Dictionary Lesson
hird graders at Seaford Manor Elementary School were recently treated to new dictionaries from the local chapter of Verizon Pioneers, a volunteer association whose signature education project is to promote literacy by teaching dictionary usage to young students. The students perused through the many sections of their new dictionaries as the Verizon Pioneers explained the books’ various academic uses.
