To Our Perspective Purchasers, This home has been a wonderful place for our family to relax, laugh, share, and grow together. From the start, we knew we would care for and cherish it. Over the years our family has grown and we are now making this change to be closer to our extended family and friends. One of the features that caught our eye when we first arrived was the large finished lower level which offers a generous 4th bedroom as well as a separate office space and wet bar. The extended family room area allowed our children to play with their wooden train set and go on many adventures with us. The movie screen and projector make for an immersive theater experience without having to go out. We have worked hard to keep this home in great shape by replacing and upgrading the exterior doors, water heater, furnace, air conditioner, humidifier and main sewer line. Almost every closet space has upgraded shelving that can easily be configured and rearranged to suite a variety of storage needs. The backyard had quite a few overgrown bushes and since cleaning those out our children have enjoyed a safe outdoor space to run and play. Over the years we have grown to love the neighborhood. We’ve had some great neighbors and great experiences in Stoney Brook Estates. Our family often would take walks through the neighborhood in the early evenings stopping to play at Stoneybrook Park. With close proximity to Matthew Henson State park and Rock Creek Stream Valley Park we often would encounter deer and other wildlife. With many mature trees in the neighborhood shade is plentiful making strolls through the neighborhood pleasant and comfortable. Being so close to both ends of the METRO Red line makes for great commuter or travel options to downtown DC. Additionally we have been spoiled with the multitude of shopping centers and malls within a short distance. After seven amazing years, our family is relocating to be closer to our extended family and friends. We have made great memories in this home. Bringing our children home from the hospital, celebrating first steps and first birthdays, dinner parties with friends and many other great experiences were had within these walls. Throughout good times, tough times and great times we have cherished and enjoyed our time on Colie Drive. Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you enjoy your new home as much as we did.
