classes investigated how a bird’s beak is adapted to its habitat. Students created a hypothesis and then conducted their experiments and compared results. Students went on a hunt to try to catch as much “food” as they could, using a variety of tools to simulate different types of beaks. Pictured is the experiment in progress.
