Dear Prospective Buyer, I hope you enjoy this house as much as I have for the past seven years! I’d love to stay, but I just got married and my husband’s next military assignment is taking us away from the area. I’ve spent the past few years upgrading many features of this townhome to make it cozy and relaxing and I hope you enjoy it. I personally love the rain-shower head in the master bath followed by coffee on the back patio in the morning. What a great way to wake up! Visitors to my home have always noted how peaceful the back bedrooms are and love hearing the birds chirping from the woods in the mornings. You really forget you are just minutes away from the heart of D.C. here. There are so many things to love about this neighborhood and a number of things I wish I knew sooner that I’d like to share with you. Some of the best New York Style pizza you’ll ever have (outside of New York) is within walking distance at Valentino’s over on Beauregard. Close by, you’ll find the Plaza at Landmark, where there is a grocery store, a gym, and a number of new businesses coming in, including most recently- Chipotle! A few years ago, I also discovered a community pool operated by the Lincolnia Park Recreation Club. It’s been a great place to spend time in the summer, enjoying a swim and having barbecues with the local community. I also love how close the house is to some of the top Fairfax County Schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. The school puts on a 5K runwalk on Pi Day (3/14) for the community, which I’ve enjoyed running in the past. And if you can’t find what you like nearby, the house is just a short drive away (less than three miles) from the Van Dorn Metro Station, which has been great for getting into the city on weekends! Also, the proximity to 395 and the beltway is one of the best features. Everything is so close, but you’d never know it tucked back into this beautiful quiet spot. As I move to New Jersey to begin my new married life, it will be very hard to say goodbye to this great neighborhood and the memories I’ve had here.
