magine waking up in your beautiful new studio Woodley Park’s Carlton building. You look out the window (actual view above) to the far reaching cityscape and think to yourself about how wonderful it is to live in our Nation’s Capital. After getting ready for work and grabbing a quick breakfast in the dining area next to the kitchen you head down the elevator. As you walk through the lobby the concierge greets you with a “Good Morning” and you walk out the building door and into the streets of this exciting city. You walk just a block or so down the street and within minutes you are on the metro and on the way to work.

A

fter work you hop off the train and walk across the street to grab an early dinner at one of your new favorite neighborhood spots. You grab your take out, make a quick stop at the CVS on the corner and then walk that short block back home. As you approach your building you think to yourself, “home sweet home.” Welcome to Woodley Park. Welcome to the Carlton. Welcome home...

Letter From The Owner

Dear future owner, My time spent living in the Carlton was seven fond years of comfort and balance. The Carlton is very quiet and maintained with consistency that makes for a clean, updated home. Our building manager, Raphael, is the best! He is available 24/7 and immediately responsive to needs. With access to the park in our backyard, I would step away for a run deep into the Rock Creek trail and be back in less than 30 minutes. Between the park and access to Virginia in 10 minutes driving, I forgot I was living in the middle of a city at times and this made for a very peaceful experience. When it comes to enjoying city perks, there are plenty. #61 at Nam Viet is a favorite local dish of mine. The nearby restaurant options cover the world over in cuisine. Aside from Vietnamese, some of my other go-to spots were Himalayan, Lebanese and Japanese. A simple walk through the historic Woodley Park neighborhood side streets to the nearby playgrounds with my nieces uncovered the real tranquil beauty of the area: leafy, hilly, quiet and safe. It allowed me to learn a thing or two about late 19th and 20th century revival architecture too! I will remember most the feeling of coming home from a work trip on a Friday and having every option available to me on how I want to spend my weekend. Sleep in late thanks to the quiet building and surroundings, check. Get up early and workout or go for a run, check. Go to the zoo or a park with my nieces, check. Jump on metro and visit a museum or gallery, check. Walk to Dupont or Adams Morgan for drinks with friends, check. Lounge on the rooftop deck and go for a swim in the summer, check...I can keep going...the overarching feeling was I was right where I wanted to be! Sincerely, John
