r. John Delio, Principal of Connetquot’s Edith L. Slocum Elementary School in Ronkonkoma, recently thanked the members of the Lakeland Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance. Mr. Delio, Youth & Family Services coordinator Mrs. Eileen McAlpine, Phys Ed instructors and teacher volunteers had arranged for the students and staff to create and photograph a giant, living peace symbol on the athletic field.
